Kailyn Lowry: Jo Rivera Is Trying to Screw Me In Court!

Kailyn Lowry"s roller-coaster relationships with her three baby daddies might make for compelling viewing on Teen Mom 2, but we"re sure the mother of three would prefer much more drama-free co-parenting relationships.

Typically, it"s Chris Lopez or Javi Marroquin who gives Kail a hard time, but these days, it"s her OG baby daddy, Jo Rivera, that"s making her life more difficult.

The news comes as a shock, as Kail and Chris have typically been able to sort out their differences over the years.

But as Kail confirmed on the latest episode of her podcast, that is definitely no longer the case.

Take a look:

1. What Happened?

Jo is Kail’s first baby daddy, and for years, the two of them peacefully co-parented 8-yesr-old Isaac.

2. Ups and Downs

Sure, there have been some rough patches over the years, but until recently, it looked as though Kail and Jo would be able to set aside their differences for the sake of their son.

3. Making It Work

Kail even attended Jo’s wedding — and happily posed for pic with the bride — when he married Vee Torres earlier this year.

4. Money Matters

But as is so often the case with this sort of thing, Jo and Kail’s relationship broke down over money.

5. Kail’s Cash

According to comments Kail made on her recent Coffee Convos podcast, Jo is coming after her cash in a big way.

6. A Tricky Situation

Opening up to co-host Lindsie Chrisley, Kail revealed that she was stunned when Jo recently filed a petition requesting child support.

Naya Rivera: Domestic Battery Charges Dropped!

It was only last October when Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey’s divorce was called off. Things looked bright for the couple.

Fast forward less than two months, and Naya got arrested after allegedly hitting her husband — in front of their young son, no less.

But it looks like Naya has somehow managed to get out of the domestic battery charges.

Naya Rivera was once a celebrated Glee star.

She also wrote a book and spoke up about her experience with having an abortion.

While no medical procedure is anybody’s business, it was good that she chose to share her story, because every time that someone speaks up, it helps to ease society’s stigma about abortion.

Compared to some of her fellow Glee stars, after Corey Monteith’s tragic death and Mark Salling pleading guilty for child porn, she was doing pretty well just living her best life for a while there.

And then she went and got herself arrested.

Late last November (it was the wee hours of Saturday night, in fact), news broke that Naya Rivera had been arrested for domestic battery.

Reportedly, she and Ryan Dorsey were out on a walk with their two-year-old son, Josey. Apparently, during an argument about their son, Naya struck her husband more than once.

Enough that police could see signs of the alleged strikes later, which included a busted lip, Ryan declined medical attention.

(Domestic violence is still domestic violence when a woman does it, folks)

Ryan called the police, who arrested and charged Naya before releasing her. She was picked up from the police station by her father-in-law, which sounds awkward as hell.

Though Ryan Dorsey and Naya Rivera asked for privacy, there were further reports.

Among them, a claim that police believe that Naya was intoxicated when the alleged violence took place.

Additionally, Ryan Dorsey’s 911 call described Naya as “out of control.”

On its own, that’s all very worrisome and inexcusable. The fact that it took place in front of their son makes it even worse.

Suffice it to say that the couple’s divorce is back on.

However, TMZ reports that Naya Rivera’s domestic battery charge has been dropped.

Prosecutors say that it was Ryan Dorsey who was ultimately unwilling to go through with pressing charges.

We don’t know if this was part of a deal for their divorce (over alimony or custody or whatever).

Last month, Ryan and Naya agreed that they would share custody of Josey.

This isn’t the same as reconciliation, but some are concerned about Naya’s allegedly violent behavior. They wonder what happens the next time that she gets “out of control.”

It sounded like Big Sean suggested that Naya Rivera’s behavior isn’t unprecedented.

As always, what’s most important is Josey’s safety and well-being. We hope that whatever Ryan and Naya work out, it’s in Josey’s best interests.

But … it’s never a good feeling to see an accused domestic batterer face zero legal consequences for their alleged violence.

