Taylor Swift is about to make like Kim Kardashian.
No, she won’t be starring in a sex tape. Nor will she be talking endlessly about weight loss or cinching a waist trainer around her midsection.
But Swift WILL be featured in her very own video game!
According to a press release, Swift is teaming up with Glu Mobile on a “new, one-of-a-kind digital gaming experience,” which is slated for release some time this winter.
Glu Mobile is the company behind Kardashian’s wildly successful game, along with one released last year that features Katy Perry.
Scarcely any details surrounding Swift’s upcoming app store offering have been released.
But it does as if this game will differ a bit from Kardashian’s and Perry’s, both of both take the player on a journey toward stardom.
“We realize that Taylor and her global fan base expect a new and highly differentiated mobile gaming experience,” says Glu Chairman and CEO Niccolo de Masi in a statement.
“Glu is equally committed to designing never before seen gameplay elements that utilize Taylor’s unique creativity. Accordingly, we will spend the required development time to ensure this innovation is achieved.”
We can only presume that the app will have something to do with achieving #SquadGoals, writing songs about ex-boyfriends and, of course, hanging out with cats named after TV characters.
As for why Taylor Swift would want to partner with a video game company?
We can think of about 200 million reasons why.
