Sean Spicer Has No Idea Who Frederick Douglass Is

February marks the start of Black History Month.

In recognition of this occasion, Donald Trump offered a take on a few famous African-Americans this morning, from Rosa Parks to Martin Luther King Jr. to Frederick Douglass.

And this is what he said about Douglass, a former slave who became an abolitionist… a diplomat… an author… a statesman… and early adopter of fight for women’s suffrage.

And who died in 1895.

"Frederick Douglass is an example of somebody who has done an amazing job that is being recognized more and more, I noticed."

It"s unclear just where Trump noticed this.

Although it"s very clear that Trump has no idea who Frederick Douglass is.

Asked to clarify his boss"s comments about the African-American icon, Sean Spicer took to the White House podium this afternoon… and made things worse.

"Well, I think there’s contribution," Spicer stammered when asked about Douglass.

"I think [Trump] wants to highlight the contributions that he has made, and I think through a lot of the actions and statements that he’s gonna make, the contributions of Frederick Douglass will become more and more."

Makes perfect sense, right?

You have to watch Spicer recoil at this question and give the world"s worst answer below:
