Kevin Smith: Smoking Weed Saved My Life!
Back in February, Kevin Smith suffered a heart attack that nearly claimed his life.
Fortunately, the beloved filmmaker pulled through, and these days, he"s up and about, and once again meeting the many demands of his still-thriving media empire.
Smith updated fans on his condition throughout his recovery, noting that he rapidly lost 17 pounds after switching to a mostly plant-based diet.
Yes, the man who created such characters as Bluntman & Chronic and who hosts a web series called Fatman on Batman might not seem like the most likely health guru, but Smith has been to the brink and turned things around.
And while he admits that some of his vices led to the slow deterioration of his health, there"s one indulgence that may have literally saved his life.
Smith appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night, and he shared the tale of receiving some very surprising news from his physician.
It seems Smith was in New York to perform a stand-up set when the attack occurred, and his pre-show herbal relaxation ceremony wound up making the difference between life and death.
"I asked my doctor like after this was all done, I was like, "I hate to ask this question, man, but did I have a heart attack because of the weed? Because I smoked a joint right before the show,"" Smith told the audience.
"No. In fact, quite the opposite," Smith recalled the doctor saying.
"That weed saved your life."
Yes, they"re the words every stoner dreams of hearing.
And we think it"s safe
"He said, you kept calm…they told you [you] were going through stuff and you kept calm the whole time, so that joint saved your life," Smith told said.
"I"m putting that on a T-shirt," the 47-year-old concluded.
We"re guessing that"s one item of merchandise that would prove very popular with Smith"s fans.

Luann de Lesseps: Spotted Smoking Weed Just Months After Drunken Arrest
Remember late last year, when Countess Luann de Lesseps was arrested after kicking a police officer … among other things?
The The Real Housewives of New York City star checked into rehab and released a statement, essentially blaming it all on abusing alcohol.
But now she’s been spotted smoking pot, which is usually frowned upon by recovery programs. Is she backsliding?
Page Six reports that, late Tuesday evening, Countess Luann was spotted puffing on a joint at the Public Hotel.
The time was around 11 pm.
(Yes, we know that she’s no longer a countess, technically. But she’ll always be a countess in our hearts … and in her branding)
Luann was at Public Arts, the hotel’s nightclub, for a Tribeca Film Festival party that was hosted by MCM Worldwide.
She was with her niece, Nicole Nadeau.
A partygoer tells Page Six:
“She took my friend’s blunt and then we gave her niece a cigarette.”
Earlier in the night, before going to a club with someone who turned out to be deeply untrustworthy, Luann shared her activities.
She and Dorinda (yes, of The Real Housewives of New York City; how many Dorinda’s do you know?) attended “The Donna Summer Musical” on Broadway.
(Donna Summer will always be an absolute legend; her music is so uplifting but remembering that she has passed away remains so sad)
It looked like she, Dorinda Medley, and John Mahdessian enjoyed themselves a lot.
That was before the club.
Page Six reached out to Luann’s representative, who said:
“Luann smokes occasionally to help with anxiety and pain from her accident.”
They could answered: “She was at a club” and it would have been a satisfactory answer for most people, even those who don’t particularly care for marijuana.
But this answer was honest … and heartbreaking.
In 1999, Luann was involved in a car accident in Switzerland.
And it’s the same reason that she was struggling and self-medicating with alcohol in 2017.
Luann previously told People about how her PTSD caused her to drink.
“I thought I killed myself and my children.”
That is a horrible thought that clearly haunts her to this day.
“I never really faced that horrific accident, and through that and everything else, my emotions just crept up on me.”
That can happen to anyone.
“And drove me to the point of self-medicating with alcohol.”
A tremendous amount of substance-abuse can be traced to people self-medicating for horrible traumas that they have endured.
Not everyone is very honest about it, however.
Will Luann get in trouble over this? Even with her recent arrest, she shouldn’t have any legal worries.
Not just because no one should get into legal trouble over a naughty plant.
But New York has decriminalized possession of small amounts of marijuana.
(Also, medical marijuana is legal, though this does not sound like a medical marijuana situation)
Fans may be concerned that Luann is turning from using one substance to escape from her PTSD to another, but marijuana is less harmful than alcohol in basically every way.
Those who care about Luann probably have little to worry about based upon this.

