Miles Teller: Yes, I Saved a Pregnant Woman from a Shark

Miles Teller appeared a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Thursday night.

And while the actor was on hand to talk about the film War Dogs, the questions quickly turned to a crazy old story about Teller.

Did he really save a pregnant woman from a shark attack?!?

His girlfriend had posted a photo (below) on Instagram of Teller taking this heroic action, talking about the tale on social media and causing many to wonder what the heck happened.

Teller backed up the story, throwing a few jabs at co-star Jonah Hill along the way because Hill had previously been a Tonight Show guest during the week.

The young actor said a woman went up to him several weeks ago and warned him not to be “alarmed,” but… well… there’s a shark swimming around.

This woman had an infant with her and was also pregnant.

"So that"s three people right there" that I saved, Teller said.

(He then made an abortion crack.)

"So, did you then yell SHARK?" Fallon asked, concerned about others in the water.

"Jimmy, I"m saving a life, I don"t have that kind of time," Teller responded with a laugh, adding:

"Obviously, you"ve never saved a life before."

Teller was in great spirits and mostly joking around during the interview, but it"s also easy to see how some folks think he comes across like a dick.

Does he think Jonah Hill would have been capable of the same life-saving maneuver than he execute? HA! No way.

Watch the exchange with Fallon below and see how you feel about Teller afterward:

Derick Dillard Rocks Man Bun, Fans Freak Out

Oh, for the love of Melania! It’s like Bradley Cooper at the DNC all over again, goshdarnit!

Yes, that’s Derick Dillard sporting a man bun, and no, the Duggar devoted are not fans of the look.

“Love you guys but I think Derick must lose his hairdo,” one fan commented on the pic posted by Jill Duggar.

Another added, “Derick looks like a different person with his hair cut. I strongly suggest he keep his hair groomed.”

Some users questioned how Jill’s parents would feel about the ‘do, and others indicated that some of the ruder remarks have been removed.

Fortunately for the Der Bear, some of Jill’s followers are fans of the DiCapri-esque look:

“His hair looks much neater that way. Who cares if Jim bob and Michele approve?” wrote one user.

“I like his hair shut up people! God doesn’t judge based on hair style,” wrote another.

Others were simply (and rightfully) shocked that there’s been such public outrage over the fact that a grown-ass man is rocking a top knot.

“Wow, I just glanced at some of the comments and oh my! Do I personally like his hair long or in a man bunch, No, but he’s not my husband or son so I don’t get a say in how he chooses to wear it,” wrote one sensible human.

Fortunately, the world is at peace, the current presidential election is an amicable contest between two universally beloved candidates, there hasn’t been a mass shooting in like hours (Note: accuracy of comment depends on when you’re reading this article), so there’s really nothing else to do but obsess over Derick Dillard’s appearance.

The funny thing is, this isn’t even the bun’s first appearance:

That’s a video that the Dillards posted for Jim Bob’s recent birthday, and as you can see, Der is clearly sporting the now-infamous bun.

But for some reason, fans waited until now to take to the streets lighting trash cans on fire and overturning cop cars.

Of course, the most bizarre thing about this situation (and just about every damn part of it is bizarre) is that Jill posted the pic to inform fans that the Dillards are headed back to the US after a year of international missionary work.

We’re guessing she didn’t think fans would focus on her husband’s hairstyle.

Hopefully, the Dillards are on a plane with an in-flight barber, or they may be facing a hostile return.

Dude Waits 10 Days in Freaking Airport For Woman He Met Online

They say patience is a virtue, but even virtues have limits.

A Dutch man spent 10 days at an airport waiting for a woman he met online, but ended up dateless – and hospitalized – after all that.

According to media reports, Alexander Pieter Cirk, 41, arrived at Changsha"s Huanghua International Airport in July looking for love.

It was there he hoped to meet a 26-year-old woman surnamed Zhang, whose acquaintance he had apparently made over the Internet.

Alas, he was stood up. For a freaking week and a half.

After eight days in the terminal, he told Hunan ETV that he had met her online in May and would not leave until his "girlfriend" arrived.

Zhang, somewhat incredibly, is a person who exists.

However, she told the same broadcaster by phone that she had not expected Cirk to actually come to Changsha and couldn"t make it.

Want to guess the incredibly important reason?

She recently had cosmetic surgery which made it "inconvenient" for her to step outside, she said … though she does feel kinda bad.

"I was really shocked. When we started, we were aiming towards (marriage), but he slowly became a bit indifferent towards me," she said.

"But when we started we were both on good terms," Zhang added, reiterating that she really was surprised to hear he came to China.

When she found out is far from clear, but it"s little consolation to Cirk, who had to be taken to the hospital after becoming malnourished.

After 10 days of waiting with little to eat or drink but instant noodles and soft drinks, he was taken to receive treatment via a wheelchair.

Wow. Seriously, talk about adding injury to insult.

Even still, he vowed to see this romantic journey through and "have a good talk with the woman I love, (and bring her) back to my hometown."

Finally, the cold, hard reality sank in however.

Cink returned to the Netherlands, minus a few belt notches instead of adding one (sorry), and without ever having set eyes on Zhang.

Hopefully he"s back on Tinder by now?
