breaking news

0911-trump-nbc-universe-tmz-01Donald Trump has settled his legal disputes with NBCUniversal and Univision by using his best resource … money, money, money.

The Donald just announced he bought out NBC’s half share of the Miss Universe Organization … making him 100% owner.

Trump threatened NBC with a lawsuit after they yanked the Miss USA pageant off the air, following his remarks about Mexicans. Miss USA is a part of the Miss Universe Org. He sued Univision for $ 500 million, which also pulled the plug on the pageant.

Donald Trump … now king of the Universe.

EXCLUSIVE

The Floyd Mayweather/Andre Berto fight is getting a little taste of the Fugees … rapper Wyclef Jean will perform the Haitian national anthem before the fighters throw down.

According to our sources, Berto (whose parents emigrated from Haiti) had his camp reach out to Wyclef’s people, asking him perform “La Dessalinienne” at the big fight this weekend.

We’re told Clef is on his way to Vegas.

No word yet on what big star will be performing “The Star-Spangled Banner,” but we know Britney Spears is in town …

Get Ready For A Whitney Houston Hologram In 2016 — We"ve Got The Deets On What You Can Expect To See!

Are celebrity memorial holograms weird or cool??

Whether you’re ready or not, there will be a Whitney Houston hologram coming to a venue near you on a future worldwide tour, thanks to billionaire Alki David and his companies Hologram USA and FilmOn Studios.

With the permission of Houston’s estate, FilmOn has created a hologram version of the late singer, allowing fans who have never seen her to get a glimpse of what Whitney was like on stage — and allowing those who have watched her perform to see Houston one more time, if only via technology.

David said of Houston and his company’s decision to produce the hologram:

“I was heartbroken when Whitney passed away in 2012. The opportunity to help share her spectacular gifts with the world again is exactly what I hoped for when I built the hologram business. We’ve got technology that’s causing a seismic shift in the entertainment industry, and a wonderful partnership withPat Houston and the estate. I’m confident we’ll create the ultimate celebration of Whitney’s amazing artistry.”

The estate is on board with this — or more specifically, Pat Houston is on board with this, and she had this to say about the upcoming hologram:

“It’s a great opportunity for her fans to see a reinvention of one the most celebrated female artists in history and to continue a legacy of performances that will not be forgotten in years to come. I look forward to the partnership.”

Well OK then!

What do U guys think — do holograms go too far in preserving somebody who should be left only in memories and on video?! Or is it a cool piece of technology that allows you to reconnect with the past??
