Maddie Ziegler: I"m So Glad I"m Not on Dance Moms Anymore!
Hasn’t Dance Moms always been the most delightful show, a lovely little showcase of the incredible talents of the girls who’ve spent to much time and effort perfecting the art of dance?
Ha ha, just kidding — there’s some dancing, of course, but when one thinks of Dance Moms, one thinks of Abby Lee Miller.
And when one thinks of Abby Lee Miller … well, nothing good happens.
For years, the show featured Abby berating young girls and their mothers as she teaches them a variety of dance routines.
It’s usually been about drama just as much as it’s been about dancing.
Things could change now that Abby’s off to prison and Cheryl Burke is stepping in as the head coach, but we’ll have to wait to see.
And Maddie Ziegler, the show’s biggest star, will have to wait to see too — she quit Dance Moms last year.
Things are definitely looking up for her: she’s got two movies coming out this year, and who knows when she could do some more work with Sia.
She’s already an author at just 14 years old, and if all else fails, she’s always got some killer dance moves to fall back on.
But even if her big career plans don’t work out, it sounds like she’s just glad to be done with the nightmare that was Dance Moms.
In a new interview with Seventeen, Maddie says that “The show was a really stressful time.”
It was stressful to watch as an adult, so yeah, we’d imagine being a kid living through it all was considerably worse.
“I just didn’t want to deal with all the drama anymore,” she explains. “I’m happy I moved on. I get to step out and do my own thing and be myself.”
“But I am thankful for the experience, and I miss dancing with the girls.”
If she sounds grounded for a 14-year-old who’s already experienced pretty massive levels of fame, that’s because she is.
“I’m still just a teenager, she says. “I get so caught up in what I’m doing that my friends and family sometimes have to remind me that what I’m doing is cool.”
“I never imagined this.”
While Maddie is obviously very appreciative of all the opportunities she’s had so far, she also unfortunately has to deal with haters.
And nobody likes a hater.
“I try to stay away from online comments,” she admits. “Why should I bother reading something from someone who has nothing better to do than try to make people feel smaller, so they can feel bigger?”
“It’s not OK.”
Doesn’t she just sound like the greatest kid? Like she escaped from the claws of Abby Lee Miller just in the nick of time?
Thank goodness for that.

Maddie Brown on Two-Week-Old Son: Stop Growing Up So Fast!
Maddie Brown gave birth to her first child just over two weeks ago now, and she now realizes just how quickly they grow up.
Maddie and husband, Caleb Brush named their little bundle of joy Axel James, and appear to be happier than ever as they take some of the cutest pictures on Instagram.
It’s certainly refreshing to have some news from the Sister Wives family that does not lean heavily on Robyn apparently leaving Kody.
Would Sister Wives ever be the same if she were to just up and leave? We think not.
Anyway, back to the cute pictures of Axel James Brush.
The above picture showed off Axel’s smile, but Maddie seemed conflicted about her son growing up quickly in the caption.
“This little stud is two weeks old today. I’m torn between wanting to watch him grow and wanting him to stay small forever. #AxelJames #BabyBoy #motherhood #Twoweeks.”
Now, all parents worry about their children growing up too fast, but babies have a knack for becoming toddlers very quickly, so we can see where Maddie is coming from.
Maddie unveiled another picture of her son laughing with his eyes closed.
She was quick to point out that she did not want to be that mom who posts lots of pictures of her child.
“I am that mom I swore I wouldn’t be, posting tons of pictures of this handsome boy. How could I not though!? #AxelJames #motherhood #BabyBoy.”
Something tells us she’s going to be sharing a whole lot more pictures of her son in the future. It’s natural for a parent to want to show their little cherub off to the world.
Maddie and Caleb married in 2016 in a Bohemian inspired wedding.
Unlike Maddie’s parents, she will be living a monogamous lifestyle with Caleb.

Maddie Brown Welcomes First Child! See the Photo!
Finally, some good news for the Sister Wives family.
Correction: finally, some GREAT news for the Sister Wives family!
With negative chatter continuing to surround this reality TV family (is Robyn really leaving Kody?!?), Maddie Brown has come out and given her loved ones something to celebrate for a change.
