Caitlyn Jenner to The Advocate: I"ve Got A Lot to Learn

Caitlyn Jenner opens way up as the cover subject of the February/March issue of The Advocate.

In the magazine’s lead interview, the transgender star says she knew she was doing the “right thing” by coming out as a woman… but that didn’t mean she didn’t have certain worries.

“I’m so happy that the response has been good, I was afraid I would really lose something in my life,” she explains.

“But my main concern was really only my kids. I don’t want to do anything to embarrass them.”

Jenner, of course, revealed herself to be Caitlyn Jenner on the cover of Vanity Fair last spring and she’s been met with mostly universal praise ever since.

But she’s had her occasional misstep, apologizing recently for the implication that her appearance is the most important thing.

“There’s more to being a woman than hair and makeup,” she tells The Advocate.

“I’ve been trying to study up on it. My publicists’ assistant told me to read this book [How to Be a Woman by Caitlin Moran]. It’s actually very good and very funny. What I realized, when going through this book, is how my experience is so different than what a normal woman’s would be growing up – that’s obvious.

“The second chapter was about having your period. OK? I will never deal with that.

“So there is so much in life that I need to learn about who I am and be authentic with myself. But I never want to assume that this whole thing called womanhood, that I could ever experience all of that.

“I will be able to live authentically as female, but I’ve missed so much.”

This doesn’t mean that Jenner ignores her appearance entirely, of course.

The Most Fascinating Person of 2015, according to Barbara Walters, says Kim Kardashian has given her helpful advice in this regard.

“Kimberly says, ‘If you do go out, you’ve got to rock it, baby!’ You cannot let [the paparazzi] get that picture. They’ll take a picture of you with no makeup on, lousy outfit – and they’ll use it forever.

“You’ll never get rid of it. Kim’s very good at that stuff. It does take a little bit more work if you do go out.

‘You’ve got to at least look good, at least the best you can. But there’s more to life and womanhood than just that. And those are things I’m learning; I’m trying to read up on it. I’m trying to understand it because it’s all new to me.”

Johnny Depp: Drunk and Disoriented at Film Fest Appearance?

Rumors of Johnny Depp getting drunk (or drunker than usual) before public appearances have been circulating for months now, and the pics of Depp at last weekend’s Palm Springs International Film Festival are unlikely to quash the speculation:

“He was very friendly but almost unrecognizable!” one onlooker told Radar Online. “He looked to have put on a good 30 pounds at least.”

“His hair was a greasy mess, and his teeth were yellowed too. It was pretty shocking. He looked more like Marlon Brando than Johnny Depp!”

Apparently, it wasn’t just Depp’s appearance that had attendees worried, as the 52-year-old’s behavior was strange even by the lofty standards he’s set throughout his career.

Sources say Depp careened from table to table making small talk throughout the evening, but had little to say when he took the stage to accept an award.

“During the dinner, he went over to Christian Bale’s table and squatted on the floor talking to him,” said one witness, who adds that the actor wasn’t nearly so chatty during his acceptance speech:

“He kind of mumbled, ‘How was the beef?’ He seemed really confused and rambling and then just ended abruptly by saying ‘It’s over with, that’s it,’ before just walking off. People were kind of looking at each other like, ‘What just happened?’ It was bizarre.”

Rumors that Depp’s drinking is getting out of hand began when the actor gave a clearly inebriated speech at last year’s Hollywood Film Awards

Since then, there have been reports of Depp’s drinking is driving Amber Heard away after less than a year of marriage.

We doubt that, as she usually looks pretty happy by his side on the red carpet…and we kinda doubt that she’s that good an actress

Plus, we imagine the woman knew what she was getting into when she exchanged vows with a wobbly Captain Jack on a remote island in the Pacific.

Depp’s latest appearances are part of his awards season push for Black Mass, which despite its title, is not a documentary about Johnny’s liver.

Jill Duggar Comes Under Fire For Photo of Baby Israel

It’s been a tough week for Jill Duggar on social media

Yesterday, a photo of her family that Jill posted to Instagram had fans wondering about Derick Dillard’s health. Today, an innocent photo of her son, Israel, has dozens castigating Jill as a negligent mother.

As you can see, the controversial photo shows Israel sitting on a blanket in front of a pile of Christmas presents – and an open electrical outlet.

Yes, the outlet in the pic isn’t baby-proofed with plastic plug-style covers, and many Duggar fans (and haters) have taken to calling Jill and Derick out on their IG pages.

Many have also wondered about the mark on Israel’s eye, which could be a bruise or simply a shadow. Jill and Derick have yet to offer an explanation.

Regardless of your feelings on whether or not little Israel is soon to zap himself into the Promised Land, the debate that’s currently raging on Derick’s IG page is highly entertaining:

“Look out for that electrical outlet, neglectful parents,” wrote one follower.

“People today want children to be bubble wrapped. It’s pathetic,” another countered.

We’d give more examples, but the comments on the photo feature plenty of language the Duggars wouldn’t approve of, because what’s the point of expressing your views if you’re not using all-caps and F-bombs aplenty?

The point is, some folks think Jill and Derick should be under investigation by CPS, while others continue to believe they can do no wrong.

Watch Jill & Jessa: Counting On online to decide for yourself if Jill is the best or worst mother on the planet.

There’s probably some middle ground in the debate, but why keep a level head when you take an EXTREME stance?