Geraldo Rivera Defends Matt Lauer, Gets Accused of Groping Bette Midler

Yesterday, NBC announced to the world that Matt Lauer had been fired for sexual misconduct. As the day went on, we learned details of Lauer"s alleged sex toy "gifts," pants-dropping, and luring young NBC employees to his room on work trips.

Geraldo Rivera took to Twitter to leap to Lauer"s defense, calling the news a "flirty business" and questioning if the accusers were just vengeful.

He apologized … but not before video (below) resurfaced of Bette Midler describing Rivera drugging and groping her during the "70s.

Matt lauer geraldo rivera bette midler splitGeraldo rivera hair out of place

Matt Lauer has been a big name in television news for decades. He projected the image of being a fun and slightly awkward dad, which most people find disarming and even endearing.

Unfortunately, public image so often does not reflect who someone really is.

We heard stories about workplace harassment. Accusations that Lauer gave one female colleague the unsolicited "gift" of a sex toy, along with a note describing how he"d like to use it on her.

Allegations that he dropped his pants while alone with a woman, and later chastised her for being repulsed instead of performing a sex act with him.

We heard about his creepy desk button that remotely locks his door. If a stern "knock first" isn"t enough to keep your office as private as you"d like, you are doing things that are not work-related.

There were also stories of a pattern of harassing behavior, particularly on trips for NBC. Allegations that he would find ambitious young women who work for NBC and either invite or lure them to his hotel room.

And Matt Lauer has now been accused of rape. Every part of this is serious.

Geraldo Rivera, who surprises no one by defending creepiness, tweeted out his support for Lauer:

"Sad about @MLauer great guy, highly skilled & empathetic w guests & a real gentleman to my family & me. News is a flirty business & it seems like current epidemic of #SexHarassmentAllegations may be criminalizing courtship & conflating it w predation. What about #GarrisonKeillor?"

The "news is a flirty business" line raised a lot of people"s hackles.

And he refers to Garrison Keillor being fired for sexual misconduct. Interesting that Rivera seems willing to defend Keillor when Keillor himself isn"t arguing with his termination.

Geraldo rivera in sunglasses

In light of further details about Lauer that have come out, Geraldo"s tweet has not aged well.

And neither have the tweets that followed:

"A jerk"s a jerk in dating. #SexHarassment should be confined to situations where superior imposes himself on subordinate who feels unable to complain because of power of perp or feared consequences to victim"s employment. Shouldn"t be used to get even w bad bosses or hated ex"s."

We"re sure that a lot of men would love for sexual harassment to have a narrow definition. Similarly, thieves would love for stealing to stop being a crime on Tuesdays. That"s not how this works.

And, as you saw, he seems to be implying that Lauer"s accusers are just being vengeful.

"Heard well-regarded women in media today suggesting morning shows go to an all-female format. That should be as unacceptably retro as the other way around."

One, there have been countless all-male panels and all-male morning shows and all-male Supreme Courts and all-male Congresses. So no, suggesting that an all-woman one might be good is not sexist.

You"d need centuries or millennia of female supremacy for the books to even be balanced. That"s not what anyone wants — they just want a safe working environment.

Geraldo gets even worse, and alleges that, basically, women should come forward immediately (and face retaliation, lawsuits, and ruined careers) or … just keep quiet, apparently.

"#SexHarassment allegations should require: 1-made in a timely fashion-say w/n 5 yrs. 2-some contemporaneous corroboration, like witnesses, electronic or written communications. W $ settlements in multi-millions slight chance exists some victims are motivated by more than justice."

The classic "financial gain" argument.

"This issue is so red hot right now there is no room for any thought or opinion but hang em high. If News wasn’t (formerly) a flirty biz then how do we explain so many newsroom courtships that have led to happy marriages?"

Ignoring for a moment how dumb that is, Matt Lauer was already married. How wives is one television host supposed to have?

