Meri Brown: She Has a New, Non-Polygamous Man!

According to a new report, Meri Brown has moved on from Kody Brown.

And here’s the best part:

She’s moved on with a man who actually exists!

We’re sorry.

But that’s a catfishing joke that simply had to be made after Meri got herself all wrapped up in scandal two years ago after she struck up a relationship with someone online she believed to be a potential boyfriend.

She then learned, however, that this person was a female and she was the victim of a very cruel prank. Ouch, right?

That was back then, though, and now Meri has dusted herself off and made the best of her life.

Does this life include Kody? This is the question fans continue to ask.

It certainly seemed as if the answer was no after Kody said he didn’t want to have sex with Meri any longer, but the fact remains this:

The stars are still married.

We’re not sure what to think.

Yes, there are some signs that Meri and Kody are in love again, the latest example being the picture above, which was snapped in late April and which depicts Kody visiting Meri in Chicago.

Wrote Meri as a caption:

Kody flew out to Chicago on my last day of #LuLaRoe leadership so we could spend our anniversary together yesterday. How sweet was that?! 28 years and still here!

Sounds like a content woman, right?

Not so fast, writes Life & Style.

This tabloid claims Meri has finally had enough of Kody taking on new wives (she was his first, remember) and that she’s ready to leave her long-time husband.

Especially now that she has a new lover waiting for her once she officially makes this decision.

“This man treats her life a queen,” an insider tells the aforementioned magazine, adding a more details:

“He’s friends with some of Meri’s family and they’ve known each other for several years, but things only became romantic recently.”

Do we know his name? His occupation? His age?

Nope, nope and nope.

But he’s never been married and he isn’t interested in polygamy, Life & Style explains.

“He’s not into fame, either,” the source adds. “He just loves her a lot. He says he has always felt she wasn’t appreciated in her marriage to Kody.”

The tabloid goes on to say that Kody and his other wives (Janelle, Christine, and Robyn) are staying put in Las Vegas these days, where they moved for a bit to hide from the anti-polygamy laws of Utah.

Meanwhile, Meri is enjoying her life back in Utah with her new boyfriend.

And why not, right? Tt’s not as though her problems with Kody have been a secret.

“The whole thing sucks, sorry,” Robyn said of Meri and Kody’s predicament while in counseling.

She concluded at the time:

“It’s not fun and it’s hard to know what to do with it… we love Meri, we love Kody. We have to be Switzerland constantly and we hate to see him in this place, and it’s stressful for our family.”

Sister Wives: Are Kody and Meri Brown Actually in Love Again?!

Who would have thought all those years ago when we first met the Sister Wives that this family would take us on such a roller coaster ride of emotions and drama?

Well, we probably all thought that — it was a reality show about a man with multiple wives and over a dozen kids, so there was never really a chance that it would be drama-free.

But still, the Browns have given us more reality show gold than we ever could have dreamed of, thanks in large part to Meri and her catfish.

That was a few years ago, but the family is still dealing with the issues it raised — issues like all the ones that exist in Meri"s marriage to Kody.

There have been rumors upon rumors that their marriage is over, that she"s leaving the family, that they want her to leave …

But are things actually looking up for them?!

1. Struggles

Meri brown with kody

Kody and Meri have been having problems for a long, long time. Like, all the way back to the very first season of Sister Wives.

2. Problems with Polygamy

Meri brown on instagram

Back then, Meri struggled with the idea of Kody getting a fourth wife — the first season was based on him getting engaged and married to Robyn, in case you forgot.

3. More Sadness

Meri brown from sister wives

She’s also always had a hard time dealing with the fact that she was never able to have another child after giving birth to her daughter while Kody’s other wives have had oodles and oodles of kids.

4. Uh …

Meri brown and kody brown

In one especially memorable moment from that first season, Meri had a private conversation with Kody about how she sometimes resented the fact that he had other wives at all. She asked him how he would feel if she had multiple husbands, and he told her the thought was disgusting. Because hypocrisy.

5. More Problems

Meri brown poses with a chair

As the years went on, Meri still expressed how difficult it was for her at times to share her husband, and she and Kody argued about whether or not to begin fertility treatments to see if they could have more children together. But for the most part, things went on as normal.

