Big Brother Recap: Christmas Comes Early

Getting a perk in the Big Brother house is no easy task, so when a a houseguest gets one, we expect them to use it.

Corey got a perk that allowed him to bribe another houseguest to influence someone to make a game move.

It’s a great little perk, but will he really use it? I’m not so sure the dude even knows what a perk is.

We picked up right after the nomination ceremony. Michelle and Paul were put on the block by Nicole.

Yes, Nicole actually managed to win a competition this summer. She may have manipulated her way to victory, but it’s still a win.

Michelle had the audacity to thank Nicole for not being mean in her speech. If you recall, on double eviction night, Michelle was sure she was going home.

She decided to call Nicole out on live TV. It was nasty, but it’s something I would have expected from her.

The sad thing about Michelle is that she knows how the game works, but she’s too much of an emotional player to use her knowledge to her advantage.

She’s made it clear on countless occasions that Nicole is her target, so why shouldn’t Nicole strike while she can?

Nicole and Corey are very much committed to their new alliance with Paul and Victor, so there was no chance she would target either of them.

That said, it made sense for her to put Paul on the block to prove to James and Natalie that she was honoring her part of the deal.

James chose to believe everything Nicole said about not putting he and Natalie on the block. However, Natalie isn’t as dumb as she leads James to believe and knows there’s a chance Nicole is flipping on them.

The reason she figured it out was due to a change in Victor. He was no acting like he or Paul were in danger that sort of gave it away.

Add in the fact that Victor chose Corey to play in the veto. Michelle picked up on that, and let the audience know there was something sketchy going on.

At the veto competition, Christmas came early to the Big Brother house i the form of the Stay/Fold competition.

Nicole was bossing it, so Corey put in a silly number when it looked like Nicole was about to be eliminated.

It was hilarious, but also pretty clear he was doing it to prevent Nicole from being ousted from the competition.

Nicole won the Power of Veto.

After the competition, Paul pretended he was mad at losing, while Michelle took a meltdown when she realized her time in house was probably over.

Paul then went to meet Nicole to confirm their alliance was still a thing.

Nicole did not use the Power of Veto.

Michelle and Paul remain as the nominees for eviction.

Who do you want to be evicted?

Kim Kardashian: THIS is My Biggest Flaw!

Kim Kardashian may like to show off her body at all times.

But this doesn’t mean Kim Kardashian is totally and completely happy with her body.

In a new entry on her official app/website, Kardashian delves into the one physical trait that has plagued her for years.

It has to do with the skin she flaunts on a nearly-daily basis.

“Since I was first diagnosed with psoriasis in 2010, I’ve been pretty open about my struggles with it,” the 35-year-old reality star writes

“I have that one patch on my right leg that is most visible.

“I don’t even really try to cover it that much anymore. Sometimes I just feel like it’s my big flaw and everyone knows about it, so why cover it?”

Case in point, the following photo:

We’ll ignore the fact that Kim barely looks human here and focus instead of the aforementioned patch on her right leg.

We often come down hard on Kardashian for the way she publicly expresses her need to lose weight.

We often say sets a terrible example for young fans by focusing so much on her figure.

And we take none of that back. It’s true. She has to stop making it sound as if being skinny is all that matters for a woman.

(And she has to stop making it seem like she’s recommending a product from the bottom of her heart, as opposed to the top of her bank account.)

HOWEVER, we’ll give her props in this case. We appreciate the fact that she is opening up about an insecurity.

Kardashian first learned that she had this pretty common skin condition after seeing a dermatologist on a 2011 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

She was attending the DASH store opening in New York City when a case of psoriasis flared up; she thought the breakout was due to the sequin dress she was donning at the time.

“I thought it was just a rash caused by the fabric, but then the rash was COVERING my legs and my mom was like, ‘I think you have psoriasis!!!’” she writes, adding:

“She has it, too, and it’s hereditary, so she spotted the symptoms immediately.”

A neighbor of Kim’s in West Hollywood suggested she get the occasional cortisone shot to “help combat the inflammation.”

This is why some people think Kardashian gets butt injections to plump up her famous rear end.

She explained the true basis for her sporadic visits to the doctor earlier this month in a live Web chat.

“There is a picture of me in Miami wearing an electric blue dress, and another picture of me walking down Robertson,” she said during the August 15 livestream. “

You see the indent. And I think that’s when the rumors started: ‘She’s had implants.’”

The rumors have existed ever since Kim became a celebrity, so we’re not sure if they can be blamed solely here on her cortisone shots.

However, again, we come not to bury Kim Kardashian for once. But to praise her.

So we’ll just stop, do so and then go take a shower.

It feels dirty to say nice things about Kim!

Nick Viall: Why is He The Bachelor?!?

Forget the most shocking Rose Ceremony in Bachelor history.

ABC went ahead this week and delivered the most shocking piece of casting news in Bachelor history:

Nick Viall will be the 21st Bachelor in network history.

Yes, Nick Viall.

Not Luke Pell or Chase McNary, the two gentlemen considered to have been front-runners for the past several weeks.

Why did producers select Nick Viall?

Why give this man a fourth shot at contrived love, considering he’s already appeared twice on The Bachelorette and is actually appearing right at this very moment on Bachelor in Paradise?

It wasn’t the plan all along, a source tells E! News.

“In just the last few days, it totally switched,” an insider tells E!, confirming that Pell had been the favorite for awhile.

Just how unexpected was the choosing of Viall?

“Nick’s closest friends and Bachelor in Paradise co-stars didn’t even know until moments before it was announced on After Paradise,” this same mole confirms.

Another source chimed in and told E! the same sort of thing:

“It was completely a last minute decision that only came together in the past few days. A very small handful of people knew. Nothing has been shot yet. There’s a lot that still needs to be figured out.”

Okay then. But WHY?

Why Viall at the final moment over Pell?

He’s apparently been a pleasure to work with on Bachelor in Paradise this summer. That just about sums it up.

“Nick is a low-key and chill to work with,” the source explains. “He also had a great edit this season on BIP.”

Viall ended up as the runner-up on both Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe’s seasons of The Bachelorette.

ABC will likely push the angle of this being his final chance to find a wife, of seeing whether he can finally clear the concluding hurdle.

“As Paradise started airing, he became a massive fan favorite,” E! writes. “He’s the villain who became a hero. It became a comeback story that was irresistible.”

Of course, not everyone agrees.

Amanda Stanton, who got close to Viall on Bachelor in Paradise, wrote a cheeky response to Viall’s casting.

But Josh Murray is actually happy for his reality show nemesis.

“Despite our differences I am truly happy 4 @viallnicholas28 everyone deserves love and he is no exception – this is your time, go find her,” Murray wrote yesterday.

Really! He did!

Finally, host Chris Harrison helped explain why those who watch The Bachelor online will see Viall next spring and not Pell.

This is what he said to Good Morning America:

‘Ultimately, at the end of the day when we were discussing all of the candidate… t just got down to the final question of, ‘Who’s the most deserving? Who is the most sincere? Who have we watched time and time again really come on the show to find love and just come up short each and every time?’

“While Luke and Chase were good guys, we all just kept coming back to Nick. It’s just crazy enough to work.”

As for Pell?

Don’t shed too many tears over his snub.

Pell and God

“Thanks for all the love and support over the past few months, sometimes in life we are faced with unexpected changes,” he wrote on Instagram on Wednesday.

“I’m happy to be back home in Nashville and so excited about what the future holds.”

He’ll be just fine in the end.

The Bachelor Season 21 will air on ABC some time this spring.
