Florida Woman Snaps Selfir at Grand Canyon, Dies Soon After
A Florida woman named Colleen Burns tragically plummeted to her death on Friday while hiking the Grand Canyon, not long after sharing a photo of herself at the iconic national park.
She was 35 years old.
The story has gone viral because Burns was with family and friends near the South Kaibab Trail when she slipped off an edge at Ooh Aah Point and fell 400 feet to her death.
Just a short time prior to this horrible accident, Burns had snapped a selfie on the edge of a cliff.

According to The Associated Press, park rangers discovered Burns’ corpse at the base of the cliff from where she snapped the photo above.
Very sad stuff.
“That view tho,” she captioned the now-morbid photograph.
The Coconino County Medical Examiner and the National Park Service are looking into the incident.
It’s very safe to assume, however, that this was simply a tragic mistake.
“She was just, like, stepping out of the way for another gentleman to, kind of, squeeze in,” Jessica Roman, a friend who was there with Burns, told a local news station.
“Unfortunately, Colleen just kind of got tripped up on her own feet and fell backwards. She fell into the canyon.”
Roman added:
“That was the longest, strangest, craziest two seconds of my life. Those last two seconds where everyone changed are so minute in comparison to all the memories I have with her.”
Burns worked as a regional marketing director for Yelp in Orlando.
She was well known in her community. And clearly beloved.
“I feel taken apart by the news of Colleen’s passing. I’m feeling what I’m guessing you are: numb and then such sadness,” wrote local deejay Kaskade on Facebook.
May she rest in peace.

They’ll be just in time to film the second full season of Jill & Jessa: Counting On, which we’re sure is purely coincidental, as Jill and Derick have reportedly solved all of the region’s socioeconomic problems and made all non-believers realize they were merely victims of stinkin’ thinkin’.
Just to be safe, we’ll point out that that’s sarcasm, folks.

Anyway, one production insider says part of the second season of the show will feature Derick and Jill’s efforts to convert El Salvador’s 76% Catholic population to “Christianity.”
If you’re keeping score at home, Catholicism is a sect of Christianity – but its one that doesn’t demand its women use their vaginas to populate small cities, so it doesn’t jibe with the Dugz.
Faith-based colonialism gets boring at a certain point (We think Columbus said that.), so around the mid-point of the season, the focus will reportedly shift to Jill and Der’s efforts to re-adjust to life in the States.
Of course, rumors abound that the couple is unexpectedly returning to Arkansas well ahead of schedule, and many of them have to do with Derick Dillard’s health.
The father of one has been looking unusually gaunt in recent weeks, and many believe he contracted some sort of illness while the family was abroad.
The Dillards have spent the better part of the last year living in various Zika hot zones, but while fans frequently expressed their concerns, Jill and Derick didn’t seem worried in the least.
In fact Derick’s been known to joke about Zika, much to the dismay of his many social media followers.
We may never know exactly why the couple has chosen this month to move back to Tontitown for good … but you can bet the decision process will be televised.
Tom Hiddleston Asked About Taylor Swift, Basically Hates His Life
This is all Taylor Swift"s fault.
Tom Hiddleston is a brilliant actor, and a seemingly well-mannered gentleman. His patience was tested during a recent interview in Australia, but the polite Brit managed to keep his cool in spite of super dumb questions about Swift.
"How is Taylor enjoying the beautiful Gold Coast?" the Channel9 reporter asked as Hiddleston was preparing to go for a run on the beach.
"I"m not going to answer that, if it"s all right," he responded, after an awkward laugh.
OHMYGODTHISISSOPAINFUL.
After returning from his run, Hiddleston was met by fans who were psyched to see the Thor star, who traveled Down Under to film the movie"s third installment.
One girl in particular absolutely lost her shit after meeting the actor, bawling her eyes out as the reporter asked her how she was feeling.
"I don"t even know," she said in between sobs. "I"m so happy."
Yesterday, The Hollywood Gossip exclusively reported that Hiddleston is massively over this charade with Swift.
A source told us that Hiddleston – who has starred in The Deep Blue Sea, Midnight In Paris, War Horse and The Avengers – is "a pleasant guy who is very talkative, charming, and humble."
So, how did he get involved with Swift?
"Tom and Taylor’s relationship was initially set up by Taylor’s PR team after they bumped into each other at Anna Wintour’s house-party," the source said.
Swift sunk her teeth into the Brit in order to "stay relevant within the public eye until she decides to release her next album," as you do.
Prior to this, Hiddleston (who was a few years ahead of Prince William and Eddie Redmayne at Eton College) dated Elizabeth Olsen.
Now, Hiddleston is on the Hot Mess Express. And it doesn"t look fun.
"Tom was prepared to go along with it because he believed that he and Taylor would be able to find something in common with each other," the source added about their initial dates.
It was fine at first, but "whilst he does care about Taylor, he is now beginning to realize that he may have made a mistake," the source pointed out, "after she insisted upon them meeting each other’s parents within the space of twenty four hours."
Now, she"s attached herself to Hiddleston, and they"re taking their love tour across Australia!
She"s going to ruin him. She is THE WORST.