6. One and Done

Kody and his sister wives

Meri eventually decided against having any sort of fertility treatments, and she made peace with not having anymore children as Kody went on to have a few more with Robyn.

Meri Brown: Do I Need to Leave Kody Brown for the Sake of My Sister Wives?

Hey, so, remember Meri Brown"s catfishing scandal? The fallout from that continues to drive a wedge between various members of the Brown family.

In this clip from part two of the Sister Wives Tell All, her fellow sister-wives are asked if they wish that Meri and Kody would just go their separate ways.

And Meri is shocked by their answers.

Robyn brown tells all

Early in this clip from the Tell All special, each of Meri"s fellow sister-wives are speaking about how Meri"s catfishing scandal and the ensuing troubles with Kody have impacted them.

Robyn is fairly staightforward with her answer.

"It sucks. The whole thing sucks."

Robyn continues.

"It"s not fun and it"s hard to know what to do with it."

That said, she makes it clear that

"We love Meri, we love Kody, we have to be Switzerland constantly and we hate to see them in this place and it"s stressful for our family."

By Switzerland, she of course means neutral.

Meri brown and christine brown

Christine Brown, who has the best hair of the family, speaks next.

She is, perhaps, the gentlest.

"It"s sad to see two broken hearts and we don"t know what to do to fix it."

Sometimes, there"s little that an outsider can do.

But Christine explains what they are all doing.

"Just support and be there but there’s broken hearts involved on both sides and its super hard."

Robyn brown kody brown and janelle brown

Janelle chimes in.

"You know, in our family you don"t just live in a vacuum, like one relationship affects the other 100 percent."

That is true in any polyamorous relationship, and things are still hugely interconnected in the Browm family"s polygamy. Which, Janelle says, means that what impacts one of them impacts them all.

"You feel it when things are out of joint."

It is at this point when Meri is clearly crying.

(Poor Meri!)

Meri brown cries

Speaking of poor Meri, Andrea does — and you can feel the hesitation in her voice as she says it — pose the question.

Do any of Meri"s fellow sister-wives think that Meri and Kody need to call it quits?

She phrased it more delicately, but she"s clearly asking if they think that everything would be better if Kody just kicked Meri out of the family.

"No one thinks that," Christine reassures Meri.

"None of us think that it’s not supposed to happen or get better."

Even as she comforts Meri, she admits that she doesn"t know what the future holds.

"We don’t know what it looks like in the end but none of us think that."

Honestly, many Sister Wives fans are hoping that Meri can find a better, happier life away from Kody.

It"s not that polygamy is inherently bad, but just that fans really, really do not like Kody. His man-bun, while a great style on some others, isn"t doing him any favors in this Tell-All.

(It"s a combination of his age and his facial hair. Long hair can be great, but Kody isn"t giving off the kind of look at he hopes to)

But what matters is what Meri wants. And she was clearly relieved to hear Christine"s kind words.

Kody Brown: I Don"t Want to Have Sex with Meri Anymore!

Let"s be honest: the Sister Wives crew has been kind of a mess for a long, long time now.

And we"re not even talking their usual polygamy drama mess — for a good few years now, Meri has had and has introduced some serious problems in the Brown family.

Even though Meri"s been friendly with Kody"s fourth wife, Robyn, it does seem like she"s dealt with some jealousy issues, and those only got worse when Kody legally divorced her to marry Robyn.

The divorce made sense — the family did it that way so that Kody could have rights over the three children Robyn had with her ex-husband — but Meri still took it very personally.

Around the same time as the divorce, Meri began talking to a man online, and they quickly became very close.

One could even say she had an emotional affair with him, and she may have gone even further if the man hadn"t turned out to be a catfish.

Yep, the man she"d been falling for was actually a woman, and the whole thing really and truly broke her.

That"s all happened a few years ago at this point, but as we"ve been seeing on the current season of Sister Wives, it"s still causing plenty of issues in the family.

One of those issues is that Kody is pretty much over Meri entirely.

In this sneak peek for their upcoming tell-all episode, the Sister Wives crew sit down to go over some issues they"ve had, and one particular comment Kody made is brought up.

Andrea Canning, the woman interviewing the family, asks about the scene in which he tells a reporter that Meri says she"s his wife, but they don"t "co-habitate."

Kody and his man-bun explain that they made that comment because they were feeling "a little snarky — not towards Meri, but towards this law."

Feelings about laws aside, Meri says that she was "mixed" by his statement because "part of me was like "wait, we don"t need to share every little bit of information about our lives," but at the same time, it"s time to start being real and honest."

Robyn, dear sweet Robyn, cuts in with "Kody sometimes says stuff he shouldn"t say."

Truer words, right?

Andrea says that it was difficult to hear Kody and Meri talk about feeling like a divorced couple, but Meri laughs and says "Well technically, we are!"

And she"s right, of course, but the bitterness in her voice is a bit extreme.

Andrea soldiers on and adds that Kody also said he didn"t want to be intimate with Meri, and he admits that he still feels that way, even today.

Meri asks if she feels the same way or if she does want to be intimate, and she replies that she simply wants "more of a relationship with him than we"re having right now."

Kody begins to say that they don"t know how to fix things, but Meri cuts him off pointedly by saying that the solution is to have "two parties wanting to work toward it."

So … yikes.

At this point, it"s really hard to understand why they"re even still together.

Meri has obviously been unhappy for a very long time, enough to start talking to who she thought was another man, and now that Kody is understandably upset about that, she"s desperate to make things work.

It doesn"t make sense, it"s silly for both of them to waste their time like this — even in the very first season, they were having problems.

If Kody doesn"t even want to be intimate with her anymore … it really sounds like this Sister Wives ship has already sailed.

Fly free, Meri.

Meri Brown Finally Addresses Sister Wives Future: Is She Outta There?

You’ve likely been hearing the rumor for months.

But will it soon become a reality?

Will Meri Brown get up and walk out on Kody Brown, following endless chatter that the end of this relationship is both near and inevitable?

Meri herself has finally decided to address this long-gestating piece of gossip.

Consider what she wrote on Sunday night in response to what folks were talking about on Twiter:

Already starting the night with a blocking spree! Come on guys, I have a family, I’m not bailing! Sheesh!! #SisterWives

Oh, so there we go. Simple enough, we guess.

meri message

Concerns of Meri and Kody Brown’s romance for back a very long time.

Back in 2015, Kody filed to divorce Meri so that he could make Robyn is lone official wife.

Meri, however, remained very much in the picture; she was simply demoted from the status of Lead Wife in This Very Unusual Family.

Then, in May of 2016, Meri found herself at the center of one of the more unexpected celebrity scandals in recent memory, as she flirted hard with a man she met online.

Or at least she thought it was a man she met online.

She later learned that she had been catfished (that is, fooled and lied to) and that she had really been in contact with a woman who she met on the Internet.

This was pretty darn awkward for all involved, not just due to the whole catfishing thing — but because Meri was seemingly out there, looking for love.

TLC, meanwhile, has teased various seasons of Sister Wives by hinting that break-ups and walk-outs were imminent.

This arrangement always seems on the verge of falling apart.

In December of 2016, however, Meri did assure Twitter followers that anything you hear from someone outside the family is “probably a lie.”

Probably, though.

That does leave some wiggle room, doesn’t it?

On the last season of Sister Wives, Meri and Kody attended therapy together in an attempt to move past the catfishing scandal and save their relationship.

In one emotional episode, Kody confronted Meri’s complicated situation and told her:

“You didn’t want to be out of the family, you just wanted to be out of your relationship with me.”

So now you can see where those Meri-Kody breakup rumors come from, right?

We aren’t just making them up, people!

One glance through Meri’s Instagram page does reveal a seemingly content individual, however.

It may very well be that TLC and the Browns themselves perpetrate these sorts of rumors in order to make headlines and remain relevant.

It wouldn’t exactly be the first time a reality television show did such a thing, would it?

Either way, we’ll continue to keep an eye on the many relationships of Kody Brown and report back if or when any does finally come to an end.

Sister Wives Season 9 Episode 10 Recap: Did Meri Go Too Far?

If you watch Sister Wives online, you will already know that Meri Brown has been somewhat isolated from the rest of her family.

On Sister Wives 9 Episode 10, Meri learned that she was left out of the birth of Maddie’s child and that all of the other sister wives were present.

The child was born at home, and Meri felt like she was purposefully left out because of everything that happened in the past.

Was it a miscommunication? Was it intentional? Meri was determined to find out … even if that meant putting herself further at odds with the rest of her family.

