Prince: Public Memorial Service Being Planned, Says Family

Prince’s family has announced that they are planning a public memorial service to honor the late singer.

The memorial will be open to fans, and while details have not been released, it will take place some time in the near future.

Their statement reads:

“We would like everyone to know that, contrary to previous and current reports, there has been no memorial, funeral or tribute service for Prince that was organized or authorized by the family or Paisley Park representatives. 

“Together, the family is planning an official memorial service and public event to take place in the near future.

“Prince and his music influenced so many people that we feel inspired to celebrate his life and legacy in just the right way.

“We appreciate the public’s patience and have been comforted by your outpouring of love, support and condolences.

“We look forward to sharing with the world this celebration of, and farewell to, our Prince.”

Prince was found dead last month in his Paisley Park residence near Minneapolis.

He was just 57 years old.

While a cause of death is still unknown, fans and officials suspect drugs may have played a role.

The singer was said to have been taking the painkiller Percoset to relieve discomfort in his hips, and the drug was in his system at the time of his death.

A report also claims that the music legend had sought out an outpatient treatment program to try and move away from taking the drugs.

None of this serves as confirmation that Prince died of an overdose or that drugs were related, but provides insight as to what may have led to his death.

Toxicology reports are still pending at the time of this writing.

Blac Chyna & Rob Kardashian: Negotiating Reality Show About Pregnancy!

We knew this was going to happen.

Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna have been blabbing about getting their own reality show pretty much since they became an item back in January.

But Blac’s pregnancy may have been just what the couple needed to give the project the green light.

According to Gossip Cop, Rob and Blac are in negotiations to get a show on the air.

The show would document Blac’s pregnancy and follow the pair throughout what is sure to be a colorful journey to parenthood.

Since Rob is under contract with E!, home to Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the network may have first right of refusal to air the show.

There is no word on whether Rob’s mom, Kris Jenner, is involved in the negotiations, but he might be smart to include her.

The notoriously shrewd momager reportedly just got her son a huge paycheck for appearing on KUWTK.

Renewed interest in Rob due to his relationship with Chyna gave Jenner the leverage she needed to quadruple her son’s salary from $ 500,000 to $ 2 million per season.

“Recognizing that his drastic weight loss and sudden engagement to Blac Chyna would be ratings gold for the E! network, Kris was able to get Rob a $ 2 million paycheck,” revealed a source.

Jeebus.

If a slimdown and engagement get him a cool $ 2 mil, what will a pregnancy get him?

But not so fast. 

We’ve also heard rumors that Rob’s family has blacklisted Chyna from appearing on TV anywhere due to their disapproval of the couple’s relationship.

But frankly, we tend to question the accuracy of those claims.

If Kris sees dollar signs in her future, we’re betting she can find some love in her heart for her soon-to-be daughter-in-law.

Meri Brown Breaks Down to Kody Over Catfishing Scandal: I Was Angry at You!

In a preview clip for the season premiere of Sister Wives, Kody Brown confronts Meri Brown on why she engaged in an online affair last year.

If you recall, Meri was the victim of a catfishing scandal in which she had a relationship with a woman named Jackie Overton who had been posing as a man.

In the clip, Kody accuses Meri of wanting out of their relationship.

"You didn"t want to be out of the family, you just wanted to be out of your relationship with me," he tells her.

A contemplative Meri finally opens up.

"Kody, this person got so far into my head that I didn"t know what end was up sometimes," she reveals. "And I"m still trying to get her out of there."

But Kody still prods her.

"You seemed so angry, I didn"t feel like I could get to you," he says. "I didn"t feel like we could talk."

Meri finally breaks down and admits that she did harbor animosity toward him.

"There were times I was angry at you, Kody. I"m not going to lie," she confesses.

"Because, if you and I had taken better care of our relationship, then I wouldn"t have been in such a vulnerable place and I would have been open to other friendships that wouldn"t lead to this kind of deception and evil," she continues.

"So I was angry at you for not being there for me."

While Meri may want to put this humiliation behind her, Overton revealed earlier this year that she would be releasing "sexually graphic" voicemails and photos from their relationship.

Meri first opened up about the affair to her family last year on the Sister Wives reunion.

“At the time it seemed so vague," Kody said at the time. "I didn’t want to push her … she hasn’t felt well, hasn’t seemed like herself for a long time,” he lamented.

Sister Wives premieres Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on TLC.

Totally Awesome Father Awakens Son as Darth Vader

The father featured in the following video has given an entirely new meaning to The Force Awakens.

He opens the footage by explaining that the house is asleep and that his plan is to wake up his son the following morning… while dressed as the epitome of evil.

Darth Vader.

What does he need to accomplish this hilarious goal?

Black pants. Black shoes. Black gloves. A black cape. A black long sleeve shirt. And shin guards.

Oh, also a shoulder pad. An imperial jock strap. A two-piece helmet. And a light saber.

And his wife"s permission, of course. That"s the most important thing of all.

Seriously, this guy is NOT messing around.

How does little son Sebastian react upon being awoken by Darth Vader?

He"s confused at first. But it doesn"t take him long to grab his own light saber and begin to fight…

… until he then grabs a couple books and insists on just sitting and reading with Darth Vader.

Which we guess it"s pretty brave when you think about it. And definitely adorable.
