Amy Schumer Claims to Love the Kardashians

Not everyone was amused by Amy Schumer as host of Saturday Night Live last weekend.

The comedian opened the show with a monologue that took aim at the Kardashians, at one point telling viewers at home and in the audience:

“We used to have Khloé. Khloé was ours, right? Whenever there’s a group of women, you identify with one of them, right?

“Khloé, she lost half her body weight. She lost a Kendall, and we have nothing.”

While the joke seems relatively harmless, and while Khloe herself has taken public pride in her weight loss, some have accused Schumer of body-shaming the star.

Kardashian herself certainly seemed to take exception to the quip, writing on Twitter a day after it aired:

“No need 2 tear down others just 2 make urself feel bigger. It actually makes u quite small. I’m on a healthy journey. I don’t care 4the hate.”

So… with the ball back in Schumer’s court, the Trainwreck star made no secret on Instagram today that she was addressing Khloe and all the Kardashians, penning in response:

“Nothing but love for that family. I like idea of sending women the message to be happy in their own skin. #peace.”

Did anyone else notice that? A semi-apology, but also a semi-slam?

After all, Schumer is right. The message should be for everyone to be happy in their own skin, shouldn’t it?

So then why are Khloe and her sisters telling fans to go waist train in order to lose weight?

Donald Trump to Host Saturday Night Live, Feign Sense of Humor

If you like toupee jokes and pursed-lipped statements of intellectual superiority, then you’re in luck!

NBC announced today that presidential candidate and long-lost, Upper East Side cousin of Yosemite Sam, Donald Trump will be hosting Saturday Night Live on November 7.

The show has had a lot of fun with the Donald in the past, most recently when Hillary Clinton did her best Trump impression during a guest spot in the season premiere.

So in a way, it makes sense that Trump would take an “if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em” approach to the iconic sketch show, but it’s a risky move for a candidate that many already have trouble taking seriously.

Of course, this won’t be the real estate mogul and former reality TV star’s first trip to Studio 8H.

Trump hosted the show back in 2004, when The Apprentice was just beginning its run on NBC.

While it remains unclear if Trump’s poll numbers will benefit from the hosting gig, there’s no doubt that the move will pay off big time for Lorne Michaels and the folks at SNL.

Trump has proven to be a major ratings magnet at the GOP primary debates and even for struggling political talk shows like Meet the Press.

Of course, there’s still a few weeks before Trump takes the stage, so don’t be surprised if the show rubs him the wrong way and he has a change of heart. We hear he’s got a bit of a temper.

New Yorkers Have No Idea Who Chris Pratt Is

Chris Pratt starred on Parks and Recreation for seven years.

He then went on to anchor two of the highest-grossing movies of the last decade, Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World. There"s talk he may take over for Harrison Ford in an upcoming Hans Solo film.

And yet… many people in New York City have no idea who he is.

In this hilarious clip from Billy on the Street, comedian Billy Eichner sprints around and quizzes pedestrians about the identity of the man along his side.

He even offers some $ 1 if they can simply say his name.

But very few can do so. Sorry, Chris. You apparently have a long way to go until you can be identified, yet alone objectified by Hollywood.

Aunt Sues Nephew For $127K; Alleges Broken Wrist From Hug

Here"s a crazy story of a nephew and his aunt who are embroiled in a family feud in which they can do just about anything but "hug it out."

A human resources manager from Manhattan"s Upper East Side is suing her nephew, 12, after he allegedly broke her wrist via a hug.

Honestly.

Jennifer Connell, 54, believes little Sean Tarala, now 12, should have known better than to jump into her arms as a means of welcoming her.

Even more incredible? This enthusiastic welcome came after she showed up at his birthday party in 2011, making him eight years old at the time.

Sean was outside playing with a brand new bike when he saw his aunt arrived and ran to greet her, shouting, “Auntie Jen, Auntie Jen!”

The "victim" testified, according to media reports: “I remember him shouting, ‘Auntie Jen I love you,’ and there he was flying at me.”

“All of a sudden he was there in the air," she went on, recounting the horror. "I had to catch him and we tumbled onto the ground.”

Connell is seeking $ 127,000 in damages for suffering a broken wrist when the two fell to the ground in the aftermath of the hug/assault.

The aunt, who has no children of her own, said her life has not been the same since the 50-pound child came at her recklessly that day.

“I live in Manhattan in a third-floor walkup so it has been very difficult,” Connell testified. “And we all know how crowded it is in Manhattan.”

Not to mention the social impact of this injury. “I was at a party recently and it was difficult to hold my hors d’oeuvres plate,” she added.

Connell concedes that young Sean has always been a “very loving, sensitive" boy toward her, but she still feels he"s gotta pay for this.

“The injuries, losses and harms to the plaintiff were caused by the negligence and carelessness of the minor defendant," her lawsuit claims.

Honestly.