Matt Roloff: Under Fire for Smoking, Implied Donald Trump Support
Matt Roloff really just wants to have a merry Christmas.
The Little People, Big World star has made this clear via some cute Instagram photos with his grandkids of late.
But the Roloff patriarch is likely unable to sit back, relax and drink his eggnog at the moment, considering some of the negative comments coming his way on social media.
They started after Matt tried to make a simple joke on Facebook.
Not exactly known for being an especially tough or controversial fella, Roloff jokingly went against type by sharing the photo below and writing as a caption:
“Occasionally… I put my bad boy on!”
As you can see, the long-time reality star is rocking dark sunglasses, a black shirt and a fake tattoo sleeve.
He’s also scowling — and smoking?!?
A handful of comments in response to the photo have focused on the cigar in Roloff’s mouth, with some fans wondering if he’s endangering his small grandchildren, Jackson and Ember.
There’s an ongoing debate taking place within the Comments section regarding whether Matt smokes; whether he would smoke around kids; and whether this is all just a joke.
“I would doubt very much that Matt would smoke around them babies,” one fan said. “Plus the parents I guarantee wouldn’t stand for that.”
Another supporter cut even straighter to the heart of the issue, writing:
“None of you can take a joke. Grow the [heck] up.”
We agree with both these takes.
There’s no evidence Matt smokes, no reason to believe he would do anything to place his loved ones in danger…and even less of a reason to think this is anything but a funny gag.
The second new controversy surrounding Roloff also centers on his Facebook page.
Not typically one to wade into political waters, Matt shared a link on his account last week to a Fox News article titled “Trump, Mattis turn military loose on ISIS, leaving caliphate in tatters.”
He described the article as “most interesting.”
Many of his fans, however, reacted quite differently to the unexpected sharing.
They interpreted his promotion of Fox News as support for President Trump, which is just about as sensitive of a topic as there is in America right now.
Roloff, who says he’s been to Iraq on three occasions, sparred a bit with critics who left harsh comments.
“Forget about the Fox News article that happens to give Trump credit,” he wrote at one point, adding:
“What about the undisputed facts? Iraq seems to be getting their country back… at least for now.”
Roloff later asked everyone to please keep their feelings “civil and clean,” while also linking to other article on ISIS and the Middle East.
It’s unlike the Roloff to share anything that doesn’t focus on their faith or their family, but outspoken Jacob is probably the one exception.
He once slammed Trump on Twitter, calling him a “total clown” and blasting him for “sputtering out of relevance, and business.”
We highly doubt Matt will follow suit again here.
We’re guessing he sticks to photos of Jackson and Ember going forward.