Geraldo rivera picture

As you can imagine,t hat didn"t go over well.

Geraldo actually listened to the responses to his tweets, which was reflected in his apology:

"Reaction to my tweets today on #sexharassment makes clear I didn"t sufficiently explain that this is a horrendous problem, long hidden-Harassers are deviants who deserve what is coming, to them-Often victims are too frightened to come forward in a timely fashion-I humbly apologize."

And that"s honestly a good apology.

(It"s honestly better than Matt Lauer"s apology, which was intensely bland)

However, Geraldo"s apology came after an old video of Bette Midler being interviewed by Barbara Walters made the rounds on Twitter.

In it, Bette describes being drugged and groped by Geraldo Rivera during the 1970s.

Geraldo rivera image

Keep in mind that, way back in 1991, people talked about sexual assault very differently, unfortunately. And that even extended to the victims.

Bette describes:

"Geraldo and his producer came to do an interview with me, in the ‘70s, in the early ‘70s. This was when he was very hot. He and his producer left the crew in the other room, they pushed me into my bathroom, they pushed two poppers under my nose, and proceeded to grope me."

Though Bette doesn"t quite sound like she"s speaking of this as being as serious as it sounds, she does make it clear that this was not consensual:

"I did not offer myself up on the altar of Geraldo Rivera. He was unseemly."

That is a massive understatement.

Neither Bette nor Geraldo have tweeted about this video yet, but here it is. It"s tough to watch:

Ryan Dorsey & Naya Rivera: STOP Asking About Naya"s Arrest!

Over Thanksgiving weekend, Naya Rivera was charged with domestic battery after an incident in which she reportedly struck her husband, Ryan Dorsey, on the head and lip.

While that’s troubling for the couple and their child, it’s also been disturbing to fans of Naya and of the couple, for obvious reasons.

Finally, Ryan Dorsey is making a statement.

So, at about 9:30 in the evening on Saturday night, Naya Rivera and her husband, Ryan Dorsey, were taking their two-year-old son, Josey, out for a walk.

Reportedly, they got into some sort of argument about Josey — which you usually shouldn’t do in front of your kid to begin with.

It was then that Naya allegedly struck her husband, on the head and on his lip. Again, this was apparently in front of their child.

We don’t know the extent of the attack, but Ryan apparently presented cell phone video of it to police, and they could see evidence of it on his face.

Naya was charged a little after midnight with domestic battery.

This was a crushing disappointment to many of her fans — a number of whom immediately stopped counting themselves as such. Domestic battery is no laughing matter.

(Even though Naya’s former fiance Big Sean trolled her about it on Twitter, which was opportunistic and arguably not entirely tasteful)

We later learned that none of Ryan Dorsey’s injuries were sufficient for him to require medical attention, and that apparently alcohol was involved (though that’s not an excuse).

But the world has wanted to hear what the couple has to say about what happened.

Ryan is speaking out first.

Taking to Twitter, Ryan Dorsey shared a heartfelt message that must have been challenging to compose:

“This is a difficult time for everyone in the family especially for Naya and I.”

That should read Naya and me, but it’s Twitter and we don’t think that his big focus was on grammar.

“This isn’t some reality show, this is our life.”

Sometimes, you just need to state the obvious.

“I ask that everyone especially ‘the media’ respect our privacy and treat us/this situation how you would want a loved one to be treated.”

(That’s going to mean different things to different people; plenty of folks would want 100% scrutiny on a couple where one partner hit the other, especially in front of their child)

Ryan Dorsey has some suggestions for how he imagines that people would want their loved ones to be treated:

“Perhaps with kindness, respect, without judgment, and as negative a situation this is, with positivity and love.”

He then signs it:

“Thanks, RD.”

Normally, we’d be 100% on board with his request for privacy.

First of all, he’s the victim in this situation.

Second of all, there’s a line where even public figures have a right to privacy. Particularly where things concern their children and their home life.

But when there’s an alleged crime involved — particularly one as serious as domestic battery.

