Kate Winslet Opens Up About Both Her Divorces — "F*ck Me, It Hasn"t Been Easy"

After the smashing success of Titanic in 1997, Kate Winslet quickly realized it was going to be difficult to keep her personal life private.

The world watched as she met her first husband, director Jim Threapleton, on the set of Hideously Kinky, and then as they got married in 1998.

But after three years and one child together, the two called it quits. The actress admitted in WSJ Magazine that, while she was able to keep the details under wraps, all the tabloid attention took its toll:

“No one teaches you, and also no one particularly helps you. It’s a very specific thing to ask people to understand. ‘So-and-so was mean about me in the newspaper.’ ‘Oh, just ignore it.’ But you can’t, because it’s not true.”

It wasn’t too long after her first marriage that she fell for another director, Sam Mendes. After they tied the knot, they also had a kid.

This relationship lasted a solid seven years before the two decided to split. The English beauty vented about the frustration of going through multiple marriages, especially with the media hounding her:

“I know lots of people who are not in the public eye who have gone through several marriages, I really do, and it’s just those are the cards that life dealt me. I didn’t plan on its being that way. And f*ck me, it hasn’t been easy, you know.”

But even though it was difficult to prevent all her divorce drama from leaking, Kate commends herself for successfully keeping her secrets, well, secret:

“No one really knows what has happened in my life. No one really knows why my first marriage didn’t last; no one knows why my second didn’t. And I’m proud of those silences.”

But she hasn’t been hiding the love she has for her current husband, Ned Rocknroll, saying:

“Thank God for Ned—really. He’s just so incredibly supportive, and he’s so much fun. He’s absolutely everything to me. And to all of us.”

We’re glad that the star seems happy now. Sometimes it takes a couple tries to really get it right!

Journalist Gets Hit By Car on Live Television

A few days ago, we posted coverage of a female journalist getting sexual harassed while reporting on sexual harassment.

Pretty crazy, huh? Nearly as crazy as this:

The video featured here depicts a Fox Sports anchor in Mexico speaking live via satellite with reporter David Medrano Mora.

We"re not sure what the two are talking about, exactly, but we"re pretty darn positive that Mora gets hit by a car during the broadcast.

The vehicle doesn"t seem to be moving very quickly, and we"ve been told that Mora did not suffer any major injuries… but still.

It"s safe to say this isn"t something one expects to see while watching television. Check it out for yourself.

Dan Marino -- When In London ... Play Catch With Prince Harry!

Z STAFF

breaking news

0930-dan-marino-prince-harry-gettyDan Marino found a brand new wide receiver in London today … Prince Harry of Wales … who fired around the pigskin with the NFL legend during a charity event in the U.K.

Marino is across the pond with the Miami Dolphins … who play the NY Jets at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

But before the game, he hooked up with Prince Harry to participate in an event called Walking with the Wounded’s Walk of Britain — where injured military veterans walk 1,000 miles in 72 days to raise money and awareness to soldiers injured during their service.

During the walk, the two stars found time to play catch — and we gotta say, Harry’s form didn’t look too bad for a guy who’s never strapped on the pads.

Side note — nice beard Harry … but you’re no Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Parents Lose Son, Return Home to Find THIS

The following story is worth telling, even though it will break your heart.

In the video featured here, we learn about Leland Shoemake, a six-year old in Georgia who tragically died last Friday after a month-long battle with a brain infection.

According to Leland"s mom, she and her husband returned home soon after saying goodbye to their son, only to be blown away by what they found.

"When Tim and I came home for the first time to get him clothes to be buried in, this is the note we found from him on the table in the living room," she wrote.

As you can see in this news report, the note reads “Still with you. Thank you mom and dad. Love."

"We have no idea when he wrote it but you can tell he was always a special child," concluded Leland"s mom. "We will love you forever Leland. Sleep tight and don"t let the bed bugs bite!"

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Shoemake family, but hopefully Mom and Dad can find some comfort in the knowledge that they raised an amazing child.
