Chelsea Houska was presented with the most special birthday gift one could ever receive on Wednesday.
And here’s the thing: She gave it to herself!
(Okay, granted, husband Cole DaBoer played at least some role in the gift.)
We speak, of course, about Houska giving birth this week to her third child, a little girl named Layne.
This would be a monumental/exciting/blessed event for any young lady, of course, but it was made all the more special because Layne now shares a birthday with her own mother.
Chelsea turned 27 years old on Wednesday.
“Happy birthday to my sweet perfect wife Chelsea DeBoer who just gave our family this beautiful blessing!” wrote Cole as a caption to the picture below, recognizing this cool coincidence and adding:
“Sharing the same amazing day I am so in love with our family!
“Our newest edition Baby Layne!!”
Now, a day after posting this image with their followers, Chelsea and Cole have followed up with another snapshot of their newborn.
This one was published on her Instagram Story by Chelsea, who took note of one unique aspect as a caption to the photo.
“Look at that hair,” wrote an excited Houska at the bottom of the image, alongside a heart-eyes emoji.

Chelsea and Cole are already proud parents to a 17-month old son named Watson Cole.
And Chelsea also has a daughter named Aubree Lind, courtesy of a previous relationship with Adam Lind, an ex that continues to (allegedly) break the law and end up in jail.
“I’m grateful that [Aubree] has someone like Cole, [someone] who has gone above and beyond,” Chelsea told Dr. Drew Pinksy just this past Monday on MTV’s Teen Mom 2 reunion special.
But she also admitted that Lind’s past will probably have some kind of effect on his daughter at some point.
“There’s no doubt that this has to hurt her, will hurt her, deep down someday,” she added on stage at this reunion.
But anyway.
We’re not here to talk about the past or about any other of Chelsea’s kids. Not right now at least.
We’re here to look forward to a hopefully very bright future for Houska, DaBoer and their new addition.
And maybe their future new additions?
We know, we know: they only just became parents again, but Chelsea did once say the following:
I just want so many baby Coles. I think it’d just be fun to have so many babies closer together.
[With Aubree and Watson] it was seven years before we had another kid. We need to just be patient, but I can’t help it.
Well, here you go, Chelsea! Congratulations!