Right now, we don’t know if Ryan is going to try to work things out or if their divorce that was called off is back on.

That post might indicate that they’re going to attempt to stay together, but they may still be deciding.

It might be easy for some to look at this couple and say “well, he’s not really injured, so how bad can it be?”

Partner abuse inflicted by women upon men is real and it’s serious.

While it’s true that society often makes it difficult for a woman to escape from abuse, a lot of those same social pressures make men ashamed to report being abused by a woman.

Now, maybe there’s a lot that we don’t know about their situation, but some find it troubling that Ryan Dorsey is asking people to back off when he could be bringing more attention to this issue.

We would counter that he is the alleged victim and, again, we don’t know as much about this situation as he does.

We should let the story unfold, okay?

Naya Rivera: Trolled By Big Sean After Arrest?

Naya Rivera has been accused of injuring husband Ryan Dorsey.

And now Naya Rivera’s ex-fiance has very likely added insult to that incident.

On Saturday night, Rivera was arrested on charges of domestic violence.

According to official accounts, a deputy responded to a domestic violence complaint in Chesapeake, West Virginia, which is where Rivera and Dorsey reside.

The actor claimed to the responding officer that his wife struck him in the head and face.

He suffered minor injuries consistent with his claims… and even showed authorities a video taken during the alleged altercation.

“While we will not release details of the incident beyond what is in the criminal complaint (charging document), we will say the two were arguing over their child,” Sgt. B.D. Humphreys of the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office explained to People Magazine.

Dorsey “did not require medical attention,” Humphreys added.

As if the arrest were not embarrassing enough for Rivera, it appears as if Big Sean went ahead and hurled some shade in Rivera’s direction over Twitter.

Just before midnight on Saturday, the 29-year old rapper Tweeted a video of a little girl emphatically saying:

“I told y’all n—–. I told y’all n—–. Y’all thought I was playing, but I told y’all n—–.”

Big Sean and Rivera got together in the spring of of 2013 and the announced their engagement just six months later.

However, Big Sean broke off the engagement in April of 2014.

We don’t know why, exactly, but Rivera has said she learned of the break-up over the Internet. Ouch.

Rivera and Dorsey, meanwhile, also have an interesting dating history.

The former Glee cheerleader filed to divorce her husband in November of last year, less than a year after the couple welcomed a child into the world.

But Rivera then called off the divorce several months later.

After posting the video on Twitter, fans flooded Big Sean’s timeline with a mixture of reactions.

To wit:

sean reaction

Rivera opened up to People Magazine last month about reconciling with Dorsey, telling the publication:

“It is what it is, but I’m glad that my family is together.”

The actress has tried to keep details of her private life private, but incidents such as this have forced them to be made public.

For the sake of her child, we hope she and Dorsey figure things out.

Naya Rivera Charged with Domestic Battery of Ryan Dorsey

We all know that Mark Salling faces prison time, but he"s not the only Glee star in trouble with the law.

Naya Rivera has been charged with domestic battery against her husband, Ryan Dorsey.

And the alleged incident occurred in the presence of the couple"s child.

Naya rivera charged with domestic battery

Almost two months ago, we told you to pop your "congratulations on your divorce!" balloons and to go ahead and eat your celebratory divorce cake, if you"d had them ready.

Because Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey had called off their divorce.

Naya and Ryan have a young son, Josey Hollis Dorsey.

The couple had been in the process of disentangling after two years of marriage, but sometimes, couples work things out.

Sometimes, partners try to work through their differences for their child"s sake.

However, sometimes trying to make things work — for yourselves or for a child or both — end up just making things worse.

And, well, it looks like things have gotten much worse.

Ryan dorsey and naya rivera in happier times

Local news station WSAZ-TV reports that Naya Rivera has been charged with domestic battery after an alleged assault against husband Ryan Dorsey.

She was arrested at home on Saturday evening, at around 9:30pm in Kanawha County, West Virginia.

