Over the weekend, Corinne Olympios went ahead and awoke the deepest, darkest fears of all who watch The Bachelor online or on television each week.
This season’s most prominent villain, Corinne posed for a photo on Instagram alongside social media personality Claudia Oshry, who goes by the online moniker “Girl With No Job.”
Wrote Oshry to her 2.4 million followers as a caption to the image:
“One of us is a Bachelorette contestant and the other has a nanny.”
But fans of this ABC competition weren’t focus on Oshry’s joke. They quickly became focused on Corinne’s finger.
Because… well… IS THAT AN ENGAGEMENT RING?!?!?!?!?!?
Olympios is most definitely rocking a diamond in the same finger one would wear it if one were to get engaged.
This shiny piece of jewelry naturally has many viewers wondering whether Corinne is the final suitor standing on Season 21, with a handful of The Bachelor spoilers out there at least hinting strongly that she ends up in The Final Four.
It also has many of these same viewers burying their faces in their hands out of concern that this will end up being the outcome.
Corinne hasn’t exactly endeared herself to fans over the opening few episodes.
She’s thrown herself at Viall as much as any contestant has ever thrown herself at a Bachelor, yanking off her bikini top early on and letting Nick feel her knockers, for instance.
The stunt earned Corinne a rose at the time, which seems to be all she cares about on a weekly basis.
“Dad would be proud,” Olympios said after her striptease turned every single suitor against her. “Even though I was naked.”
It’s also worth noting that Olympios jumped on Viall and straddled him in a very sexual manner while the two jumped around a bounce house last week.
Oh, and she has a nanny.
She’s 24 years old and she has a nanny.
The nanny’s name is Raquel and Corinne has talked openly about how much she needs this personal assistant, gleefully telling the world that Raquel does “everything” for her.
This includes the making of Corinne’s bed and the doing of Corinne’s laundry.
Raquel also makes cheese pasta for Olympios, who has no problem admitting that she cannot make pasta and mix cheese into it.
Did we mention that she’s 24 years old?
Well aware of her villainous status on the series, Corinne has not only run away from it… she’s embraced it.
Shortly after the clip of her taking her bathing suit top off went viral, and the backlash grew strong, Olympios sent a very clear message to all critics
“Haters, I [donut] care,” she wrote on social media along with the following pants-free photo:
So now we’re left to wonder:
Is Corinne really engaged to Nick?
On Sunday, she shared a picture of herself holding a drink (that we assume Raquel made for her), one that zoomed in on her left-hand fingers and did NOT feature the diamond ring depicted above.
So… perhaps ABC producers got mad at her for the initial photo and made her take the rock off?
Perhaps she was just messing with fans while posing with Oshry?
Perhaps we’ve already given way too much thought to the relationship status of Corinne Olympios?
Neither ABC nor Warner Bros. responded to a request for comment on this topic from Entertainment Tonight.
We’ll likely be left to wonder about this rumored engagement for many weeks, at least up through The Bachelor hometown dates and Fantasy Suite episode.
Until then, we’re just going to make our own cheese pasta and pray to the reality show gods:
