Harry Styles is about to pull a Zayn and embark on a music career sans the One Direction lads.
He’s got his debut solo album set for release this week, and he’s soon to embark on a world tour, which means this is probably the worst possible time for the 23-year-old heartthrob to be starting a new relationship.
But Harry Styles is as unconventional as his … hair styles (sorry), so he’s throwing caution to the wind and getting serious with a celebrity chef and food blogger named Tess Ward.
“As soon as Harry met Tess there was an instant spark between them,” a source close to the couple tells The Sun.
“They really bonded over their mutual love of quirky fashion and food – and things turned romantic quickly.”
Yes, insiders say Harry loves Tess’ sense of humor and her unconventional approach to life.
And we love that Tess is subverting expectations about what people who spend their days blogging and eating should look like!
Of course, Tess is probably whipping up four-course meals while we keep forgetting to wipe the Cheeto dust off our fingers before typing, but we’re more or less in the same boat, when you think about it.
“They’ve been on a number of dates while Harry has been in London and he’s already introduced Tess to some of his close friends including his personal stylist Lou Teasdale,” says the tipster.
“This really seems different to Harry’s past relationships as Harry genuinely is besotted with Tess and doesn’t want to risk messing this one up.”
Harry’s been involved in several high-profile relationships, but for the most part he seems to prefer monogamy to playing the field.
Harry dated Taylor Swift for several months back in 2012, and while that was obviously his most heavily-scrutinized romance, it wasn’t the last time he (allegedly) hooked up with a fellow celeb.
There have been rumors about Harry hooking up with Kendall Jenner, but those remain unconfirmed.
There have even been reports of a romance between Harry and Chelsea Handler, and while that one’s a bit tougher to imagine, stranger couplings have happened.
It seems those closest to Harry and Tess believe them to be a perfect match.
But with a 28-city tour kicking off this summer, the relationship will be road-tested early on.