Ryan Dorsey told deputies that Naya had struck him in the head and lip while the couple was taking their son, Josey, on a walk down the street.

Domestic violence is always a serious situation folks, but this allegation is that it took place in front of their child. That is much worse.

And though we don"t know the circumstances that led to this, it"s reported that Dorsey presented cell phone video to the police that featured Naya"s battery against him.

Ryan dorsey son fathers day 2016

Naya Rivera was charged after midnight (so, technically, on Sunday morning).

Her bond was set at $ 1000 at first, but upon review of the evidence and a review of her criminal history, Naya was released on PR bond — personal recognizance.

Reportedly, it was her father-in-law, of all people, who picked her up afterwards.

We cannot imagine what sort of conversation they must have had on that car ride.

And we still have no knowledge of what brought about this incident of alleged domestic battery.

But domestic violence is very serious. Unless Naya was somehow defending herself or someone else, which no one has suggested so far, we can"t imagine any sort of justification.

And, again, this was reportedly in the presence of their young child.

Witnessing a domestic assault can be traumatic for children.

Ryan dorsey and naya rivera photo

This news comes as a crushing disappointment, and not just for fans of Naya Rivera"s acting roles.

In the past, Naya Rivera revealed that she"d had an abortion and she also detailed her eating disorder. That took a lot of bravery.

A lot of people liked that she was willing to share those parts of her story with the world.

But there"s nothing inspirational or educational about an accusation of domestic battery.

Naya"s hardly the first celebrity to disappoint us this month, but it"s never good to learn that someone — famous or otherwise — isn"t who you thought they were.

Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey: Reconciling, Not Divorcing!

Remember last November, when Naya Rivera filed for divorce from Ryan Dorsey?

Well, pop those “congrats on your divorce” balloons and find a discreet way to eat that celebratory divorce cake, because it sounds like this divorce has been officially canceled.

Who ever heard of an on-again, off-again marriage?

We’re kidding — they happen all of the time. Especially, for some reason, among celebrities.

But first, let’s remember how they got to where they are.

Naya Rivera dated Ryan Dorsey for quite a while before she starred on Glee.

Despite the two having been so close for so long, Naya Rivera broke things off with Ryan after she became famous.

In her memoir, Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, and Growing Up, Naya also revealed that she discovered, post-breakup, that Ryan had gotten her pregnant.

Naya shared that she had chosen to get an abortion at that time, and has since been praised for being open and honest about abortion when the majority of the many millions of American women who receive abortions each year are shamed into silence by cultural conservatives.

Naya and Ryan would get back together again, four years after their 2010 breakup.

In Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in 2014, Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey got married.

This came as quite a shock, as not only was it a surprise wedding, but it came only three months following Naya’s breakup from Big Sean.

(It’s almost cute that that was shocking at the time — now it’s 2017 and Kylie Jenner wound up pregnant just a month after she started dating Travis Scott as a rebound after ending her lengthy relationship with Tyga. A wedding after three months somehow seems less dramatic, now)

Normally, she might have been accused of infidelity leading up to her reconciliation with Ryan Dorsey.

But infidelity was allegedly more Big Sean’s department. And it was Big Sean who broke off their engagement … which Naya reportedly learned about through his publicist.

(Yikes)

But, again, Naya and Ryan had been together for years before. So it might not be accurate to describe her reunion with Ryan as a rebound.

Sometimes it takes being with the wrong person to realize who was right for you all along.

Or not-so-right, as it turns out.

Though Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey had welcome their first child into the world in late September of 2015, the couple called it quits late in 2016.

It was November, not quite two months after their baby Josey Hollis Dorsey’s first birthday, that Naya Rivera filed for divorce.

The divorce seemed to be reasonably amicable at the time.

Though Naya was seeking primary physical custody of their child, a public statement indicated that they planned on co-parenting Josey and they seemed, you know, pretty civil.

Keep in mind that a lot of divorces are filled with hyperbole, vitriol, and outright lies.

