Married at First Sight: Mia Bally and Tristan Thompson Finalize Divorce

Late this summer, we reported that it’s over for Married at first Sight couple Tristan Thompson and Mia Bally.

These two had a contentious relationship on screen.

But their divorce has happened surprisingly quickly — and has now been finalized.

RadarOnline reports that the at-first-sight marriage between Mia Bally and (the other) Tristan Thompson is over.

Officially!

According to court documents obtained from the Dallas County District Court, the hearing to finalize their divorce took place on November 5.

Mia Bally was reportedly present and agreed to the terms of the Final Decree of Divorce.

Tristan was not present at the time, but documents indicate that he also agreed to the terms.

The court documents read: “It is ordered that the Petitioner and Respondent are divorced.”

Mia Bally has what the court considers to be her sole separate property.

That includes the reciept of certain property, money, and vehicles — among other things.

Tristan has agreed to give her his interest in those properties.

By agreeing to this Final Decree, he has agreed to sign any documents required to surrender ownership of that property to her.

Mia has to do the same for Tristan, who will also get ana llotment of property, money, and vehicles as his sole personal property.

One of those pieces of property is his 2015 BMW.

They are each expected to pay any all taxes, bills, liens on any of their respective sole property, both now and in the future.

(In other words, Mia isn’t liable if Tristan owes, say, a tax payment on his BMW)

Also, Mia’s maiden name has been restored.

Name changes can be a tremendous hassle, to the point where some people don’t even change them when they get divorced.

But for many, it feels worth it.

All things considered, this has been a very speedy divorce process.

Mia filed for divorce from Tristan on September 4, 2018.

“The marriage has become insupportable,” Mia’s petition for divorce read.

The petition continued: “due to discord or conflict of personalities that destroys the legitimate ends of the marital relationship.”

The petition concluded: “and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”

All things considered, the two had an incredibly rocky relationship and it’s nothing short of amazing that their divorce lasted for only two months.

Married at First Sight made it pretty clear that Tristan had a difficult time trusting Mia.

There was Mia’s arrest when she was on her way to their honeymoon.

She claimed that she was only arrested because someone stole her identity. She later admitted that she had lied.

That very bumpy start continued when Tristan and viewers learned that Mia was using a dating app.

Ultimately, they decided to stay married … but then whatever they had fizzled out after the cameras stopped recording.

Marriages that went well until they soured can sometimes take years of contentious fighting before the divorce is finalized.

Maybe Tristan and Mia managed such a speedy, apparently amicable divorce because they never had that much passion.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Finalize Divorce After 3-YEAR Separation!

Well, it’s never pleasant when a couple gets divorced, but in this case, the news might be cause for celebration.

After three years of ups, downs, rehabs, relapses, marriage counseling, and accusations of nanny-banging, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have finalized their divorce.

Radar Online is reporting today that a judgment in Affleck and Garner’s court case was entered in Los Angeles Superior Court today.

Which means that for the first time since 2005, Ben and Jen are both legally single.

The emphasis here is on “legally.”

Garner is dating businessman John Miller these days, and Ben may or may not still be involved with 22-year-old Playboy model Shauna Sexton.

Not only does the selection of current partners speak volumes about the difference in personalities and priorities that likely contributed to the couple’s decision to split it also serves as a reminder of how long it’s been since these two parted ways.

When Ben and Jen separated, Obama was in office and Batman was most recently portrayed on screen by Christian Bale.

Hell, Affleck had a whole long-term relationship with Lindsay Shookus — complete with marriage rumors — between his relationships with Garner and Sexton.

Affleck has been to rehab at least twice in the time since he parted ways with Garner.

We say this not to shame the guy, but to point out that it has been a really long time since he moved out of the home he once shared with Garner.

To be fair, the process didn’t take so long simply due to indecisiveness on Ben and Jen’s parts (though there was certainly some of that.)

In fact, it had a bit to do with Affleck’s multiple rehab stints and Garner’s desire to do right by her kids.

Sources close to the former couple say Jen wanted to work out an amicable custody arrangement before finalizing the divorce but couldn’t bring herself to trust Affleck alone with the kids until he got serious about getting sober.

At some point in the past few months, he was apparently able to convince her that all is well, as Affleck filed divorce papers while still in rehab

And so ends one of the great love stories of the 21st Century.

At least Ben still has Matt Damon.

Johnny Depp: Refusing to Finalize Amber Heard Divorce Deal?

Back in August, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard reached a settlement after one of the ugliest celebrity divorce battles in recent memory.

However, like every other development in the bitter breakup, the deal was quickly revealed to be more far more complicated than it initially seemed.

Ironically, the trouble started when Heard vowed to donate her settlement cash to two charitable organizations.

Some saw the move as an effort to wring some good from a bad situation.

Others viewed it as a giant middle finger to Depp and those who claimed she had leveled abuse allegations in order to score a larger settlement.

In what was perceived by many as an effort to call Heard’s “bluff,” Depp offered to donate directly to the charities himself, rather than cut a check to his ex so that she could pass along the seven-figure gifts.

Before the deal was approved, Depp went ahead and paid out the first installments of the plan to the ACLU and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, the two charities selected by Heard.

Heard’s lawyers viewed the move as an effort to rob her of positive press coverage and score a massive tax write-off for Depp at the same time.

Now, the deal is back in court to be subjected to another round of wrangling.

Thus far, only the first round of $ 200,000 payments has been received by either charity.

New legal documents obtained by E! News reveal that Heard penned a declaration to the court, intended to clarify that she feels Depp is solely responsible for the fact that the cash has not been delivered to its intended recipients

“When Johnny learned that I planned to donate my entire marital settlement to charities, Johnny purported to satisfy his obligation to pay me by supposedly paying the charities I selected instead of me,” Heard writes.

“He also claimed that I violated the confidentiality provisions of the [Deal Point Memorandum] by announcing that I was donating my settlement to charities.”

She adds:

“In fact, I made those donations in good faith and I was responding to the leaks by Johnny’s agents bragging that I had settled for substantially less than a reported, earlier offered sum and attempting to label me a gold digger.”

The actress goes on to accuse Depp of planting defamatory tabloid stories in order to damage her career.

Depp has yet to respond to Heard’s latest allegations.
