Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall have announced their engagement.
The 84-year old media mogul and the 59-year old model confirmed this unexpected news in the “Births, Marriages and Deaths” section of Murdoch’s The Times on Monday, January 11.
According to insiders, The News Corp. executive chairman was set up with Hall by Murdoch’s family members.

The day prior to going public with their engagement, Murdoch and Hall walked the red carpet of the 2016 Golden Globe Awards, as you can see above.
On the romantic side, Hall is best known for having dated Mick Jagger from 1977 to 1999.
She is the mother to four of the rocker’s kids.
Murdoch, meanwhile, divorced his third wife, Wendi Deng, in 2013.
They have two children together.
