Taylor Swift Breakup Songs: Who Has She Targeted?

Taylor Swift has this thing, don"t know if you knew about it, where she dates these famous men, and then after they break up, she writes these scandalous songs about them.

She even leaves little clues about the subjects of her songs in the liner notes of her albums, so not only does she trash these guys, she also makes it into a game we can all play together!

Many of her songs are about celebrities, guys like Jake Gyllenhaal, Harry Styles, and John Mayer.

But which song matches which ex?!

Read on to find out!

1. "Should’ve Said No"

Shouldve said no

This song was on Taylor’s self-titled debut, back when she was dating fellow high school students instead of celebrities. It was written about her then-boyfriend, Sam Armstrong, who cheated on her.

2. "Picture to Burn"

Picture to burn

This is about another high school boyfriend, Jordan Alford, who reportedly dumped Taylor for one of her best friends. Bad move, Jordan.

3. "Our Song"

Our song

This is one of Taylor’s few happy love songs, and it’s about yet another high school boyfriend, Brandon Borello. Legend has it that she first performed this song at her school’s talent show.

4. "Tim McGraw"

Tim mcgraw

This is another song about Brandon Borello, and it’s pretty bittersweet. Taylor and Brandon ended up breaking up after he went off to college, so when she sings lines like “He said the way my blue eyes shined ‘ Put those Georgia stars to shame that night / I said, ‘That’s a lie,"” you know she means it.

5. "Teardrops on My Guitar"

Teardrops on my guitar

This tragic little ditty is about Drew Hardwick, a guy from high school who Taylor never dated but was super into. She was so into him that she even put his name directly into this song. Four times.

6. "Fifteen"

Fifteen

This is from Taylor’s second album, Fearless, but you’ll never believe who it’s about — yep, good ol’ Brandon Borello. What a heartbreaker he was, huh?

Gwen Stefani: Real Men Write Sappy Love Songs!

She did find love after divorce, but it wasn’t easy.

Gwen Stefani got candid about the story behind her new duet with boyfriend Blake Shelton, admitting that she came from a dark place while writing the lyrics.

The couple performed “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” on The Voice, then a few days later at an iHeartRadio concert in LA, and though they look totally in love on stage, it took awhile to get there.

“The story is that he [Shelton] had written this song and sent it to me on my phone,” Stefani told friend Chelsea Handler on her new Netflix talk Show.

“He’s like ‘I wrote this song’ and I was like ‘Whoa what if I don’t like it, huge turn off!’

“I listened to it and thought ‘Oh my god I love this,"” she told Handler.

“He said ‘Write the rest of it."”

Stefani ended up completing the song, but said that if this were a short time ago, she wouldn’t have been able to get creative.

“There was a time when I was really insecure about writing.

“There was such a drought of time when I was so insecure,” Stefani admitted.

“I think when you have a really long year you start to compete with your own self and get insecure about I did that but how did I do that?

Shelton had similar fears, telling People “about some serious insecurities that we had when we first started down this road with each other.

“We both had trust issues. We were getting over it, but we wrote this song about it, and it’s perfect.”

There’s a rumor going around the Shelton and Stefani plan to announce an engagement on The Voice.

I’m about 99% certain the tabloids made that story up because A) it’s been a slow news week B) They’ve been wrong about engagement/pregnancy news for so long, that at some point, they will be right.

16 Songs About Revenge That Held Nothing Back

Beyonce may have broken the entire Internet and solar system with the release of "Lemonade," but let"s be honest:

This wasn"t the first song about revenge to ever strike it big.

Yes, it seems very likely that Beyonce was directing a lot of wrath at Jay Z for cheating on her (with Rachel Roy?)… but plenty of other artists have also used their music to enact a bit of revenge against an ex-lover or current significant other.

Here are a bunch of memorable examples:

1. Beyoce, "Lemonade"

Beyoce lemonade

This one was covered in the introduction. We’re just including the entire album here.

2. Alanis Morissette, "You Oughta Know"

Alanis morissette you oughta know

Well… will she go down on you in a theater, Dave Coulier? Yes, Alanis supposedly sang this angry song about her Full House star of an ex-boyfriend.

3. Justin Timberlake, "Cry Me a River"

Justin timberlake cry me a river

Did Britney Spears cheat on Justin Timberlake? The latter makes his thoughts on that clear with this ballad.

4. Eamon, "F–k It (I Don’t Want You Back"

Eamon f k it i dont want you back

Pretty sure the title speaks for itself here. Eamon never named the ex-girlfriend about whom it was written.

5. Taylor Swift, "Bad Blood"

Taylor swift bad blood

Swift made it very clear this song was NOT about an ex-boyfriend. It’s clearly about Katy Perry instead and their lost friendship.

6. Ciara, "I Bet"

Ciara i bet

Ciara has admitted that the entire album “Jackie” was inspired by her relationship with Future, the father of her child, their very messy public split.

Smokey Robinson -- I Want Justin Bieber to Cover ALL My Songs!!! (VIDEO)

Z STAFF

EXCLUSIVE

Smokey Robinson, one of the most legendary singer/songwriters in the history of music, wants Justin Bieber to cover not just one, or 2 … but ALL of the songs he’s ever written or recorded.  And guess what … we’ve learned Justin just might be down with it.

We got the Motown legend at the Ivy Monday, after having lunch with Poo Bear, who wrote and produced Bieber’s new hit, “What Do You Mean?”

It’s genius for Bieber to cover Smokey … “Shop Around,” “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me,” “The Tracks of My Tears,” “Going to a Go-Go,” “I Second that Emotion,” “Baby Baby, Don’t Cry,” “The Tears of a Clown,” “”Cruisin"”, “Being with You” … and don’t forget Smokey wrote “My Girl.”

Now get this … a source VERY close to Bieber tells us, “Justin would be honored to work with Smokey and he’s a huge fan of his music.”

We’re in.

Dave Grohl -- Foo Fighters Emmy Diss ... You Can"t Cut Our Songs Short

Z STAFF

EXCLUSIVE

0921-dave-grohl-emmys-tmz-01Now we know why Dave Grohl was so pissed about the Foo Fighters getting yanked from the Emmy Awards stage — and it’s all about size. Yes, it matters … especially at award shows.

A rep for Grohl tells TMZ … the band was all set to perform, and would have been the first ever rock band to play the Emmys. But the rep says, “FOX then refused to allow the band to play a full song from the Emmy-winning Sonic Highways.”

According to our sources, the network wanted the band to play half of their winning song and then play part of their hit song “Learn to Fly” … but the band wasn’t having it.

We’re told the directive came straight from the network and not the television academy, who was on board with the band’s plan to play what they wanted to.

FF won 2 Emmys for its HBO docuseries, but you can tell from his reaction last night … Dave wanted to play, but obviously … he wanted it his way.

We have a call in to FOX and the Emmys for their side of the story.
