From the time we first learned that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are dating, most of the rumors about the couple have revolved around the possibility of marriage.
Now, however, a report of trouble in paradise is making its way across the social media landscape, and if the allegations are true, it could mean big trouble for one of the music world’s most beloved couples.
Several sources are now claiming that Blake has formed an overly-friendly relationship with Chloe Kohanski, winner of The Voice Season 13.
Kohanski, 24, has a massive following on social media, and there are hopes that she’ll be the first winner of the show to go on to a career as a successful recording artist.
Unfortunately, most of the press coverage surrounding the young singer these days has to do with her relationship with Shelton.
Countless media outlets have reported on or hinted at a romantic relationship between Shelton and Kohanski.
Neither party has publicly addressed the allegations, and many fans have concluded that this is an incident in which their silence speaks volumes.
Life & Style has even gone so far as to report that Stefani and Shelton were engaged, but “called off their summer wedding after a huge fight.”
“Gwen was really unnerved by the student-teacher relationship, especially when Chloe took home the title in late December,” a source tells the tabloid.
The insider claims Gwen and Blake had the worst argument of their relationship when she confronted him about his relationship with Kohanski.
While no one is claiming the couple has broken up, multiple sources insist that they have pumped the brakes on their relationship in response to the affair allegations.
“Most friends believe they will still walk down the aisle someday, but Gwen and Blake have some things to work on first,” the informant tells Life & Style.
“Trust is important and this isn’t the right time for a dream wedding.”
The insider adds “the last thing Gwen or Blake wants is another divorce.”
Like Blake, Gwen has yet to speak publicly about the cheating charges.
It could be that both parties simply don’t want to dignify unfounded gossip with a public statement.
