Celine Dion Opens About Deaths of Husband, Brother: The Show Must Go On!

Back in January, Celine Dion’s husband of 21 years, Rene Angelil, passed away following a lengthy battle with throat cancer.

Shortly thereafter, her brother, Daniel Dion, died also after fighting stage 4 cancer that began in his throat and spread to his brain and several other organs.

Understandably, Celine has chosen to keep a low profile for the past few months, but it seems she’s now ready to return to the spotlight, which she says is the best way she knows how to pay tribute to the husband who helped make her a global icon.

Celine covers the new issue of People magazine, and she’s also slated to perform at the 2016 Billboard Awards this weekend, where she’ll perform Queen’s “The Show Must Go On,” a song that had special significance to her and Angelil:

“René always insisted the show must go on,” the singer says.

“You know what, I’m 48 years old and I lost the love of my life. I miss him a lot from when he was great but not when he was suffering. I cannot be selfish. You have to let people go. I feel at peace.”

As much as she clearly misses Angelil, it sounds as though Celine is in a way relieved that his long health struggles are at end:

“It’s been a long, long journey,” Dion says about caring for her late husband. “We were living in hope, knowing that there’s no hope.”

Now, she says, she’s primarily focused on showing her kids that (apologies for the unfortunate Titanic pun) her heart will go on:

“I really, really want to prove to my kids their mother is strong,” she tells the mag.

Celine and Rene had 3 children together, René-Charles, 15, and 5½-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy.

In addition to being her husband, Angelil worked as Dion’s manager and promoter for the bulk of her legendary career.

Gwen Stefani: Real Men Write Sappy Love Songs!

She did find love after divorce, but it wasn’t easy.

Gwen Stefani got candid about the story behind her new duet with boyfriend Blake Shelton, admitting that she came from a dark place while writing the lyrics.

The couple performed “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” on The Voice, then a few days later at an iHeartRadio concert in LA, and though they look totally in love on stage, it took awhile to get there.

“The story is that he [Shelton] had written this song and sent it to me on my phone,” Stefani told friend Chelsea Handler on her new Netflix talk Show.

“He’s like ‘I wrote this song’ and I was like ‘Whoa what if I don’t like it, huge turn off!’

“I listened to it and thought ‘Oh my god I love this,"” she told Handler.

“He said ‘Write the rest of it."”

Stefani ended up completing the song, but said that if this were a short time ago, she wouldn’t have been able to get creative.

“There was a time when I was really insecure about writing.

“There was such a drought of time when I was so insecure,” Stefani admitted.

“I think when you have a really long year you start to compete with your own self and get insecure about I did that but how did I do that?

Shelton had similar fears, telling People “about some serious insecurities that we had when we first started down this road with each other.

“We both had trust issues. We were getting over it, but we wrote this song about it, and it’s perfect.”

There’s a rumor going around the Shelton and Stefani plan to announce an engagement on The Voice.

I’m about 99% certain the tabloids made that story up because A) it’s been a slow news week B) They’ve been wrong about engagement/pregnancy news for so long, that at some point, they will be right.

Sinead O"Connor Blames Family for "Total Psychological and Emotional Destruction"

Sinead O’Connor be safe.

But that doesn’t mean the singer is of sound mind.

As previously reported, O’Connor was reported missing on Sunday morning after she took off on a bike ride and failed to come home in a timely manner.

A concerned friend called 911, according to authorities, because she believed O’Connor to be “suicidal.”

After about a day or so, however, O’Connor was eventually discovered, with no further details available at this time regarding what happened.

It’s understandable that the artist’s friend expressed grave concern, however, considering the unstable mental state O’Connor has seemingly been operating under for years now.

In November, for example she appeared to have penned a suicide note after disappearing in Ireland.

Now, from wherever O’Connor may be,, the troubled “Nothing Compares 2 U” crooner has gone on an epic, disturbing rant via Facebook.

Various family members are, once again, the target of her wrath.

“Every one of you had better pray I die,” O’Connor wrote in the post. “Because I’m suing the f-cking lot of you for what you’ve done to me if I manage to live through it.”

The message begins as an “OPEN LETTER TO JOHN REYNOLDS,” who is O’Connor’s first husband and the father of their son, Jake.

She writes:

You all abandoned me FOR BEING SUICIDAL. YOU F-CKING UTTER CUNTS. YOU LEFT ME TO DIE. Jake says he knows I have mental illness yet he jumps on the cripple.

TELL HIM TO STOP ACTING LIKE HE GIVES A F-CK IF I DIE. THE LYING LITTLE BOLLOX. ALL HE IS WORRIED ABOUT IS HOW HE WILL FEEl. DOESN’T GIVE A F-CK HOW I HAVE HAD TO FEEL SINCE YOU ALL F-CKED OFF ON ME AND MY SON.

O’Connor goes on to address her father, saying he “did this” to her mother and “got away with it.”

But she says he won’t get away with it when it comes to her.

She then addresses Reynolds and asks:

“How many abortions have you forced women successfully to have John? Have you counted? I stopped counting about Sixteen years ago.”

This isn’t the first time that O’Connor has blasted her family.

By the end of her diatribe, she has told her relatives that they may never see her again… but they will definitely hear from her soon.

None of you will ever see me again because of what you’ve done.

If I manage not to kill myself, you’ll be paying the medical costs which have been and will continue to be involved with that, since you were and remain. the chief co-ordinator of my total psychological and emotional destruction.

And I will still never return to you or any of my four children, because of you. So fucking live with that.

Let’s all hope Sinead O’Connor receives the professional help she so clearly needs.