Actually, to be more accurate, someone else has come out and given her loved ones something to celebrate for a change.
And that someone is a baby!!!!!!
Maddie and husband Caleb Brush welcomed their first child into the world on Saturday, May 20, providing fans shortly afterward with the following details:
– It’s a boy.
– He was born at 12:13 a.m.
– He weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces.
– He measured 21 inches in length.
– And his name is Axel James Brush.
How precious, right?!?
“We’re feeling both excited and exhausted at the same time,” the couple told People Magazine, adding:
“We’re looking forward to having a family. Now that he’s here, we’re excited to grow our family a little bit more and spread our love even more.”
Maddie linked to her interview with People on Instagram and included the above photo of her son just a few hours ago, writing as a simple caption at the time:
Welcome to the world Axel James Brush.
The adorable baby marks the very first grandchild for Kody and Janelle Brown, who star on the aforementioned TLC reality series and who also spoke to People about little Axel.
“I think being grandparents hasn’t sunk in yet,” said. “It’s so fun. I can’t believe how much we love this baby already.”
The Browns, of course, are an unusual family; Kody is married to four different women and has 18 kids overall.
This has led to a lot of controversy over the years, but it also means Maddie will have quite the support system.
If it really does take a village to raise a child, she’ll be fortunate enough to rely on her very own city.
“The whole family is excited,” Kody and Janelle say. “In fact, the biggest trick will be giving Maddie her rest because there’s going to be this long line of parents and siblings that will be continuously wanting to hold the baby.”
Maddie and Caleb got married in Montana in June of last year and then announced their pregnancy.
Said the 21-year old mother-to-be at the time:
“We are both really excited and anxious. I think every soon-to-be parent is anxious, but we have so much support from both sides of our family.
Talking to People back then as well, Maddie tried to predict what sort of parents she and Caleb will be.
“I think I’ll be the disciplinarian parent just because Caleb already has such a soft spot for the baby,” she explained. “He already has so much love for the baby.
In January, meanwhile, Maddie and Caleb shared a photo of themselves surrounded by blue balloons, confirming that a boy was on the way.
“Little baby boy Brush! We can’t wait to meet you!!” Maddie wrote to her Instagram followers at the time.
Throughout the pregnancy, Maddie has kept fans apprised of the state of her baby bump, while also gushing over her husband.
Take this social media entry in honor of her six-month anniversary, for example:
“Six months being married to you has been more than a fairy tale come true,” she captioned a picture taken at Yellowstone National Park, adding:
“You truly are my best friend and soul mate! I look forward to the years to come!”

Maddie Brown Baby Bump Watch: It"s HUGE!
While one family on Sister Wives may be falling apart, another family is about to increase in size by 33.3%.
And, based on the latest Maddie Brown photo, it looks like this may happen at any second.
The daughter of Kody Brown and wife Janelle, Maddie updated her Instagram account over the weekend with a look at her growing baby bump.
And it’s hard not to wonder just how much bigger it will get!
“I feel like I’m 80% belly! But we can’t wait to meet this little man!” the 21-year-old captioned the cute picture below, adding the hashtags “#Pregnancy,” and “#BabyBoy” to her post.
Brown and Brush got married in June of last year, exchanging vows in Bozeman, Montana in front of the former’s many loved ones.
They confirmed the gender of their impending child in January.
“We are both super excited for our little boy,” Maddie and Caleb told Us Weekly at the time, adding:
“Although we had a good hunch that it was a boy, it’s nice to finally know, so we can start preparing!”
That really is quite the baby bump, isn’t it?
Maddie’s exciting news comes at a time when her family could really use a distraction.
For several months now, there’s been chatter about Kody and various Sister Wives, with talk growing stronger and stronger that at least one split was imminent.
In December, for example, we were led to believe that Kody and Robyn were over and that Robyn was on her way back to Utah, in desperate need of a break from Kody and the chaos that surrounds his life.
Reportedly, Kody’s worries about the family’s legal entanglements and an utter lack of privacy led to a suffocating sense of paranoia in the Brown home.
And, consequently, led to Robyn’s decision.
