Kylie Jenner: Put on BLAST for Ridiculously Expensive Brush Set

Here’s some free advice for Kylie Jenner:

You may want to hurry up and announce your pregnancy to the world.

It will serve as a distraction to another announcement you recently made, one that is not being met with positive reviews from your fans.

Late this week, Jenner’s shockingly successful makeup business alerted the public to a brand new 16-piece brush set that is now on sale.

This Kylie Cosmetic kit – which features a number of sleek-looking brushes – is the third product in the Silver Series set from the popular brand… and is being offered for $ 360.

Yes, $ 360. For a bunch of brushes.

In response to this hilarious/ridiculous figure, fashion blog publisher and fans jumped on social to express their disappointment over the price, prompting Kylie to respond with a tweet of her own on Saturday.

It reads:

“I have developed for you guys the most amazing luxury brushes ever. I am very excited! Real brushes don’t compare to synthetic brushes.

“Different performance/quality/everything. I am 100% down to do an entire synthetic line in the future which will ultimately be cheaper.”

She added:

“I always fight for the lowest price on all my products. Here are some other real brush lines for reference…”

And she’s right: there’s one set in the above-referenced collection that retails for $ 650.

Jenner went on to acknowledge the criticism, telling followers: 

“I hear you guys, love you guys and truly just want the best.”

Whatever Kylie is doing at her company, it’s clearly working.

A somewhat recent report valued Kylie Cosmetics at $ 1 billion, which is just… it’s totally and completely and utterly insane.

What started as a simple lip gloss kit has blossomed, in just a couple of years, into a global empire.

Still, that doesn’t mean everyone was satisfied with Kylie’s explanation or the price of these brushes.

“Thanks but I’ll buy food with that money instead,” wrote one Internet user, while another added:

“Sorry girl but that’s just waaaay to expensive! There are so many other brands that make quality brushes for affordable prices.”

Others said they were worried about with whether or not the brushes were cruelty-free and asked what type of hair was used in the brushes.

This is serious business, apparently, this makeup stuff.

Women do NOT mess around when it comes to their products.

And despite its financial success, Kylie Cosmetics has not received high grades from the Better Business Bureau.

“All I’m saying is if you wanna charge luxury prices, provide luxury quality,” wrote one critic.

It’s hard to argue with that point, isn’t it?

Maddie Brown and Caleb Brush: We"re Having A…

Finally.

The Browns can celebrate some exciting news.

As has been well documented over the past several weeks, all is not exactly calm and cool between loved ones on Sister Wives.

There has been talk that Kody Brown is either splitting from wife Robyn or wife Meri or even that all four Sister Wives are ready to just up and leave the father of their children.

Ugly rumors have been running rampant, but Maddie Brown and Caleb Brush are here with a bit of exciting news for those who follow this TLC series:

They’re having a baby!

Sorry, you probably knew that already.

Let’s try this again: they’re having a baby BOY!

The couple learned the sex of their impending child during a gender reveal party on Monday and then shared the answer with Us Weekly.

“We are both super excited for our little boy,” Maddie and Caleb have told the tabloid. “Although we had a good hunch that it was a boy, it’s nice to finally know, so we can start preparing!”

According to Us Weekly, the reality stars hosted about 30 close friends and loved ones at Christine Brown’s residence in Las Vegas this week.

The attendees then played a game in which they cut out mustaches or hair bows from paper and actually donned the accessories themselves.

They were also given blue and pink balloons, but only the blue ones could inflate.

Maddie – the daughter of Kody and his second wife, Janelle – is 21 years old.

She made her pregnancy announcement on November 21, sharing an Instagram photo at the time of her husband kissing her baby bump, writing as a caption;

“So happy to announce our little addition!”

The two were married in a beautiful, intimate outdoor ceremony back in June in Montana.

Last month, Maddie posted an image of the expecting parents at Yellowstone National Park.

“Six months being married to you has been more than a fairy tale come true. You truly are my best friend and soul mate! I look forward to the years to come!” she wrote as a caption.

AWWW, right?

It’s been a turbulent time for the Browns of late.

As those who watch Sister Wives online know very well, Maddie’s half-sister, Mariah, stunned her family by coming out of the closet a couple episodes ago.

She stood in front of her dad and other relatives and announced she is gay.

And while Kody was surprised at the news initially, expressing a few reservations and asking a few questions, he did eventually come around.

“A surprise to me. Required some deep thought,” Kody Tweeted of the reveal on Sunday night, adding over the course of a couple more messages:

“After checking to see if she was sure, I just needed her to know she was safe…

“God has prepared my heart and mind for 15 years. Now @mariahlian can feel safe being openly gay with our family.”

That’s pretty impressive for a Mormon to write.

We’re not judging the religion, we’re just noting that many people who practice is are not accepting of the gay lifestyle, based on how they were raised.

But that’s another story.

For now, let us just say…. congratulations to Maddie and Caleb!

After a six-month engagement, Sister Wives star Maddie Brown married Caleb Brush over the weekend.

Maddie"s dad, Kody Brown, officiated the wedding, which took place in Bozeman, Montana.

Her mom Janelle, one of Kody"s four wives, was also in attendance with the rest of the family.

Maddie wore a traditional white strapless wedding gown while Caleb wore khakis.

Yes, he wore khakis to his own wedding.

"I can cut a rug on a dance floor in khakis better than a monkey suit," he told Us Weekly.

Listen, I could certainly dance more effectively barefoot and in biker shorts, but that doesn"t mean it"s appropriate for a wedding.

But Maddie didn"t seem bothered, so no biggie.

We saw Maddie announce her engagement on the reality show during its season premiere last month.

"I"m pretty excited," the bride told Us. "It doesn"t feel real."

The couple posted the video below to the Sister Wives Facebook page, shot just after the rehearsal dinner.

In the vid, they thank fans for support and all the marriage advice.

Advice like, perhaps, please oh please don"t bring other women into your marriage like your mom and dad did?

At this point, it seems Maddie and Caleb don"t plan to go that route.

“I’m not one to live plural marriage,” she said during a TLC special last November.

Apparently, Maddie took one look at the crackpot life of her father with his multiple wives and 17 kids between them and said, NOPE, not for me.

Good thing, because a court recently denied Kody"s request to decriminalize polygamy in the state of Utah.
