If you watch Teen Mom 2 online, then you probably feel like you now more about Kailyn Lowry’s pregnancy than Kailyn Lowry does.
The drama surrounding the identity of Kailyn’s baby daddy, her efforts to keep her pregnancy from fans, and the mixed reactions from her previous baby daddies haven’t even been featured on the show yet, but diehards already know the whole story.
The reason for that, of course, is that the drama has all played out in real time on social media.
We’ve seen Kailyn’s baby bump selfies; she’s tweeted about #PregnancyProblems; and she’s snapchatted just about every moment of her pregnancy.
(Every moment after she copped to being pregnant, that is.)
But all of her compulsive sharing, Kailyn has managed to keep certain key information under wraps.
That’s her right, obviously, but when you have such an obsessive fan base, you have to know that keeping secrets is only gonna make them go digging.
And digging is just what the TM2 obsessives have been doing!
In this case, that means parsing through Kailyn’s every tweet for hidden meaning, unpacking that sh-t like it’s an Emily Dickinson poem and you’re in English class.
Some of what they’ve found has been useful.
(It was Kailyn’s fans who first figured out that she’s pregnant by Chris Lopez.)
And of course, a lot of it has been complete crap.
Only time will tell if the Kailyn sleuths latest discovery has any merit:
They’ve drawn a conclusion based on a single tweet, which reads:
“This baby is stretching out into room I didn’t realize he/she had in there. I’ll never get over this feeling… so strange but so cool.”
That may seem like a stray pregnancy observation, but Kailyn Crazies find meaning in everything.
It’s their belief that since she’s experiencing a sensation that she’s never felt before and her first two kids were boys … Kailyn must be having a girl!
Like we said, it’s a stretch.
Of course, they have a 50/50 chance of getting this one right, so we don’t want to shoot them down and wind up looking like fools.
Still, we wouldn’t go placing any bets on the gender of the latest Lowry just yet.
