The Voice Recap: Who Battled to Victory?
The Battle Rounds on The Voice have always served as a way to amp up the drama on the NBC juggernaut. We love drama, but not at the expense of dreams being dashed.
Most of the singers who make it through the Blind Auditions section of the show are already seasoned singers, so it makes little sense to have them battle it out.
It was night two of the grueling process, and there was not much in the way of shocks. Everyone who should have gotten through did, and that’s about all we could ask for.
Let’s break down the three battles that took place on the show.
Davon Fleming vs. Maharasyi – “I’m Your Baby Tonight”
Maharasyi sprung a leak on the first day of rehearsals and struggled to keep up with Davon who was killing it. Jennifer noted that Davon went with it and proved he had what it took to advance to the next stage.
It was pretty much the same thing during the performance. Davon was a clear frontrunner, but his voice was not as good as it was the first time we heard it. But that was still enough to win over Maharsayi who was sent packing.
Hannah Mrozak vs. Brandon Showell – “Cold Water”
There was something off about Hannah during her rehearsal. She did not seem as into the competition as she should have been. This was the performance that was going to make or break her.
Brandon was decent in the performance, but it was clear he still had a lot of work to do if he wanted to advance to the next stage. Hannah’s performance improved as it went on, while Brandon’s stayed the same and it was not great.
Hannah was saved, while Brandon was sent home.
Mitchell Lee vs. Dennis Drummond – “Mr. Jones”
This battle was always going to be a tough one. They both have very different voices, and that made their performance so delightful to watch. They don’t go together, so they should never duet.
Mitchell was saved by Blake, while Dennis was poached by Adam.
That’s a wrap on Night Two! What did you think about the latest episode?

Adele Surprises Hero Firefighters Who Battled High-Rise Blaze
Adele is one of the most likable celebrities on the planet, and she’s proven that time and time again with acts of goodwill and her fantastic attitude.
Disaster struck the city of London on June 14 when Grenfell Tower, a 24-storey block of flats, went up in flames.
It was a harrowing tale that has left at least 79 people dead or missing and presumed dead.
Firefighters appeared on the scene to tackle the blaze quickly, but it proved to be a difficult task as the fire spread from one end of the building to another.
The firefighters struggled to keep the fire under control because of how quickly it spread.
Part of the reason for that is down to the materials used to refurbish the building a few years back.
In the days that followed, it emerged that the cladding was banned in the U.K. because the materials were highly flammable.
Ever since the fire ripped through the building last week, members of the public and celebrities have been showing up at the scene to help out in any way they can.
Lilly Allen and Rita Ora have been spotted there, and even Adele.
All three of them are from London, so the incident must have hit a little too close to home for them.
The world is a scary place right now, with crazy things going on every single day.
Adele decided to surprise a group of firefighters on Monday and arrived with cake for them to thank them for their efforts in tackling the fire.
This act showed off just how relatable the singing sensation is.
Station manager, Ben King opened up to The Independent about her arrival at the station and what went down.
“So we opened the door to her and then she took her sunglasses off and said, ‘Hi, I’m Adele.’ Everyone was so shocked,” King recalled.
“She came in, came up to the mess and had a cup of tea with the watch and then she joined us for the minute’s silence. We have had so much support for the local community, and we cannot thank everyone enough.”
