13-Year Old Dedicates AGT Audition to Cancer-Stricken Father

Evie Clair made us cry on Tuesday night.

The 13-year old America’s Got Talent contestant got up on stage and told Simon Cowell that she was trying out for the show because “it’s just always been my dream ever since I was little.”

That"s perfectly fair and pretty normal.

An endless array of children dream about striking it big as a singer.

But it didn"t tell the full story, either.

Shortly after introducing hersselt to viewers, Clair got choked up. For a very understandable reason.

"My family, about a year ago, my dad was diagnosed… sorry, with stage four lung cancer.

"They gave him a five percent chance to live, and he’s still working and supporting our family. So tonight I’m here to sing for him."

This admission created a hush over the audience. What is there to possibly say in response, right?

As for why she selected Christina Perri’s "Arms" as her audition song?

“When my dad is having rough days, I go up to his room and sing this song to help him feel better and just give him comfort and strength to continue fighting," she said, to which Cowell replied:

“You’ve been really unbelievably brave with what you’ve told us tonight. Now I want you to just settle yourself for a little while.”

After Tyra Banks brought out some water for the young teenager, Cowell encouraged Evie to give her performance all she had:

“Okay, now this is the time I want to hear the best vocal you’ve ever, ever done. Got it?”

Clair did so, earning a standing ovation in the process, along with this praise from Howie Mandel:

"There was so much meaning. A broken heart and tears and the cries of a little girl who loves her father and wants to be there, and I feel like everyone wants to wrap their arms around you and tell you, you are home."

Amen.

13-Year Old Slams Donald Trump, Is Hailed a Hero

America"s Got Talent has already showcased a number of impressive acts in 2016.

There was Laura Bretan, a young opera singer with pipes on her that belie her age.

There was Grace VanderWaal, an aspiring artist dubbed by Simon Cowell as "the next Taylor Swift."

And there was Sal Valentinetti, a singer who did justice to the one and only Frank Sinatra during his initial time on stage.

But there"s been no one like Lori Mae Hernandez.

Hernandez is a 13-year old stand-up comedian. That fact alone makes her stand out.

But her story isn"t necessarily a funny one, as she tells the panelists in the clip below that she got into this industry because her dad has Bell"s Palsy and she wanted to help him smile.

The young teenager does end up bringing the funny, however, using an amazing delivery to talk about her lack of qualifications as a baby sitter… and to also deliver the perfect Donald Trump joke.

What does she say?

How does the audience react?

Why should The Donald maybe not count on any votes from this demographic?

Watch, find out and sit back in awe of Lori Mae Hernandez now:

13-Year Old Kanye West Pays Tribute to MLK

Forget Throwback Thursday for a minute.

Kim Kardashian just came up with Remembrance Monday.

Okay, granted. The name needs a lot of work.

But the mother of two shared a pretty cool video on Instagram this week in honor of Martin Luther King Day, hearkening way back in time to when her husband was just 13 years old.

In the following piece of old footage, we see a very young Kanye West reciting a poem about the iconic civil rights leader from his days as a middle school student.

The poem is titled "His Name Means Love."

The video was recorded in 1990 and it gives viewers a glimpse of the rapper"s early confidence, as he speaks passionately in a school assembly celebrating the King"s amazing life.

"Baby Kanye reciting a Martin Luther King poem," the reality TV star captioned the short clip, adding:

"Happy Martin Luther King Day."

We love it.

Who ever would have guessed that this little boy would grow up to be Kanye West?

Then again, considering his dapper appearance and the confidence with which he recites these words, perhaps some in attendance did see fame in the teenager"s future.