For Janelle, it seemed like a slight issue, and one she did not want to have hanging over the family like everything else.

The family went to their usual group therapy session, and, well, it was clear there was some animosity with everyone because of what happened.

“I’m trying to be rational, I’m really trying to let logic and calm thinking reign right now,” Janelle told the cameras.”But maybe because it’s involving Madison, but my mama bear…is uncaged.”

“This is my daughter, she’s giving birth,” she continued. “This is not about us, this is about her and the birth and protecting that experience for her. I’m kind of like, this is so idiotic that we’re dealing with this over a birth.”

Things went from bad to worse when the two women had a war of words about the situation at hand. The other wives reiterated that they had moved on from the past, while Meri seemed intent on dragging things out for dear life.

“I just feel like I’m kind of over this,” Meri said before saying that Janelle is never there for her anymore.

“It was a miscommunication at the beginning, but now I feel like…you’re not there.”

“The bottom line is we did not purposely keep Meri away from the birth,” Janelle added as a defense. “In fact, the whole time I was thinking where is Meri.”

Be that as it may, but if Janelle was really thinking about Meri, she would have made sure she was there. Pregnancies can be stressful times, but Meri was left in the dark.

Meri could be compared to a hurricane. Her emotions are always all over the shop, so it makes sense that the family would want to keep her away from a birth.

She has a knack for making things about her, and it looks like she’s doing the same this time around.

But Christine was the one who doled out the harsh truth that she would not have allowed Meri near the bedroom if she was in charge of the whole thing.

“You bring a lot with you when you come in a room, and you bring a lot of baggage when you come in the room,” she told Meri. “And I don’t know what to do with that.”

That was that, and the issue was far from resolved, but Meri made it clear she did not blame Maddie for all of the drama.

“I’m not critical of Madison at all,” she said.

“Madison did nothing wrong. Madison brought a new life into the world, and I have absolutely no issues with Madison or any of that.”

“All I feel toward her is love, and all she’s ever done is welcome me and accept me as grandma to this baby.”

She continued: “The hurt that I felt had to do with sister wives and Kody, because there are four of them who could have said, ‘Hey, wait a second, an important piece is missing."”

This is likely going to be the argument that pushes Meredith away from the family for good, but at least she has her bed and breakfast to keep her busy.

Far from it, in fact.

Scroll down for a list of Meri Brown facts and figures that may come as a shock, even to those who watch Sister Wives online (or on television) each and every week…

1. She Was HOW Old When She Married Kody Brown?

Meri Brown: In Love With a Married Gay Man?!

The Brown family of TLC’s Sister Wives should probably just take to filming year-round.

Like most reality stars, the Browns film just a couple months out of the year, but unlike your Kardashians, your Duggars, and your Housewives, the Browns generate more drama than can be crammed into a single season.

We swear this isn’t a sponsored post; the family is really just that profoundly f–ked up.

Even if you’re only familiar with the Browns from catching the occasional headline on your way through the check-out aisle (PSA: Let’s be better about focusing less on the tabloids and more on passing down the little plastic dividing stick, okay, folks?) you probably have a rough idea of how bonkers their lives are.

And yes, we mean bonkers even by the standards of other polygamous clans.

Just last year, one of Kody Brown’s wives, Meri Brown, was catfished in a scandal that wound up bringing some of the weirder details of the family’s private lives to light.

For example, we learned that Kody only ever has sex with Robyn Brown, which sort of seems to defeat the purpose of the whole polygamy thing.

Anyway, apparently she wasn’t enjoying all that extra attention because sources close to the Browns say Robyn left Kody last month, which puts the pressure to generate round-the-clock drama back on Meri, who is currently delivering in spades.

According to Radar Online, Robyn met a man while the family was vacationing in Hawaii recently.

Unfortunately, it seems she and her new dude had very ideas about the nature of their relationship:

“While they were filming the big family trip to Hawaii Meri went off to do her own thing and met this man,” says a source close to the Browns.

“She fell fast and hard for this guy. He was nice and it was easy because she really craves attention since she’s not getting it back home, but turns out he’s gay!”

Yes, it appears that what Meri saw as her next affair, her potential side-piece saw as a new platonic friendship.

The insider says Meri was “calling him her boyfriend,” and had even begun planning their future together.