“There were a lot of communication issues and a lot of fighting,” a source told Radar Online in December. “Kody is really bad at handling stressful situations.”
Just a few weeks prior to this rumor, fans also wondered about the status of Kody and Meri Brown, the latter of whom got herself into an embarrassing catfishing situation early last year.
Issues for these two have gone back a very long time; they stem from Meri’s jealousy of Kody’s other wives and also from her unfortunate inability to get pregnant.
It didn’t help that Meri fell for a guy last spring who turned out to be a woman playing an awful prank on her.
This is all a long, paragraph-filled way of saying that Maddie’s pregnancy has arrived at just the right time for the Browns.
They could really use the blessing of new life right about now.
Not only does this baby mark Maddie and Caleb’s very first… it also marks the first grandchild in the entire Brown family.
The polygamous unit stars in its own hit TLC reality series, which is centered around Maddie’s father Kody Brown and his four wives: Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn.
Kody has 18 total children altogether with his wives.
No word yet on what Maddie and Caleb will name their kid.
But he is due in about right weeks, right around the time we think Beyonce is due with her twins.
“We are both really excited and anxious,” Maddie told People Magazine last fall, adding:
“I think every soon-to-be parent is anxious, but we have so much support from both sides of our family.”

Maddie Ziegler Slams Abby Lee Miller in New Tell-All!
Maddie Ziegler has grown up so much, hasn’t she?
It seems like just yesterday that she was a tiny little girl, dancing her heart out on Dance Moms, but that was then, and this is now.
And now she’s 14 years old — and she’s already releasing a memoir!
Her book, titled The Maddie Diaries: A Memoir, was just released yesterday, and judging by these excerpts, it sounds like her childhood — well, the Dance Moms part of her childhood — was actually pretty rough.
“People ask me a lot if what they see on Dance Moms is real,” she writes in one segment. “Well, I can’t really answer that — I don’t watch the show.”
“I’ve probably only seen one entire episode from start to finish. I don’t love watching myself. I’ve lived through it, why do I need to watch it happen all over again?”
“I was eight years old at the time,” she continues, “and there were cameramen following me around everywhere I went. I would just ignore them and go about my business.”
Pretty mature for an 8-year-old, huh?
“Eventually,” Maddie explains, “you feel a little exposed because you’re on all the time. Your life is what the show is about, but you’re also trying to live it.”
“I just wanted to dance; I didn’t want all the drama.”
But if you’ve seen even a few seconds of Dance Moms, you know that the drama was unavoidable. From dance coach Abby Lee Miller screaming to the mothers screaming to the kids crying, drama is just as important to the show as dancing.
In another part of her book, Maddie laments that “When it came to competing, people expected us to be the best because we were the ones with the TV show.”
“That was a lot of pressure — we had a reputation to live up to.”
In addition to the pressure, there was also some danger, too — at one point, she recalls a an event at a mall when “a thousand screaming fans” were “pushing and shoving and trying to get close to us.”
“It was pretty scary,” she writes. “We actually had to hide locked in a store for a while till the crowds thinned out and the screaming stopped.”
But what about Maddie’s infamous dance instructor, Abby Lee Miller? She was a huge part of her life for several years, so there’s probably oodles of stories dedicated to her, right?
Wrong. Maddie doesn’t mention Abby one single time. Not once.
Beautiful, right?
But while she doesn’t mention Abby by name, she did write that before she met Sia, “I would say yes to a lot of things I didn’t want to do because I thought I had to — I didn’t want to disappoint anyone.”
“I’d be overwhelmed by the amount of work on my plate. Sia always tells me you have to have time off, step back and appreciate the moment.”
How lucky is it that she met Sia then? So at least she has one person in her life how who’s telling her to take some time off from dancing to be a kid.

Maddie Aldridge, Daughter of Jamie Lynn Spears, On the Mend
It sounds like Jamie Lynn Spears can finally take a deep breath and relax.
The condition of the actress’ eight-year old daughter has markedly improved, following a frightening off-read vehicle accident on Sunday in Louisiana.
As previously detailed, Maddie Aldridge was reportedly taking her child’s version of an ATV for a ride around her family’s property when it flipped over and she ended up face down in a pond.