Kendall Jenner: SLAMMED for Smoking a Cigarette in Racy New Photo!
This is just not Kendall Jenner’s year, is it?
It seems like every single time she turns around, she makes another dumb choice that outrages the masses.
At this point, it’s looking like the girl will literally never learn.
First, Kendall agreed to be in that seriously stupid Pepsi commercial, the one that posed the theory that being handed a can of soda by a Jenner will bring about world peace.
And sure, she didn’t write the commercial, but she did agree to star in it, which was a questionable choice at best.
After that, she and Kylie Jenner, for some reason we still can’t quite understand, thought it would be cool to sell t-shirts featuring images of famous musicians superimposed with photos of their own faces.
For a few ridiculous days, you could purchase a Notorious B.I.G. shirt that also featured Kendall’s image and that … was not right.
Biggie’s mother threatened legal action, and we’re assuming the estates of some of the other artists featured on the shirts did as well.
Kendall issued an apology, explaining that the shirts were “not well thought out” and that “it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in any way.”
But still, she and Kylie thought it was a good idea to sell those shirts … maybe just try thinking a little more next time?
Unfortunately, thinking does not seem to be one of Kendall’s strong points.
Yesterday, she shared a new photo of herself totally nude and lying on a table.
The nudity was cool and all, but Kendall ruined it by holding a cigarette in her hand.
In her caption, she explained “I don’t smoke,” but still, no one was impressed.
It’s 2017: the vast majority of people don’t think smoking is cool, they don’t think it looks cool, and they’re not exactly down with models holding them to look cute or whatever.
And the comments on the photo reflect that.
As one person wrote, sure, Kendall says she doesn’t smoke, “but you make smoke look elegant and cool. What’s the difference then?”
“So do you think it is cool to hold it in your hand?” another person asked her. “Very bad and thoughtless act.”
One of her followers asked her to “Stop glamorizing smoking please. It is unhealthy and with this picutre, you make it seem as if it was a talent.”
“Shame about the cigarette,” yet another person commented, “shame about advertising a drug that continues to kill, causes significant debilitation, causes health departments large proportions of their budget, prematurely ages you, can cause diabetes among many other things …”
“Not to mention the damage cigarette butts have on our environment, particularly our wildlife. Holding a beautiful piece of fruit would have been far more beautiful.”
Even one of her fans wrote “So pretty, you’re my favorite, so glad you don’t smoke but still wanted to get the little ones to think it’s cool. Too bad.”
So far, Kendall hasn’t commented on the controversy, and chances are she won’t.
But hopefully this time she’ll realize that it only takes a moment or two to actually consider what you’re doing before you do it.

Kendall Jenner: Fully Naked & Smoking a Cigarette on Instagram!
If you follow her on Instagram, you know Kendall Jenner is often semi-nude.
But due to the site’s weirdly stringent policies on nipples, we never see Kendall actually naked.
Fortunately, the woman is an innovator and a forward thinker when it comes to nudity, and she’s finally figured out a loophole.
Yes, Instagram doesn’t have a rule against side-boob!
Nor does it have any rules against butts or cigarettes or weird outdoor chandeliers.
So Kendall is well within her Insta-rights here.
But she still wants to make it clear to her young fans that she didn’t get that body by being careless with her health.
She captioned the photo simply:
“I don’t smoke.”
Yes, because the cigarette is what everyone is looking at.
And that’s it. Kendall provided no further context or explanation for the pic.
We assume someone informed her that the peasants of the world have to work on Mondays, so she decided to lighten our burden with some unexpected nakedness.
And for that, we thank her.
Reports of a nude Kendall photoshoot have been circulating for some time now, so this might be the the first in a series!
But hey, now is not the time for getting our hopes up.
Instead, allow us to simply gaze upon the shiny form of the Kard clan member who might be the most underrated in terms of hotness.
We know, we know – Kendall’s a Victoria’s Secret model, which is basically the hotness equivalent of winning a Nobel Prize.
But her sisters all tend to show a lot more skin on the ‘Gram, and thus, they seem to have more sexed-up images.
Obviously, that mostly applies to Kim and Kylie, but these days, Kourtney and Khloe are putting themselves out there quite a bit, too.
Mind you, we are in no way complaining about any of it.
It’s just that when Kylie gets naked on Instagram, it’s no big deal.
When Kendall gets naked on Instagram, it’s an event.
In fact, businesses should probably be closed today.
Feel free to just take the rest of the day off, and if your boss asks why, just show him the naked Kendall photo.
He’ll either immediately understand, or you’ll be fired.

Sarah Fowlkes: Texas Teacher Who Banged Student LOVING LIFE in Smoking Hot Mug Shot
Texas teacher Sarah Fowlkes, 27, is accused of having improper sexual relations with a student, a minor who was just 17 years old.
Not that it seems to bother her all that much, based on her mug shot:

