Britney Spears Stuns with Raw Vocals, Covers "Something to Talk About" Live!

Over the weekend, did you notice some folks on Twitter talking about how 2017 had been saved? Or at least just tweeting excitedly about Britney Spears?

No, Britney didn"t drop a new album — but she did wow crowds and blow minds with her raw vocals on stage, covering Bonnie Raitt"s "(Let"s Give Them) Something to Talk About." Because she"s Britney and she"s amazing.

And we of course have the video for you below. We"re not monsters.

We"ve heard Britney"s raw vocals for "Toxic" before, but we"re always here for Britney"s amazing voice.

Before Britney sings the cover, however, she addresses her adoring audience.

Microphone in hand instead of wearing a headset, she speaks:

"The press and the media my whole life, because one minute they tear you down, they"re really horrible, and the next minute, you"re on top of the world."

Unfortunately, highs and lows like that that sometime describes life.

But it sucks to be described that way, as a celebrity.

Especially as a celebrity who became famous as a teen minor.

Rumors have long accused her of lipsyncing everything.

Britney quashed the lipsyncing rumors, pretty aggressively, this summer.

Britney has also long battled boob job rumors, though expert surgeons have agreed that she looks very natural.

(Sometimes, outfits are just really flattering to your boobs, folks)

"But, I"ve never really spoke about, you know?"

She"s absolutely communicated about it.

(Like, the song "Piece of Me" was very blatantly about her and her relationship with critics and the tabloid press, folks)

If you"re expecting Britney to go on a rant about unfair coverage … that"s not really her style.

She"s totally just segueing into her song.

Which she"s about to make abundantly clear.

"I"m a Southern girl, I"m from Louisiana. I"m from the South, and I like to keep it real."

A lot of people forget Britney"s roots. But this is just more segue.

"And I just want to make sure I keep having you mother f–kers something to talk about, OK?"

To be clear, she"s not insulting her audience, who cheers basically every moment when she isn"t talking or singing.

She"s not even really insulting people who write about her.

This is just an introduction to her cover of Blues musician Bonnie Raitt"s "Something to Talk About."

Essentially, this was just a longer version of saying "This is a story about a girl named Lucky."

To be clear, though, Britney has absolutely given us all something to talk about.

Her raw vocals are totally on point.

Personally, we prefer Britney"s original music — from "Crazy" to "Womanizer" to "Make Me," Britney"s been wowing us for longer than some of her younger fans have been alive.

(Feel old, yet?)

Anyway, here"s the video, so please enjoy:

Britney Spears: Raw Vocals for "Toxic" LEAKED!

Have you needed a reminder that Britney Spears is and always will be supreme.

We kid — no one could forget.

But here"s one any way, in the form of a recently leaked recording of "Toxic" … of her raw, pre-autotuned voice.

Britney spears is toxic

Britney has produces so many phenomenal songs that they are intensely difficult to rank.

"Toxic" is absolutely legendary.

We don"t know how to rank it, musically, because comparing Britney"s greatest hits is a little like choosing a favorite child.

Except actually difficult instead of just being something that you"re not supposed to do.

Do you go with the thinly veiled autobiographical ballad of "Lucky," or the unstoppable powerhouse of "… One More Time."

"Crazy" spawned a whole movie of the same name. "If You Seek Amy" was a hit and also had Megyn Kelly up in arms.

"Womanizer" was a tremendous comeback hit after Britney bravely suffered for the world"s transgressions had a breakdown.

But then there"s "Toxic." You can"t talk about Britney without talking about that track.

Admittedly, a huge part of its cultural impact comes from its music video — arguably Britney"s best and perhaps even most iconic.

"Toxic" has inspired a dance in World of Warcraft and countless affectionate parodies.

Honestly, it would make a great inspiration for a film.

Britney spears is supreme

Autotune can be controversial, with some listeners decrying it and the stars who use it as "fake."

Others describe it as just another tool to tweak the music before a song is released.

We generally tend to side with the latter, because technology has made music even better in recent decades than it has ever been.

But there"s something to be said for powerful raw vocals.

Like, you can appreciate a finished product but also be floored by someone"s unfiltered, unedited singing voice.

Britney"s been accused of being "fake" for lipsyncing her performances — which is all kinds of dumb.

She"s one of the world"s greatest performers, pulling off grueling and iconic dance routines.

Whatever she needs to do to put on the greatest shows on the planet is worth it, and doesn"t make her any less of an artist.

And autotune is an expected part of the business. No singer should be begrudged for using it.

It"s no secret that Britney"s had some rough times in the past, but now she"s living her best life.

And we don"t just mean her dreamy boyfriend, though obviously he"s part of that.

She"s also being a fantastic mother to her two sons.

Britney also seems to be genuinely happy and content in her life, a welcome change from her years as a troubled younger star.

And it"s worth mentioning that she"s still, just, all kinds of hot.

Are you ready to listen to Britney"s unfiltered voice singing "Toxic?"

You probably aren"t.

We sure weren"t prepared.

Raw us, Britney.

Young Girls Shocks Judges With Amazing Vocals on America"s Got Talent

America"s Got Talent prides itself in bringing us the best talent from all over the United States of America.

While some people are getting tired of singing competitions, the ratings juggernaut has a good track record with singers.

The latest shocker comes in the form of a 9-year-old girl from Atlanta, Georgia who aspires to be just like Whitney Houston.

Her name is Angelica Hale, and she was surprisingly not shy about chatting with the judges before her performance.

"I"m nine-years-old, and I just found out that I"m going to be a big sister," she said to the crowd with a grin on her face.

The young girl then went on to chat about how happy she was to be on the show.

"I"m so happy to be here, because, like, I"ve been watching your show on Youtube and now I feel, like, like I"m in it!"

The judges and audience seemed taken with the young girl"s confidence, but nothing could prepare them for the performance the youngster was about to put on for them.

Simply put, it was breathtaking.

She performed Andra Day"s "Rise Up." The vocals were there. Something tells us the kid is going to get her wish and be a superstar one day.

Simon looked away at the beginning of the performance, as though he was waiting for the child to not hit the huge notes of the song.

His facial expression changed dramatically as her voice rose throughout. He was probably sizing her up for a recording contract.

Hey, Simon is one of the best people in the biz. He has a wealth of hit artists under his label.

Have a look at the full video below and hit the comments with your thoughts on it!
