Counting On Recap: All About Jinger Duggar!

This week on TLC’s Counting On, Jinger Duggar prepared to move to Texas and in turn, received a surprise gift from her many siblings.

We got to join them in a stroll down memory lane as a result.

If you watch Counting On online, you know that Jinger is gearing up to marry Jeremy Vuolo, and that this is bittersweet for her siblings.

Well, Counting On Season 2 Episode 18 was no exception.

While Jinger packed up her things to take them to Jeremy Vuolo’s place in Texas, Jana Duggar and Joy-Anna Duggar waxed philosophical.

Some of her brothers went to go get Jinger a car – a small SUV – while Jeremy flew in to drive with Jinger back to the Lone Star State.

Jedediah came along, naturally, as the chaperone.

Citing the fact that Jeremy and Jinger were both adults who could be trusted, Jed was not expecting any breaking of courtship rules.

The trio may have broken a road trip record for time spent in one little SUV, though, as a 12-hour drive ended up taking 17. Seventeen.

Good thing they like each other, isn’t it?

Meanwhile, we finally learned Jessa Duggar’s baby name at last, as she and Ben revealed the (unique) moniker of their newborn son.

“We are so excited to introduce our little baby boy to the world,” Jessa began, before revealing, “His name is Henry Wilberforce Seewald.”

You read that right. Henry Wilberforce.

Jessa is thrilled to have “two little boys so close in age” because this meant they would be “best friends” who will do “everything together.”

Here’s the cute family of four:

“When the baby was finally born, and I got to hold him for the first time, I started crying, and I think Ben had tears in his eyes.”

“I want to thank everyone for their love and their prayers and support for us during this labor and delivery,” Jessa added.

Pivoting back to Jinger’s fiance, Jeremy Vuolo is the youngest of three boys, and studied finance in college before playing pro soccer.

He played in Finland and in New York, before eventually giving up his athletic career to become the pastor of a small church in Texas.

“I did have an idea of the type of guy that Jinger would be looking for,” Jessa mused of her smitten younger sibling.

“Obviously, the most important thing would be a love of God and have a heart for ministry,” she adds, and Jeremy has that in spades.

As the couple’s wedding grew nearer, Jessa in particular still seemed to be struggling with letting go of her sister and best friend.

“I have very mixed emotions about this wedding,” she told the cameras. “I’m thrilled for Jinger and Jeremy. I know they’re meant to be.”

“But I wish Jeremy wasn’t taking her so far away.”

Jessa recalled, sweetly, how she loved to have Jinger chaperone her dates with Ben because she didn’t want her sister to feel left out.

With the roles reversed, and her little sister about to tie the knot and embark on a new journey with her soul mate, Jessa found it bittersweet.

If I think about it, I get emotional, and I’ve already cried several times,” Jessa said. “When she’s gone, I’ll probably have a meltdown.”
