Ryan Reynolds Responds to Blake Lively Unfollow: I"m Very Sad ...

Earlier this week, Blake Lively unfollowed Ryan Reynolds, and it was no accident.

A lot of fans immediately feared the worst for this gorgeous married couple.

Now, Ryan is speaking up … in true Ryan Reynolds fashion.

In an interview with Australian radio show Smallzy Surgery (it’s Australian and a radio show, so of course that’s its name), Ryan acknowledged that, yes, his wife did unfollow him.

“Yes, she did. I’m very sad about that.”

He goes on to share how it feels.

“Definitely stinks. It’s a terrible way to find out that I’ve been kicked out of the house, to be honest.”

As you may have gathered, this response is all tongue-in-cheek, as we’ll explain in a moment.

“Absolutely terrible. I don’t know where rage like that comes from.”

He even suggests what it would be like to explain this situation to their child.

“Mommy unfollowed Daddy on Instagram. My child would just fart and then walk away.”

There’s a reason that he’s in such good humor about this.

Because the unfollowing was nothing personal.

As we mentioned when Blake so famously unfollowed him, she also unfollowed almost everyone. And no, she’s not doing an Instagram purge.

It’s a stunt.

Blake Lively is currently following only 38 accounts on all of Instagram, and each belongs to a woman named Emily Nelson.

Blake Lively is starring as a woman named Emily Nelson in the upcoming film, A Simple Favor.

In the film, Emily goes missing suddenly, leaving a mommy blogger (played by Anna Kendrick) who describes herself as Emily’s best friend guessing about what happened.

This is the sort of film with mystery, twists and turns, and even the appearance of a dead body at some point during the film.

Throughout, Anna Kendrick’s character comes to admit that she did not know Emily as well as she thought that she did.

The teaser trailer dropped on Wednesday, so Blake’s stunt’s timing was not a coincidence.

At present, that teaser trailer is the only post on her Instagram page.

Ryan Reynolds is playing along with the “unfollowed” because he’s goofy and lovable.

It also brings more attention to his wife’s project.

Of course, it just so happens that Ryan has a new movie of his own coming out soon.

Deadpool 2, the much-anticipated sequel of the spectacular first film, follows the fourth wall-shattering adventures of an unkillable pansexual anti-hero named Deadpool.

Marvel and DC have long parodied and copied each other in comics, but Deadpool (originally intended as Marvel’s answer to the DC villain, Deathstroke) has become a truly unique character with a dedicated fanbase.

And Ryan’s own sense of humor meshes extremely well with the character.

We suppose that one of the greatest things about two young, stunning actors being married is that they can support each other’s projects.

Supporting each other is one thing, but using long-standing divorce rumors to promote a film is taking an extra step.

While Ryan’s film is more anticipated and is likely to draw a larger audience, many are intrigued by Blake’s movie.

And you have to admit that this is a great marketing strategy.

After all, how many people might never have even heard about this film, let alone researched it, had it not been for this marketing ploy?

It’s always nice to see social media marketing done well.

And, of course, to see a cooperative husband support his wife’s work.

Blake Lively: Did She Just Confirm She"s Divorcing Ryan Reynolds?

Last month, a rumor that Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively were headed for divorce made its way across the social media landscape.

At the time, the notion seemed somewhat ridiculous.

After all, Reynolds and Lively have long enjoyed a reputation as one of Hollywood’s happiest and most stable couples.

But to shock and chagrin of fans, reports of Blake and Ryan calling it quits just kept rolling in.

“The past few years, Ryan’s been working out of town while Blake stays home with the kids,” a source told Us Weekly.

“The distance between them has taken its toll.”

Reynolds employed his signature sardonic wit to shoot down the first round of reports:

“I wish,” the actor tweeted. “I could use a little ‘me time."”

Fans were relieved, of course, and the controversy was thought to be over and done with.

But earlier this week, Lively’s Instagram followers noticed that something was amiss on her page.

As Radar Online points out, not only had Lively deleted all photos of Reynolds from her page, she had also unfollowed him and changed her bio so that it read simply:

“What happened to Emily?”

Adding fuel to the fire, Lively then followed 28 accounts of women named Emily Nelson.

And like that, Emily Nelson became 2018’s answer to “Becky with the good hair.”

Fans assumed that Reynolds had been caught cheating and that Lively was determined to get to the bottom of his infidelity by hunting Nelson down.

Sadly, this high drama nosedived into a disappointing conclusion today when it was revealed that “Emily Nelson” is merely the name of a character Lively is playing in an upcoming film,

Yes, it was all an elaborate promotional stunt.

Whenever you roll your eyes about something like this, some smart ass always has to chime in with, “Well, I guess it worked! You’re talking about it, aren’t you?!”

Sure. In that sense, it worked.

But apparently the film in question – A Simple Favor – doesn’t open until September!

Does Blake really think this stunt is gonna stick with potential moviegoers for the next four months?!

She’d have to actually divorce Ryan to win our attention for that long.

Ryan Reynolds Responds to Blake Lively Divorce Rumors

Ever since Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively got married back in 2012, the actors have served as the embodiment of #CouplesGoals.

Aside from the fact that they’re both absurdly photogenic, Ryan and Blake seem to have the kind of lighthearted rapport that enabled A-list couples to navigate the rough waters of Hollywood monogamy.

But despite – or perhaps because of – the fairytale appearance of Blake and Ryan’s marriage, a new tabloid report has the couple on the verge of calling it quits.

According to OK! magazine, Reynolds and Lively are contemplating divorce due to the strain placed on their marriage by his work schedule.

“The past few years, Ryan’s been working out of town while Blake stays home with the kids,” a source tells the tabloid.

“The distance between them has taken its toll.”

A believable enough scenario, we suppose.

But if there’s any truth to OK’s claims, it comes as news to Reynolds, who denied the report in the sarcastic fashion that’s long made him one of the most amusing celebs on social media.

“I wish,” Reynolds tweeted in response to the article.

“I could use a little ‘me time."”

Reynolds’ sardonic tone might come as a surprise for those who don’t follow him on Twitter and who know him best from his pre-Deadpool work as a lead in romantic comedies.

However, those who have enjoyed his social media antics know this is all very on-brand for the actor.

This is, after all, the same purveyor of comic gold who’s been known to make fun of his fans’ crappy boyfriends and encourage followers to get his name tattooed on their ass.

Needless to say, Ryan’s tweets are not to be taken too seriously.

By all accounts, however, Ryan and Blake take their marriage and their duties as parents quite seriously.

Late last year, lively opened up about the struggles of raising two children despite a pair of very hectic work schedules.

“My husband and I don’t work at the same time, so we all go together as a family,” Lively told People magazine.

“If we’re away as a family, it’s never more than for a day. We stay together.”

Sounds like Lively and Reynolds won’t be calling it quits anytime soon – but that doesn’t mean he’ll stop lovingly roasting his wife on Twitter.

Blake Lively Has Us Wondering If Gossip Girl is Coming Back

XOXO?

More like XOX… no way, right?!?

Blake Lively has created quite the stir online among a certain section of television viewers as a result of an Instagram photo she shared on Wednesday morning.

The picture features Lively as the passenger in a car that’s just passing the Brooklyn Bridge.

She’s staring out the window with a smirk on her face, eyebrows raised, hair a little out of place and just one word included as a caption:

Spotted.

As Gossip Girl fans know extremely well, this was the way in which the blogger at the center of that former CW smash would begin every post/voiceover.

Might Lively be implying something significant?

Might she be teasing an upcoming Gossip Girl reboot?!?

Don’t scoff. Just look around your television dial for reasons to believe this could actually be the case.

NBC has found success this season with a revival of Will & Grace. ABC is about to air a new version of American Idol.

Heck, not only is Roseanne set to return with the same cast… so is Murphy Brown, a sitcom that last aired an episode in 1998.

Would it really be that much of a stretch, in this TV environment, for The CW to green light another few seasons of Gossip Girl?

The series wrapped up in 2012 after 121 installments, but it remains a favorite on Netflix and on forums across the Internet.

Even if only a handful of cast members wanted to reprise their roles, it’s definitely the kind of program that could pull off a revamped series of storylines.

Just toss a bunch of wealthy attractive teenagers into the Upper East Side scene of New York City and see what happens, basically.

Lively portrayed Serena van der Woodsen on the show, the best friend of Leighton Meester’s Blair and occasional lover of Penn Badgley’s Dan.

She hasn’t appeared in many shows or movies since Gossip Girl went off the air, but we did enjoy her role in 2016’s The Shallows.

The gorgeous star has been busy, however.

She gave birth to a pair of kids and has been raising them well alongside husband Ryan Reynolds.

But Lively recently shared a photo of her impressive weight loss, which only helps propel the possibility that Gossip Girl really is coming back.

Why shed all that weight and then show it off, after all, if she were not coming back as Serena?!?

Blake Lively Shows Off Insane Post-Pregnancy Body on Instagram!

It’s only been 18 months since Blake Lively welcomed her second child, and yet somehow, she’s rocking a summer body in February.

