Josh Murray and Amanda Stanton are so over that Amanda is returning to Bachelor in Paradise for another shot at love later this year.
The couple has had more ups and downs than a yo-yo, and despite multiple attempts to make their relationship a success, they are now officially over.
“I am definitely not trying to get back together with Amanda. We are done. That ship has sailed a long time ago,” Murray tells PEOPLE.
“There’s been communications over the past few months; it hasn’t been a fun few months to deal with.”
It’s never easy splitting up with someone, but you can tell things were toxic between the former couple. The police were recently called so that Josh could get his hands back on a car he purchased for Stanton last October.
At the time, Stanton’s ex-husband blasted Josh in the media for leaving Amanda without a car.
Josh, however, seems hopeful that his former love will find happiness on the new season.
“At the end of the day, I wish her the best, and I wish she can move on. I know she’s going to be going on Bachelor in Paradise for the third time, so hopefully, she can try again and find something,” he says.
Josh also opened up about how he has been living in a “negative world these past few months,” which “sucked everything out” of him.
“I wish nothing but the best for her, but I have moved on,” he says, before confirming, “We will not be getting back together.”
Bachelor Nation does not have the best track record when it comes to couples staying together. If Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell could not make it work, what hope is there?
It probably makes sense then that Murray has moved away from dating women from the franchise and has instead moved over to a new dating app.
That app is called Hinge, and we’re not entirely sure whether it’s a celebrity spin on Tinder, but we wish him well in his quest to find love.
Turns out, getting engaged on reality TV is not the best thing to do.
Somewhere, Nick Viall is laughing at the thought of Josh Murray being alone.
