Val Kilmer: Hospitalized, Reportedly Near Death

Back in January, actor Val Kilmer was rushed to a hospital after a tumor in his throat caused severe bleeding.

Now, Radar Online is reporting that Kilmer has been hospitalized once again, and this time his condition appears to be even more dire.

A source tells the website that the 55-year-old screen legend – best known for his roles in films like Top Gun and Tombstone – has been admitted to a Los Angeles-area ICU under the name “Oscar Davis.”

Kilmer is reportedly unable to speak. One witness says he overheard medics discussing “comfort care” – a term often used as a euphemism for hospice treatment for terminally ill patients.

Kilmer has rapidly lost weight in recent months and has taken to wearing tightly-wrapped scarves year-round in order to conceal his tumor.

It’s been rumored that Kilmer initially refused traditional medical treatment in compliance with his beliefs as a Christian Scientist.

Following his January hospitalization, Kilmer wrote on his Facebook page, ‘Again, no tumor, no surgery…will stay close to my doctors advising, my family and Christian Science practitioner when all the facts are in.”

Reps for Kilmer have refused to comment on his current condition. We’ll keep you updates as more information becomes available.

Scandal Season 5 Episode 5 Recap: Hail to the Chief (of Staff)

You didn’t really think Cyrus Beene would be kept down for very long, did you?

By the end of Scandal Season 5 Episode 5, our favorite duplicitous White House administration member was right back where he believes he belongs: in the driver’s seat.

We opened this dramatic hour with the staff wondering what defines an “impeachable offense,” and Fitz certainly thinking that a date with his mistress does not quality.

But David reminds the President that Congress has all the power here and he could use the help of a top-notch attorney.

Enter Patty Snell, who asks for “trucks full of files” to distract Congress and who means serious business.

Olivia also needs assistance, turning to Leo Bergen while she’s banned from talking to Fitz. He suggests spinning her affair with the Commander-in-Chief into a fairy tale romance.

From there, the Gladiators worked to rehab their boss’ image, hoping to turn her into a human being… as opposed to a “man-eating, husband-stealing” vixen.

So Olivia sucks it up and visits ex-flame Senator Edison Davis. He agrees to go along with her story as long as she admits she never loves him. She does so and he follow through with his part of the deal, accusing he media of racism and sexism.

This does the trick (and makes Cyrus very happy), until the press finds the diamond ring Fitz for for Olivia. (Courtesy of Mellie, as you probably guessed.)

As for Jake? Olivia stops by his place and meets his “old friend,” Elise. (He later admits she’s his wife).

He warns Olivia about being “tied to the White House forever” if she keeps pushing the love story angle and Olivia considers these words.

But she then faces the press and, through tears, asks people not to “ask me to fall out of love with Fitzgerald Grant.”

Marcus, meanwhile, as threatened by Senators Allen and Moskowitz to spy on Olivia or else they’ll go after him and his brother. But Marcus works the politicians and eventually the Gladiators learn that the committee knows about West Angola.

They know that Fitz was willing to go to war for the sake of his mistress. Now THAT is an impeachable offense.

And Fitz knows that Cyrus would sell him out in a heartbeat. So he calls him to the White House and he’s forced to give in to all of his demands:

Cyrus wants to be Chief of Staff again… he wants a Presidential pardon… and he wants Elizabeth fired.

Where will all this go on Scandal Season 5 Episode 6?

How to Get Away with Murder Season 2 Episode 5 Recap: Oh, Asher...

Sit back. Get comfortable. And maybe put a pot of coffee on.

Because there’s a whole lot of crazy awesomeness went down on How to Get Away with Murder Season 2 Episode 5

We opened with a flash forward to three weeks from now and a look at Bonnie at the Hapstall mansion, sprinting past Sinclair’s dead body and promising that it’s “almost over,” just as she gets into the car alongside…

… Asher?!?!?

So much for his clear innocence, huh?

We then cut to present day and see Bonnie making up a story about attempted rape by Sam to explain why she killed him.

This tale is backed up by Annalise, but certainly not by Asher, who at first tells Sinclair he knows the identity of Sam’s killer.

But then he flees the courthouse after realizing the big picture; i.e. that his father cut his own deal to avoid prosecution for judicial malfeasance.

Cut to dual bar scenes involving Asher, the first of which finds Sinclair trying to convince him that it’s never cool to kill people… and the second of which finds Bonnie telling Asher she loves him, through tears, no less.

Enter Annalise, who comes to the rescue by playing an old police-evidence videotape for Asher that depicts a grade-school age Bonnie being sexually abused by her own dad.

That does the gross trick. It leaves Asher crying.

Back to the flash forward: Asher pulls over so Bonnie can urinate, only for viewers to see her washing blood off her arms and possibly get rid of evidence that links her to one or both of the crimes from that night.

But when she returns to the car, Asher has left to make a statement to the local police.

The Keating Four, meanwhile, spent all week fearing that Asher has to know what they did to Sam.

Wes, however, is on his own mission into Rebecca’s disappearance… one that unfortunately ends with Annalise’s right hand man planting meth in Levi’s trunk, prompting the police to cart him off

So much for Michaela’s first-ever orgasm, huh? Tough break.

Following this arrest, Michaela, Laurel, Connor and Wes visit the storage locker Frank badly wants them to find, discovering there a suitcase that doesn’t contain Rebecca’s body.

What does it contain? What looks like 20-dollar bills totaling at least $ 1 million.

What will possibly be done with this cold, hard cash on How to Get Away with Murder Season 2 Episode 6?!?

Finally, Annalise and Nate have it out, with Nate telling her that Wes thinks she killed Rebecca and Annalise admitting to Nate:

“I hate what I did to you. I hate it. I hate myself. And I know you hate me, too.”

What will Annalise if he ends up going down for Sam’s murder? She can’t exactly tell him that Bonnie is guilty of taking Sam out.

Meanwhile, Laurel and Frank get it on in Annalise’s basement, while Connor tells Oliver he loves him.

Any chance Oliver does not end up in jail before long?!?