We kid, obviously, but one has to wonder how any individual – no matter how photogenic – is in that kind of mood while getting arrested.
For a sex crime, no less. Just bizarre. In any case …
A warrant was issued for her arrest for an alleged improper relationship with the male student, according to CHS Austin affiliate KEYE-TV.
The Lockhart Police Department confirms that Fowlkes is accused of engaging in said conduct with a student at Lockhart High School.
Lockhart Independent School District administrators learned of the alleged romance on March 10, just prior to the school’s spring break.
Authorities said that they determined through a series of interviews that Fowlkes had in fact engaged in sexual contact with the student.
The victim’s name has not been released, as he is underage.
“It shocked me, especially since I used to go here,” River Morgan, a 2016 Lockhart High School graduate, said regarding the scandal.
“I just feel like the teacher should know better than to do that,” Joe Chapa, another 2016 grad, told the Austin station that broke the story.
Parents picking up students at Lockhart High School this week said they were surprised and disappointed, in the understatement of all time.
Some said that the social media age doesn’t help matters.
While it’s not an excuse, the easy online interaction between teachers and students makes it challenging to keep relations professional.
“I feel like it makes it easier for an accidental relationship like that to happen,” Chapa said. “I think maybe there’s not as much of a distance.”
“It should be much more professional.”
Superintendent Susan Bohn emailed Lockhart High School parents on Monday to notify them of Fowlkes’ arrest and suspension, writing:
“Lockhart parents entrust their children to us every day, and it is something we do not take lightly. Student safety is the district’s most important priority.”
“As soon as we learned of the report, we acted swiftly to involve law enforcement and CPS to conduct a thorough investigation.”
“The district does not and will not tolerate any improper communication or contact between a teacher and child,” Bohn added.
Fowlkes has been with the district since 2014.
According to her bio on the high school’s website, she taught anatomy (Did she ever! Too soon?), physiology and environmental systems.
She previously taught third and fifth grade, but “Fowlkes will not return to the school district” in any capacaity, Bohn said in her statement.
According to reports, Sarah Fowlkes celebrated her birthday along with her husband of four years before turning herself in to the authorities.

Kylie Jenner: Smoking Weed Topless on Instagram?!
The ladies of the Kardashian/Jenner clan have been on the receiving end of their fair share of criticism over the years, but most of the controversies have involved sex tapes, racy selfies, and the like.
They usually leave the hard-partying to the men in their lives, and Scott Disick and Lamar Odom have proven that they’re up to the task by ingesting enough substances for the rest of the family combined.
But today, Kylie Jenner proved that sometimes girls just want to have fun, too – and in her case it seems that means taking page from Rihanna’s book and smoking weed in the nude.
Kylie posted the above pic to Instagram today, and as you can see, she appears to be enjoying a naked wake and bake.
As usual, most of the comments on Kylie’s pic are from teens promising to like your photos in exchange for liking theirs.
The Internet is a strange, strange place.
Anyway, there are also some comments that actually have to do with the photo, and it seems KJ’s latest artsy selfie is drawing a mixed response from fans.
“This must be why smoking weed is ‘cool’,” wrote one user who has apparently never listened to any music recorded after 1960.
“This makes me so incredibly happy you have no idea,” wrote PrettyGreenPrincess, seemingly expressing a much more common sentiment.
Kylie has never admitted to any drinking or drug use, but she lives in Southern California; she’s dating a rapper; and she doesn’t have to work a real job.
Aside from actually morphing into Jeff Bridges’ character in the Big Lebowski, we don’t think Kylie could send much more of a clear message with her lifestyle.
This appears to be her way of confirming that she enjoys the occasional toke, but then again, we’ve thought Kylie was coming out as a pothead at least twice in the past, and each time it turned out not to be the case.
After a Snapchat video that appeared to show stoned Kylie having a laugh with friends appeared online back in 2015, the reality star issued a firm denial and clarified that she was just really hyped to be trying Popeye’s chicken for the first time.
(In fairness, that is some good-ass chicken.)
Shortly thereafter, a photo that appeared to show Kylie wearing a pot leaf necklace popped up on Instagram, but was deleted shortly thereafter.
So it’s possible that Kylie will once again come out and assure her fans that she’s living clean and sober.
In the meantime, keep an eye out for Kylizzle at your local dispensary.
She’ll be the one getting out of the car that costs more than the house you grew up in.