That may be almost impossible to believe but the actress posted photographic evidence on her Instagram page today:

“Turns out you can’t lose the 61 lbs. you gained during pregnancy by just scrolling through Instagram and wondering why you don’t look like all the bikini models,” Lively captioned the pic.

“Thanks @donsaladino for kickin my A double S into shape. 10 months to gain, 14 months to lose. Feeling very proud.”

Funny, in shape, and married to Deadpool?

“It’s not fair!” we cry, as we wipe Trump-colored Cheeto dust on our threadbare pajama pants.

Yes, yes … we know Blake has worked hard to get in such stellar shape, and we applaud her for it.

But what about those of us who don’t want to work out, but still don’t want an ounce of fat anywhere on our bodies?

You can see the predicament we’re in!

Amazingly, this is not the first time Blake has hit the gym hard soon after bringing a child into the world

“After I had a kid I thought, ‘Okay, this is what my body looks like. This is amazing — I earned this body,’ ” she said in 2016.

“‘And it’s not as good as it was before I had a kid, but, oh well.’”

Can we apply that mentality to eating one of every item on the Taco Bell menu in a single sitting?

It’s not as hard as having a kid, but we’re still proud of it, dammit!

Blake says that after her first kid, she was essentially forced to dedicate herself to nutrition and working out due to the fact that she was cast as a wetsuit-clad surfer in The Shallows.

“I’ve never been in that great a shape in my whole life,” she said.

“So to do it after having a kid was actually really nice. Because you see your body after having a kid and it’s beautiful because you just gave birth, but it’s also ‘Oh my god, this is not what my body looks like.’ You feel like you’re never going to get your body back again.”

Okay … there’s our excuse.

We’re never gonna be cast in a Hollywood movie, so it’s okay for us to continue living the slovenly life.

We’re feeling better already.

Anyone wanna split a pizza?

Blake Lively Claims Cherokee Heritage, Gets Roasted on Twitter

Discussions about race can be tricky in 2017, but there are certain truths we can all agree on:

For instance, no one would dispute that Blake Lively is one of the whitest human beings on the planet.

And yet, here’s Blake in a L’Oreal commercial claiming that she’s a descendant of the Cherokee Nation:

“I’m English, Irish, German and Cherokee,” Blake tells the camera, apparently unaware of the fact that her whiteness is literally all over her face.

The ad is part of L’Oreal’s new “buy makeup from us because we’re supes woke” campaign.

Unfortunately, no one told the folks in marketing that Blake has a history of being messy on racial issues, so L’Oreal doubled-down with not one, but two spots in which the actress tries to convince us that she’s ethnic.

Warning for those who are triggered by Maximum Whiteness:

Twitter had a field day with this one, responding to Blake’s claim with many a “Sure, Jan” GIF, and there’s good reason for their skepticism:

Warning: We’re about to drop some US history on y’all so get ready to draw boobs on the Statue of Liberty in your textbook while you pretend to pay attention:

Let us begin by saying there are millions of people who can legitimately claim Native American heritage.

But there are also a whole lot of people who claim to be of Cherokee descent just because they’ve been fed a line of BS by their parents.

There are several reasons for this, one of which is the fact that early 19th Century southern whites romanticized the Cherokees (while subjugating and oppressing every other race! Go figure!) and it became trendy to claim you were descended from a “Cherokee princess.”

Cherokee women married white men with greater frequency than the women of other tribes, which made such stories believable in the eyes of other whites.

“The Cherokees were viewed as a ‘civilized’ tribe,” Cherokee Nation citizen and genealogist Twila Barnes explains on her blog.

Add to that the fact that anyone who claimed to be Cherokee could apply for restitution funds allotted to the tribe in the early 1900s, and it becomes clear that the reason so many white people claim to be Cherokee is probably that their great-grandfathers were jerk-asses.

We understand that all of this can be confusing, so here’s a simple rule of thumb:

If you’re married to Ryan Reynolds or ever were married to Ryan Reynolds, you’re whiter than Bob Saget ordering an IPA while watching a hockey game at Cracker Barrel.

Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively: What Did They Name Baby No. 2?

Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively are the cutest parents on the planet.

Ever since it was revealed that the pair were expecting baby number two earlier this year, fans have been contemplating what they were going to call the newest addition to their family.

Now, we no longer need to speculate about the name of one of the newest children in the celebrity world.

The child has been named Ines

The pair have been known to keep the details of their private life pretty private, but they must have been so ecstatic at being parents that they decided to lift the lid on the name.

Ryan also revealed that Ines and James look pretty similar, but that’s kind of what you expect when their siblings. Right?