“She was traveling back and forth from Vegas to see him and saving her money to move out of Vegas to be with him,” says the source.

Fortunately, he broke the news to her before things went too far.

No word on how much of this will be featured on the next season of the show that made the Browns famous, but be sure to watch Sister Wives online so that producers get the message that the world demands more of these people.

We’re envisioning like a 24-hour Truman Show scenario.

Sister Wives: Meri Brown Breaks Down Over Her Gay Daughter

Just in case you missed it, Sister Wives gave us a pretty juicy story last week.

Was it juicier than Meri Brown and her catfish? Maybe not.

But still, it was mighty scandalous for the fundamentalist Mormon family: Mariah Brown, the only child of Meri and Kody, announced to her parents that she"s gay.

They took it well, considering that their church has some seriously sinister views on homosexuality, though the Browns have always disagreed with their church on the matter.

Meri, Kody, and the rest of the sister wives all readily accepted Mariah, and they offered her so much support and love.

It was wonderful to see, but judging by this sneak peek from the upcoming episode, it may not have been entirely genuine.

In this clip, Meri talks to Robyn and Kody about Mariah"s announcement, and she"s obviously taking it pretty hard.

She explains that she"d always envisioned Mariah bringing home a man, getting married to him and having kids, and since she was never able to have any children after Mariah, her future husband would have been like a son to her.

Robyn so sweetly — like, so sweetly it might make you tear up — points out that all that can still happen, that Mariah can still get married and have children.

But Meri is struggling. And she is struggling hard.

Check out the sad but oddly touching clip below:

Sister Wives: Are Kody and Meri Brown FINALLY Splitting Up?!

Oh, those Sister Wives …

Those poor, pitiful Sister Wives with their never-ending woe and their near-constant drama.

Don’t you just love them?

It’s not pretty, sure, and it’s definitely nothing to be proud of, but it’s an undeniable fact of life that the vast majority of people simply cannot look away from a trainwreck.

And it doesn’t get more trainwreck-y than this family.

OK, so Kody and Meri Brown have been having issues in their marriage for a long time, right?

Even in the very first season of Sister Wives, they fought.

They fought because Meri couldn’t help but get jealous that her husband had two other wives and was getting a third, or because Kody desperately wanted to have more children with Meri but she couldn’t get pregnant and wasn’t interested in getting any medical assistance with her fertility.

As the seasons went on, things only got worse between them.

They actually ended up getting divorced, but only because, as Kody’s first wife, Meri was the only one legally married to him.

She divorced him so that he could marry Robyn and adopt the three children she had from a previous marriage.

They remained spiritually married, but soon after the divorce, Meri began talking to that infamous catfish of hers.

And that’s what really did it in for their relationship.

It’s like the last nail in the coffin of their love, but it’s a big, long, rusty nail that’s being impossibly stubborn and just won’t get in there enough to just close the damn coffin.

On Sunday’s season 11 premiere, we got to see a whole lot of that sad, awkward tension between Kody and Meri.

Kody said to Meri, “You asked me to not be around you. You invited me away. You told me to go away.”

And then later, in an interview, Kody revealed that “Meri asked me to stop staying at the house.”

As you probably know, each of the four sister wives has their own house, and Kody sort of flits in and out of those houses on a schedule.

In the past, Meri’s had an issue with how much time Kody spends at the other wives houses — since the other wives have so many children with Kody and Meri is the only one in her house, things haven’t always been exactly equal.

But for Meri to just tell him not to stay with her, that’s pretty huge.

The director asked Kody to elaborate on his situation with Meri, but he refused.

All he would say was that “I’m working very hard not to be hopeless.”

Which is admirable or whatever, but we have a bad feeling that Kody’s relationship with marriage has as much hope as we have that Kody will mature into a decent, respectable human being.

(None. We have none hope.)

After the episode aired, Kody hopped on Twitter to explain his decision to keep the details about his Meri marriage to himself.

“We are public and choose to share our lives,” he explained. “However, some things should be kept private. Things saved for my mother or bff.”

Meri got on her own Twitter to talk about the argument she had with Kody, and how Kody refused to really talk to her without their therapist present.

“I actually think the convo was safe to begin with,” she said. “We can only respond to things the other says in the best & most honest way.”

Yeah, so the official split is going to happen in the season finale, right? Please?
