Kim Kardashian to Barack Obama: I Miss You Already!

Kim Kardashian is not ready to let Barack Obama go.

On Friday, around the time that Donald Trump was being sworn in as the 45th President of the United States, the reality star was sharing a handful of throwback photos on her official app/website.

The pictures featured Kim, husband Kanye West, daughter North and a certain now-former Commander-in-Chief, smiling and interacting with members of this famous family.

“”Thank you for leading our country. You will be missed,” Kim wrote as a caption above all the images.

Kardashian met Obama a few times over the years.

She and Kanye attended fundraisers in honor of the President, despite some controversial remarks he made about Kimye back in August of 2013.

Speaking to Amazon employees in Chattanooga, Obama said Kardashian and West had essentially poisoned the American Dream by giving fans unfair expectations to live up to.

At the time, Obama argued that, just a few years prior, “kids weren’t monitoring every day what Kim Kardashian was wearing, or where Kanye West was going on vacation, and thinking that somehow that was the mark of success.”

He explained in more detail:

“There has been a shift in culture. We weren’t exposed to the things we didn’t have in the same way that kids these days are…

“There was not that window into the lifestyles of the rich and famous.”

In other words: Kim and Kanye sent a bad message over the years by talking about their gold toilets and flaunting their wealth so often on social media.

The irony now, of course, is that Kardashian got robbed in October.

The armed assailants who broke into her Paris apartment were inspired to do so by pictures of a $ 4 million ring she had bragged about on Instagram and Twitter.

In her series of social media photos since this incident, Kim has actually been accused of acting poor, as she tries to learn from past mistakes, now aware that there’s a danger to showing off some luxury items in front of millions of people.

So Obama was kind of right back in the day.

Kim, meanwhile, was not the only member of her family to honor Obama on his final day in office.

Khloe Kardashian also used her Instagram account to share a sweet photo of Barack and Michelle Obama, including with it a sweet message.

“I’m asking you to believe. Not in my ability to bring about change — but in yours,” Khloe wrote, quoting the ex-President and adding”

“Terribly sad to see you go but honored I was able to watch firsthand. I hope our history books will do you justice.”

Will you miss Barack Obama as President?

Or are you excited to see what Donald Trump can do in office?

Ellen DeGeneres to Barack Obama: You Changed My Life!

On Wednesday night, Ellen DeGeneres was honored at the 2017 People"s Choice Awards with her record 20th trophy at the event.

Fast forward to the following morning, however, and Ellen was on the set of her talk show, sitting in her regular chair, acting as the one doing the honoring.

And, in the following clip from Ellen, the subject of this honoring was President Barack Obama.

"This is the last day that Barack Obama will be our president," the comedian told her audience.

She then continued, explaining in detail the kind of impact Obama and his wife have had on her journey over the past eight years.

"I want to thank him for changing my life,"the 58-year old said.

"I am a legally married woman because of him and so is my wife. His courage and compassion created equality for everyone. He moved us forward and made more happen in the past eight years than I ever dreamed possible. I love him, I love Michelle."

Back in 2010, DeGeneres said that she she and De Rossi would exchange vows after the ban on same-sex marriage in California was lifted.

In June 2015, the Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage for couples across all 50 states.

Over their years in office, both Obamas made multiple appearances on Ellen, with DeGeneres sharing some of her favorite clips of the couple with her viewers.

Barack Obama Breaks Down Over Wife: Watch! Cry!

Love Barack Obama or really, really, really hate Barack Obama, you must admit one thing about Barack Obama:

He really loves his family.

Like, A LOT.

The President took to the stage in Chicago on Tuesday night to deliver a farewell address that touched on his achievements in office and which also urged listeners not to take Democracy "for granted."

He talked about the need to participate and to make your voices known and to have faith in your fellow man.

But it was a few minutes toward the end of his speech that left folks both buzzing on social media and also crying in front of their television sets.

This was when Obama addressed his wife.