Neither Spears nor husband Jamie Watson, both of whom rushed over to help the child, were able to dislodge Maddie from her seatbelt as she lay submerged under water.
But paramedics soon arrived on the scene and freed the little girl.
They transported an unconscious Maddie to a nearby hospital, where she was placed in serious but critical condition.
On Monday morning, Jamie Lynn’s father asked fans to pray for Maddie.
A few hours later, Britney Spears also asked for prayers for her niece.
We can’t say for certain whether those pleas and subsequent prayers are the reason for the following piece of good news, but all that matters is this:
Maddie has regained consciousness. She’s awake and talking. She appears to be on the mend.
“Thank you everyone for the prayers. Maddie is doing better and better. Thank y’all so much,” Watson wrote alongside a picture on Instagram of a shirt that read “believe in miracles.”
And here is the statement provided to People Magazine by the hospital, via a Spears family representative:
“With her father, mother and stepfather by her side, Maddie regained consciousness mid-day Tuesday, Feb. 7.
The 8-year-old daughter of entertainer Jamie Lynn Spears was involved in an ATV accident at a family home Sunday in Kentwood, Louisiana. Paramedics resuscitated her and she was airlifted to a local hospital.
She is aware of her surroundings and recognizes those family members who have kept a round-the-clock vigil since the accident.”
The long-term prognosis also sounds positive.
“Doctors were able to remove the ventilator today and she is awake and talking,” reads the statement.
“Maddie continues to receive oxygen and is being monitored closely but it appears that she has not suffered any neurological consequences from the accident.”
Watson and Spears were monitoring the child on Sunday when she took a hard right turn in order to avoid a drainage ditch.
They saw the vehicle flip over and land in a pond; they simply could not undo Maddie’s seatbelt at the time.
Jamie Lynn made major headlines and was the subject of a lot of scorn when she announced she was pregnant with Maddie in 2007, at the age of 16.
She and ex Casey Aldridge welcomed their daughter in June of 2008 prior to breaking up in 2010.
Following the arrival of her only child, the ex-Zoey 101 star basicaly left Hollywood to raise her daughter in her hometown.
“She’s got such a sweet little heart,” Spears told People of her daughter last year, adding:
“I feel like I’ve raised her with a lot of honesty, but I’ve also raised her with a lot of love. She’s a very happy, content little girl, and there’s nothing more a parent could ask for.
“That’s my most proud accomplishment out of anything and always will be.”
We are SO very happy for Jamie Lynn and her family.

Jamie Lynn Spears" Father: Please Pray for Maddie…
Jamie Lynn Spears and her loved ones are asking for your thoughts and prayers.
As previously reported, the eight-year old daughter of this former actress was involved in an ATV accident over the weekend, suffering major injuries on her way back from a hunting expedition in Louisiana.
Maddie was air-lifted to a hospital, TMZ reports, following what the site describes as “several minutes” under water.
The little girl lost consciousness as a result of the crash.
Maddie is Jamie Lynn’s only child.
She was born to Spears and then-boyfriend Casey Aldridge in the summer of 2008 and Spears has basically abandoned the spotlight ever since becoming a mother.
She has dedicated herself to the upbringing of her daughter.
In response to this tragedy, Jamie Lynn’s father, Jamie, spoke to Entertainment Tonight and simply said the following:
“All I can say is pray for our baby Maddie.”
There are not many specifics available at this time regarding Maddie’s condition or what, exactly happened to her.
The eight-year old is clearly in critical condition, but a rep for the Spears family has told various outlets that TMZ’s initial story is not entirely accurate.
“The details the media are reporting surrounding the incident regarding Jamie Lynn’s daughter Maddie are incorrect,” reads this rep’s statement.
It concluded:
“Right now the Spears family asks that everyone respect their privacy during this time and appreciates all the prayers and support for their family.”
Spears, 25, is the younger sister of Britney Spears. She got married to Jamie Watson in 2014 and has kept a relatively low profile for years.
Jamie Lynn has told People Magazine is the past that raising Maddie to be “happy” and “content” is her most “proud” accomplishment in life.
