The 57-year-old — who is now an analyst for Fox Sports Detroit — issued a statement saying, “I have faced many different obstacles in my life, and have always maintained a strong belief that no matter the circumstances, I could overcome those obstacles.”

Parkinson’s is a disease of the nervous system that affects movement. While there is no cure, there are treatments that can significantly reduce symptoms.
