Wow! Talk about a hard life!
Manny Pacquiao may be one of the richest boxers in the world now, but it’s been a tough road to get there.
His trainer Freddie Roach revealed how Pacman’s career started out at when he was 12 years old, growing up in the Philippines. It’s not what you think though.

Manny’s family was very poor, and one night he realized that his dad had cooked the family dog because they needed food. Not even a teenager yet, Manny ran away and “slept in a cardboard box” on the streets. By the age of 14, Pacquiao had turned pro, and never looked back.
Fast forward to now, Manny is still going strong and has a new dog in his life named Pacman (above).
We’re glad he was able to push through that tough time and come out stronger on the other side!
If you wanna root for this comeback kid, he’s fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr. in Las Vegas on Saturday!