She also said the following to Entertainment Tonight, regarding life at home for her, Watson and Maddie:
“We are very strict on what she eats and different things like that, but my husband is very strict on most everything.
“I would say I am cool at times, but [Maddie] is getting to that age now where if I want to dance around with her and friends, that is not that cool anymore.
“She is kind of like, ‘Mom! Don’t do that,’ which is really weird for me because I used to love that!”

The Browns can celebrate some exciting news.
As has been well documented over the past several weeks, all is not exactly calm and cool between loved ones on Sister Wives.
There has been talk that Kody Brown is either splitting from wife Robyn or wife Meri or even that all four Sister Wives are ready to just up and leave the father of their children.
Ugly rumors have been running rampant, but Maddie Brown and Caleb Brush are here with a bit of exciting news for those who follow this TLC series:
They’re having a baby!
Sorry, you probably knew that already.
Let’s try this again: they’re having a baby BOY!
The couple learned the sex of their impending child during a gender reveal party on Monday and then shared the answer with Us Weekly.
“We are both super excited for our little boy,” Maddie and Caleb have told the tabloid. “Although we had a good hunch that it was a boy, it’s nice to finally know, so we can start preparing!”
According to Us Weekly, the reality stars hosted about 30 close friends and loved ones at Christine Brown’s residence in Las Vegas this week.
The attendees then played a game in which they cut out mustaches or hair bows from paper and actually donned the accessories themselves.
They were also given blue and pink balloons, but only the blue ones could inflate.
Maddie – the daughter of Kody and his second wife, Janelle – is 21 years old.
She made her pregnancy announcement on November 21, sharing an Instagram photo at the time of her husband kissing her baby bump, writing as a caption;
“So happy to announce our little addition!”
The two were married in a beautiful, intimate outdoor ceremony back in June in Montana.
Last month, Maddie posted an image of the expecting parents at Yellowstone National Park.
“Six months being married to you has been more than a fairy tale come true. You truly are my best friend and soul mate! I look forward to the years to come!” she wrote as a caption.
AWWW, right?
It’s been a turbulent time for the Browns of late.
As those who watch Sister Wives online know very well, Maddie’s half-sister, Mariah, stunned her family by coming out of the closet a couple episodes ago.
She stood in front of her dad and other relatives and announced she is gay.
And while Kody was surprised at the news initially, expressing a few reservations and asking a few questions, he did eventually come around.
“A surprise to me. Required some deep thought,” Kody Tweeted of the reveal on Sunday night, adding over the course of a couple more messages:
“After checking to see if she was sure, I just needed her to know she was safe…
“God has prepared my heart and mind for 15 years. Now @mariahlian can feel safe being openly gay with our family.”
That’s pretty impressive for a Mormon to write.
We’re not judging the religion, we’re just noting that many people who practice is are not accepting of the gay lifestyle, based on how they were raised.
But that’s another story.

Brown and husband Caleb Brush made this exciting announcement via Instagram on Monday, November 21.
Along with a blue heart emoji, Brown shared a photo with her followers of Brush kissing her growing baby bump, writing as a caption to this memorable image:
“So happy to announce our little addition!!”
This major news breaks just over a year since the couple got engaged and a few months after they got married in an outdoor wedding ceremony this past June in Bozeman, Montana.
All of the Browns were in attendance for the romantic nuptials.
Those who watch Sister Wives online will see the wedding take place at some point on Season 11, along with some of the controversy that surrounded Brown and Brush.
Based on the latest trailer released by TLC, which we’ve shared below, Maddie’s wedding planning will be just one of many obstacles faced by Kody and company this winter.
“My goal is to keep our family together,” Kody says at one point in the preview. “My goal is to work these things out.”
It’s an admirable goal. We’d hope that he’d want to keep his wives and kids all under one roof.
But a catfishing scandal surrounding Meri Brown is threatening to tear her relationship with Kody apart, while there’s been talk that all four Sister Wives are pissed at their husband.
(Can you imagine having FOUR wives mad at you, fellas?!? Most guys out there can barely handle the wrath of one!)
Maddie, meanwhile, is the daughter of stars Kody and Janelle Brown. The former is married has a total of 17 kids between all of his marriages.