Others are filled with horrifying accusations that could curdle your stomach.

As, we imagine, would have been the case if Naya Rivera had continued dating Mark Salling before his arrest for child porn.

Naya’s statement about Mark Salling at the time of his arrest was, uh, ill-advised and left a lot of people scratching their heads.

But, honestly, who in the world actually knows what to say in a situation like that?

Anyway, Gossip Cop reports that Naya Rivera has filed a motion to dismiss her petition for divorce.

It appears that she’s calling off the whole divorce altogether.

We certainly hope that this means that Naya and Ryan are reconciling.

They always seemed like a good fit, and now there’s hope on the horizon. Again.

Kailyn Lowry: Jo Rivera is Trying to Take My Son Away from Me!

Kailyn Lowry has sure found a great recipe for drama, hasn’t she?

Have three children with three different men, end any romantic relationships with all of those men, and then watch the sparks fly!

It’s really been working out well for her — at least in that she’s been able to provide plenty of material for two different reality shows.

(And it could be three shows soon, if MTV would give her that spin-off she deserves already!)

Lately, her third baby daddy, Chris Lopez, has been in the spotlight, which makes sense.

Their son is just six weeks old, and already they’ve been able to provide enough drama to last a lifetime.

Are they dating? Are they not? Is he even seeing his son? Is he trying to get full custody? What’s happening?!

On top of that, Kailyn’s relationship with her ex-husband and second baby daddy, Javi Marroquin, hasn’t been disappointing either.

She’s filed an order of protection against him, accused him of threatening her, and soon they’ll be featured on the new season of Marriage Boot Camp.

Things have been so bad with Chris and Javi that we always imagined Kailyn was really thankful for her easy-going relationship with her first baby daddy, Jo Rivera.

But as we saw in last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2, things aren’t as good between them as we previously believed.

Kailyn and Javi share seven-year-old Isaac, and they’ve been able to successfully co-parent for a while now.

They’ve developed a friendship, and he seems to be there for her when she needs him. It’s been sweet to see.

But as she discussed last night, Jo recently made the decision to make the custody agreement for Isaac more official by way of going to the court and asking for 50/50 custody.

“I lost it,” Kailyn told a friend. “Like, I shouldn’t have lost my temper, but I was so furious.”

“When Jo told me that he was filling for 50/50, he brought up, like, a mock-up paper. This came out of nowhere. I thought we’ve been fine, that’s what I thought.”

She also took issue with Jo’s timing — when this was filmed, she was six months pregnant with Baby Lo.

“It’s not like I have any reason to not let him see Isaac,” she complained.

“I don’t know if we’re going to get a court date … because I really don’t want to give him 50/50.”

As for Jo, he told a producer that during that difficult conversation, Kailyn told him “I don’t know what is up with you and Javi, you guys are trying to take my kids from me.”

(Javi already has 50/50 custody of his son with Kailyn, Lincoln.)

Jo said that her behavior was “very over dramatic,” and that “I went straight to my lawyers office, told him to sign the papers and file it.”

Despite that move, he expressed his wishes “that she comes to her f-cking sense before it comes to that. And that she comes and talks to me.”

Yeah, sorry, Jo. That’s not very likely.

The thing is though that of course Jo deserves 50/50 custody of Isaac.

He’s a great father, and he and his longtime fiancée, Vee, have a daughter of their own, and Isaac should spend lots of time with his sister, just like he spends time with his little brothers.

And we know that while Jo and Kailyn don’t have anything official set up in regards to custody, Isaac already does spend a good amount of time with his dad.

So what’s the harm in making things formal?

Last season, we saw Vee urging Jo to go to court and get an actual custody arrangement, but he was hesitant to do so because his relationship with Kailyn was going so well, and he didn’t want to rock the boat.

If we had to guess, we imagine that seeing how messy things have gotten with Chris and Javi inspired Jo to make their custody arrangement official, just in case she decided to turn on him, too.

And in that case, good for him, right?
