Anna Kendrick: I Want to Bang the Entire Cast of Grease Live!

We already knew Anna Kendrick is awesome, and we figured Grease: Live would be pretty cool, but we had no idea how fabulous the combination of those two things could be.

No, Kendrick didn’t take the stage to hand-jive with the rest of the cast (except in our dreams), but she did live-tweet the entire broadcast, and her critiques are as hilariously NSFW as you could hope.

Kendrick’s live tweets are always a joy, but she was particularly on point last night. Some highlights:

  • “This is the role @juliannehough’s ass was born to play #GreaseLive”

  • “This is so much fun, it’s almost upsetting. #ColdDeadHeart #GreaseLive”

  • “You’re right Sandy, never having an orgasm IS hard #GreaseLive”

  • “This ‘nerd girl’ is like me in high school. Except hotter and less annoying #GreaseLive”

  • “Yeah… this gorgeous blonde is such a loser… (this high school is weird) #GreaseLive”

  • “I would sleep with literally every member of this cast #GreaseLive”

And of course, Anna capped things off with a sincere shout-out to the entire cast, including Vanessa Hudgens, who lost her father to cancer just hours before the performance.

“Everyone was incredible tonight,” Kendrick tweeted. “Well done @juliannehough @VanessaHudgens @AaronTveit the whole cast and the CREW! #GreaseLive”

Well done, indeed. Check out some of the most show’s most memorable moments in GIF form in the gallery below:

Benoit Violier, Owner of World"s Best Restaurant, Dead of Apparent Suicide

Benoit Violier, considered by many in the food world to be the best chef on the planet, was found dead on Sunday of an apparent suicide.

He was 44 years old.

Violier had been the owner of Restaurant de l’Hotel de Ville since 2012.

A renowned three-star establishment located in the small Swiss village of Crissier, the restaurant was ranked as best in the world in late 2015 by the latest Michelin Guide.

(This gastronomic booklet is the French foreign ministry’s answer to the Britain-based World’s 50 Best Restaurants.)

Not many details regarding Violier’s death have been made public at this time, with Swiss police simply releasing the following statement:

“Late in the afternoon, police… went to Crissier where they discovered at his home the body of Mr Benoit Violier.”

Vionier – who formerly worked for chef Joël Robuchon in Paris – told Swiss newspaper Le Temps recently that he had been deeply affected by the death of his “two fathers” last year.

The chef lost his biological father last April; three months later, his longtime mentor, Philippe Rochat (the chef he succeeded at the Restaurant de l’Hotel de Ville) also passed away.

Authorities are continuing to investigate this passing.

Via statement, Violier’s family has asked for privacy “to be allowed to mourn in peace.”

We send them our condolences.

High School Dodgeball Team Appears to Dress Like KKK Members

This really isn’t very complicated, high school students of America:

Do your best not to spell out really racist words at a class event and never the sport the kind of attire made famous by the country’s most infamous hate group.

KKK?

Unfortunately, seven boys at Mound Westonka High School in Minnesota were unable to abide by this second recommendation last Wednesday, as they donned garb for a dodgeball match that looked an awful lot like the sort of thing worn by members of the Ku Klux Klan.

This may not have been their intention… but just take a look at the shirts and white bandanas being worn in the photos above and below.

Dodgeball team

“I turned around, and the team behind me looked like they came in with a Ku Klux Klan uniform, or an interpretation of it,” senior Ryan Anderson told WCCO, the local CBS affiliate.

“It was something to say the least.”

The event was supervised by teachers and administrators, none of whom took any action during the game.

But the district then received complaints after images were shared on social media.

“Anybody who is well-versed in history can know that anyone with a pointed white hat is trying to symbolize the KKK,” a parent who asked to remain anonymous told KMSP.

“There are not a lot of other organizations that can be confused with.”

We’d have to agree.

The district says that “appropriate action will be taken in accordance with district policy” if its investigation turns up anything worthy of punishment.

For whatever it may be worth, the school’s population is 93 percent white, 3 percent Hispanic, 2 percent African-American and 2 percent Asian, according to The Washington Post.

Chris Brown: Did His Constant Smoking Give Royalty Asthma?!

Back in March of last year, the world was shocked and a little horrified to learn that Chris Brown is a dad.

The shock stemmed from the fact that he’d kept little Royalty a secret for several months. The horror was mainly out of fear that he would do terrible Breezy-esque things like get his daughter sick by constantly smoking weed around her.

At least that’s the allegation being made by Chris’ baby mama, Nia Guzman, who claims that Brown smokes in Royalty’s presence so often that she’s developed asthma.

According to TMZ, Nia made the shocking allegations in recently-filed court papers

Guzman is petitioning the court to restrict Brown’s visitation rights. She’s also requesting that the singer’s child support payments be upped from $ 2,500 to nearly $ 16,000.

She claims that after a period of sobriety, Brown has relapsed and frequently smokes weed and drinks sizzurp while watching his daughter.

Guzman tells the judge that Royalty returns home reeking of smoke after visits with her dad.

Chris (sort of) denied the allegations in an Instagram post that he quickly deleted.

“I quit cigarettes on New Year’s,” Brown wrote. “NO ONE smokes around my daughter.”

He went on to call Guzman’s allegations “obviously a play to get some sort of increased income,” but did not address the drug use allegations.

This is not the first time that Brown’s parenting habis have been called into question.

The controversial performer was criticized for his decision to take Royalty on tour with him last summer.
