1. Oh, No, She Ha-Didn’t!
Aside from giving us a terrible Melania Trump impression, Gigi Hadid recycled a very old joke about how the soon-to-be First Lady stole speech material from Michelle Obama.
2. Who Brought the Kleenex?
Selena Gomez admitted she’s been “broken inside” and brought viewers to tears via a heartfelt, raw and honest acceptance speech.
3. Gaga Slays!
But what else is new, right? Lady Gaga kept it simple (with no shoes, even!) in singing an emotional version of her song “Million Reasons.”
4. Down with Trump!
Green Day, a band which is apparently still around, slammed Donald Trump during its time on stage. After performing “Bang Bang,” the trio broke into a chant of “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA.”
5. A Degrassi Reunion
After Nina Dobrev presented Drake with an award, the singer noted: “Me and Nina were on Degrassi together, by the way. We’ve come a long way, you know? Congratulations on all your success.”
6. Sexiness Personified
If you didn’t know what “Side to Side” was really about, Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande held very little back in performing in on stage.