“Michelle – Michelle LaVaughn Robinson, girl of the Southside, for the past 25 years, you’ve been not only my wife and mother of my children, but my best friend,” the President said, fighting back tears as he continued:

"You took on a role you didn’t ask for and made it your own with grace and grit and style and good humor. You made the White House a place that belongs to everybody. And a new generation sets its sights higher because it has you as a role model.

"You’ve made me proud.  You’ve made the country proud."

At this point, Obama broke out a handkerchief and dabbed his eyes. He was reduced from the Commander-in-Chief to simply a husband madly in love with his wife.

Obama went on to also gush over his daughters, along with Vice President Joe Biden, who we"re shocked didn"t dissolve into a literal puddle of tears on the spot.

It was as vulnerable and as human a moment as you"ll ever see from a President of the United States.

Watch him thank and salute Michelle in the following clip:

Ted Cruz: Colin Kaepernick & Barack Obama Are BOTH Disrespectful!

As you’ve probably heard by now, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick refused to stand for the national anthem during a recent preseason NFL game.

The action – which Kaepernick meant as a protest against recent police violence directed at people of color – was commended by some and harshly criticized by others.

Days after articulating his views during a press conference, Kaepernick doubled down on his stance by kneeling during the anthem and announcing plans to donate $ 1 million to charities that assist communities in need.

While visiting China for a G20 summit this week, President Obama addressed the controversy when asked about Kaepernick by reporters:

Several public figures have spoken out against Obama’s comments, many of them going so far as to accuse the president of disrespecting the nation’s flag and military veterans.

Not surprisingly, outspoken Texas senator Ted Cruz is among those who found fault with Obama’s comments.

TMZ caught up with Cruz recently and asked the former presidential hopeful about his own views regarding the Kaepernick controversy.

Cruz had this to say:

“It’s sad when you see rich, spoiled athletes that don’t recognize when incredible blessing this country is,” Cruz said.

“It’s very easy when you’re sitting there rolling in millions of dollars to disrespect this country.”

Cruz went on to get personal – and angry

“I come from it from a different perspective,” Cruz told TMZ.

“My father was imprisoned and tortured in Cuba, and America meant what it’s meant for millions from across the globe. It’s meant opportunity; it’s meant freedom.”

He added:

“And I gotta say, I was disappointed to see President Obama stand with Kaepernick and say, ‘That’s right, disrespect the flag.’

“The president should be standing up for America. The president should be encouraging every America to honor the flag that so many have bled and died for, and to honor the freedom that it stands for.”

Needless to say, it doesn’t look like this controversy will be going away anytime soon.

Several NFL players have joined in Kaepernick’s protest, and his stance is now impacting athletes in other sports.

US soccer player Megan Rapinoe kneeled for the anthem prior to a recent game.

With the NFL season officially kicking off Thursday night, this divisive issue is sure to draw even more attention in the weeks to come.

Kaepernick says it was his intention to help spark a national conversation about race and police violence.

There’s no denying that the quarterback has succeeded in that.

Barack Obama Brings Down the (White) House: His Best Jokes!

Barack Obama will be looking for a job in January.

And while we doubt it"s a possibility, let"s all hope the current Commander-in-Chief considers becoming a stand-up comedian.

Because it"s clear, based on the following jabs n jokes at the 2016 White House Correspondents" Dinner, that the leader of the free world is an expert with his delivery and timing… and material.

(NOTE: Watch the full speech now.)

1. Look Who’s Here!

Look whos here

Kendall Jenner is also here and we had a chance to meet backstage. She seems like a very nice young woman. I’m not exactly sure what she does, but I am told that my Twitter mentions are about to go through the roof.

Eight years ago, I said it was time to change the tone of our politics. In hindsight, I clearly should’ve been more specific.

You might’ve heard that someone jumped the White House fence last week. But I have to give the Secret Service credit. They found Michelle, brought her back. She’s safe back at home now. It’s only nine more months, baby. Settle down!