“Well, they look alike,” Reynolds revealed.

“You can see that [Ines is] sort of a little mini version of our older girl. But, no, it’s great. It’s like an actually cohesive, working, functioning family… It’s amazing to see my older daughter taking care of my younger one. The Lion King was right! The circle of life exists.”

Rumors were swirling that Blake was pregnant earlier this year when she was spotted on the set of The Shallows covering her stomach up.

Generally, in the celebrity world, people do this if they’re trying to keep a pregnancy quiet, or if they’re trying to cover up the fact that they went a little overboard at lunch.

Both Reynolds and Lively were in the spotlight a lot earlier in their careers, but they’ve kept lower profiles since being married in 2012.

It seems they are focusing on their movie careers, while building a family.

In all of the pictures released thus far, they sure look like very happy parents.

What do you think about the name?

Sound off below!

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds: Look at Our Adorable Kids!

THIS JUST IN:

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have drop-dead gorgeous, adorable and precious children.

This much has been surmised by just about anyone with eyes and a brain, but it has now been confirmed by the beloved stars themselves.

On Thursday, Reynolds was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one of the most prestigious distinctions any celebrity can accomplish.

So of course the Deadpool actor was accompanied by his wife for the occasion.

But Lively brought the couple’s two daughters along for the ceremony, giving the public a very rare look at two-year old James and a child who was born in September

… and yet whose name remains a mystery.

That’s how private Reynolds and Lively typically are when it comes to their kids.

“This is one of the rare occasions when we thought we got to bring the whole clan,” Reynolds told Extra. “I’d regret it in 20 years if I didn’t.”

These pictures mark the first time EVER in which Lively, Reynolds and their two children have been spotted in public together.

During the ceremony itself, Reynolds thanked Lively, referring to her as “everything to me” and adding:

You are the best thing, the best thing that has ever happened to me – second only to this star…

“You make everything better, absolutely everything in my life better. You’ve made me the father of my dreams when I thought I only had fun uncle potential.”

Only Ryan Reynolds can pull off sweet and funny like this at the same time.

After Reynolds made his beautiful and hilarious speech, he posed for photos alone before Lively, James and their youngest joined him on the red carpet.

Back in early November, Reynolds told Conan O’Brien that having two children under the age of two is “tough.”

And both are girls, no less!

“A lot of estrogen,” he joked at the time. “It’s like an American Girl doll took a sh-t on my life.”

There’s an image we may never be able to unsee.

Lively and Reynolds may be private with their offspring, but they are public with their affection for each other.

After the actor’s aforementioned talk show appearance last month, Lively thanked him on Instagram for bringing her a special dessert, adding the hashtag:

#IfYoureaBirdImaBird.

That’s a reference to The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks, only the most romantic book and then the most romantic movie of all-time.

And it seems very appropriate for these two.

Finally, just in case you aren’t yet sick of our love for Reynolds, check out the following collection of his Tweets regarding fatherhood.

This may just be the perfect human being…

Ryan Reynolds Reveals Details About Second Child with Blake Lively!

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively welcomed their second child into the world at a New York hospital in September, and that is literally all we know about the kid.

Or, well, it was all we knew.

Yeah, go ahead and get psyched, because Ryan made an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s show last night, and he let a few things slip about the baby.

For instance, it’s a girl!

Ryan was telling Conan about the struggles that come with having two very small children, and he said “Two under two is tough.”

“Yeah, a lot of estrogen,” he joked. “It’s like an American Girl doll took a sh-t on my life.”

Everyone loves a good Ryan Reynolds dad joke, right?

And this one is actually the second one he’s made that’s gotten people talking about the new baby.

A couple of weeks ago, Ryan tweeted “The mobile above my daughter’s crib is just a whole bunch of NuvaRings. So she remembers how lucky she is.”

Many people assumed that he was confirming that he and Blake had a second daughter, but you have to remember that their first daughter, James, is definitely young enough to still be sleeping in a crib.

So in reality, Ryan’s statement to Conan was the first official confirmation of the baby’s gender.

And Blake was pissed.

She’s notoriously private about her kids, and usually so is Ryan, but he obviously slipped up last night.

And, according to Blake, he really knew it.

She made a post on Instagram last night after the show, writing “the ways I know that @vancityreynolds got himself into huge trouble on @teamcoco tonight: not only did he come home with my true love, @levain_bakery cookies, but he personally toasted them for me and brought me a cup of milk WITH ICE.”

“Literal brownie points,” she added, finishing with the adorable hashtag “If you’re a bird, I’m a bird.”

Can these two possibly get any cuter?

Of course they can’t.
