Jon Gosselin Works At T.G.I. Friday"s, Donates Checks to Charity

Let this be a cautionary tale to those who seek insta-fame and an Ed Hardy wardrobe.

Jon Gosselin, who at one point in his life was part of television’s most popular reality show, is now working at T.G.I. Friday’s.

TMZ confirmed Gosselin’s employment at the Lancaster, PA franchise, where the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star has been working for the past few months in the kitchen (he was even put through “chef boot camp”).

The site even got ahold of a selfie Gosselin took with two other employees.

Just a few minutes ago, Gosselin sent out an angry tweet, claiming TMZ ruined something he was “passionate” about.

“Hey @TMZ thanks a lot for ruining something I passionate about, good job interfering!!! FYI, I was donating my checks to charity!” he wrote.

Gosselin still gets to dabble in his other passion, DJ’ing once a month, which he’s been promoting since last year via Twitter.

Gosselin recently gave an interview to Yahoo! about life after Kate, in which he listed out the other ways he makes money.

“I have my [DJ] residencies, which pay my bills,” he explained.

“I get good money. I work at Building 24 in my hometown. It’s great for my kids. It means I’m not traveling a lot.”

Gosselin realized that working behind the scenes is a more lucrative endeavor, so now he is the VP of sales at Embodied Agency, booking talent for gigs which earns him 15-20 depending on the gig.

“I make more money booking than I do DJ’ing. You can only DJ seven days a week. You’re capped,” he said.

“But if you have other DJs working for you, that’s increased.”

Gosselin is hoping to get back in front of the camera now that he’s Mr. Financial Independence.

“It’s the longest job I’ve had after the divorce, and it’s all mine,” he said. “I own it. I don’t have a boss. It’s me. I’m the boss.

“Now I just want to add more dynamic to it by filming it.”

Miranda Lambert: My New Single Is A Hit!

Miranda Lambert is moving on.

The 32-year-old country star’s life has changed a lot in the past year.

She and Blake Shelton divorced last July and the singer took a time out from recording music.

Lambert moved on from Shelton with Anderson East and things seem to be moving along nicely for them.

There’s even word that they could be moving in together.

It’s great that she’s moved on. Right?!

Her first single since her divorce was recently released and it sure seems like she’s on to a winner.

It quickly shot to the top of the iTunes chart, taking over Katy Perry’s new song.

“Vice” is full of emotional lyrics. Could some of them be about her troubling time with Blake?

That’s a strong possibility.

On the heels of her song lighting up the charts, Lambert took to Instagram to speak about her year.

“The last year of my life has been one of heartache and healing,” the country star, 32, wrote.

“Of learning to be honest …. Accepting the flaws and celebrating the smiles. Finding peace in dark places … having some moments alone with me. Facing fears and feelings… All of them.”

“I got to know my guitars…became friends with a pencil and paper … Used melodies to lead me places I had never been…. Made music with my friends.”

“Because music is medicine. This means the world to me. Thank you for joining me on this journey.”

What do you think of her new single and the Instagram post?

Donald Trump Jr: ALSO Accused of Plagiarizing RNC Speech!

As you’ve no doubt heard by now, there was a good deal of controversy surrounding Melania Trump’s speech at the Republican National Convention on Monday night.

A close analysis of the potential first lady’s introduction to voters revealed that Mrs. Trump may have cribbed some key phrases and ideas from a previous candidate’s wife:

Now, astonishingly, the Trump campaign finds itself at the heart of yet another plagiarism controversy, this one centering around the real estate mogul’s son, Donald, Jr.

Donald’s youngest sister, Tiffany Trump, also gave a speech last night, but hers was almost entirely apolitical and focused on her father as a person.

Donald Jr., by contrast, seemed eager to delve into some of the finer policy points of his father’s platform.

Unfortunately, he may have done so with statements recycled from other sources.

Shortly after Donald Jr.’s speech, the Twitter account for Comedy Central’s The Daily Show pointed out some undeniable similarities between his address to the convention and an article for the American Conservative magazine, written by Frank H. Buckley.

Some examples (via Gawker):

Trump: “Our schools used to be an elevator to the middle class. Now, they’re stalled on the ground floor. They’re like Soviet era department stores that are run for the benefit of the clerks and not the customers.”

Buckley: “What should be an elevator to the upper class is stalled on the ground floor … Our schools and universities are like the old Soviet department stores whose mission was to serve the interests of the sales clerks and not the customers.”

Trump: “The other party gave us a regulatory state on steroids.”

Buckley: “Income equality gave Obama a winning hand, and that this gave the country things he hates: Obamacare, Dodd-Frank, and a regulatory state on steroids.”

Trump: “We’ve produced the thickest network of patronage of any country at any time in world history.”

Buckley: “And yet we’ve spawned the thickest network of patronage and influence of any country at any time.”

Buckley eventually offered a statement clarifying that he “helped” Donald Jr., write his speech, and that therefore, “there’s no issue here.”

Well, if the Trump campaign paid Buckley to compose an original address, we hope they kept their receipt.