“We think it would be super cute to have different names for all the grandmas, like oma, grams or babicka,” Maddie told People Magazine this week while discussing her pregnancy.
She added:
“Grandma said differently or in different languages. Ultimately they get to choose what they are called but my dad [Kody] will probably be grandpa.”

Jon Gosselin: Not On Speaking Terms With Twins Maddie and Cara
Someone send Jon Gosselin on an Eat Pray Love retreat.
The former TLC star and unofficial Ed Hardy model hasn’t been in the best place since his 2008 divorce from Kate Gosselin.
A month ago, one could have said that Jon was doing pretty well as an employee with his local T.G.I Friday’s. Alas, TMZ ruined everything by outing him, a move that made Jon so furious that he quit.
To make matters worse, Jon donated his weekly check to charity (this was confirmed by the restaurant manager).
Jon is allowed to feel a little bitter.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Jon revealed what his life is like these days as a single dad. He doesn’t see his kids much, which might affect him more than he lets on.
“Everybody used to come to my house,” Jon said of his eight kids – twins Maddie, Cara, and sextuplets Alexis, Hanna, Leah, Joel, Aaden and Colin.
“You know, it was great, and then Madelyn and Cara just stopped coming, around 12-13 [years old]. I didn’t question it. I was just like, ‘Hey, do what you want, be with your friends’ and then it just became they’re not coming.”
The number of Gosselin visitors then dwindled to six.
“I was just focusing on the ones that did come and then a couple years went by and then Collin stopped coming. I thought, maybe he just wants to do stuff with Mommy or whatever, and then it became long term.”
In fact, Colin and his dad haven’t seen each other in two years.
The last time Jon saw all eight children at once was three or four years ago.
Jon told ET that he hasn’t seen all eight of his children in one place in three or four years.
“The kids that I do get are Hannah, Leah, Joel and Aaden. I guess the four have stuck together and said, ‘We’re going to Daddy’s and that’s it.’ And maybe they’ll raise a stink about it or something like that.
“Sometimes I get Alexis but not often.”
As for his first-born daughters, Jon admitted that they’re not on speaking terms right now.
The fractured relationship Jon has with many of his children may stem from the non-existent one he has with Kate.
“I don’t really talk to my ex-wife, so it’s all kind of Helter Skelter,” Jon said.
“I have my life and she has her life. We have our life with our kids separately. We don’t go anywhere together.”
Jon decided to leave reality TV to work odd jobs in between his DJ gigs.
You know, I kind of walked away from everything so that my kids can have a life,” he said. “So that they would be taken care of, in their house, and things wouldn’t change, because I knew I could survive.”
On July 26th, Jon issued a threat to the media via Twitter about protecting his family’s privacy.
“In the future, don’t tag me in posts with my ex,” he tweeted.
“It’s uncalled for and causes drama. Please respect our children’s privacy as well, thank u.”

Maddie Brown: Sister Wives Star Marries Caleb Brush!
After a six-month engagement, Sister Wives star Maddie Brown married Caleb Brush over the weekend.
Maddie"s dad, Kody Brown, officiated the wedding, which took place in Bozeman, Montana.
Her mom Janelle, one of Kody"s four wives, was also in attendance with the rest of the family.
Maddie wore a traditional white strapless wedding gown while Caleb wore khakis.
Yes, he wore khakis to his own wedding.
"I can cut a rug on a dance floor in khakis better than a monkey suit," he told Us Weekly.
Listen, I could certainly dance more effectively barefoot and in biker shorts, but that doesn"t mean it"s appropriate for a wedding.
But Maddie didn"t seem bothered, so no biggie.
We saw Maddie announce her engagement on the reality show during its season premiere last month.
"I"m pretty excited," the bride told Us. "It doesn"t feel real."
The couple posted the video below to the Sister Wives Facebook page, shot just after the rehearsal dinner.
In the vid, they thank fans for support and all the marriage advice.
Advice like, perhaps, please oh please don"t bring other women into your marriage like your mom and dad did?
At this point, it seems Maddie and Caleb don"t plan to go that route.
“I’m not one to live plural marriage,” she said during a TLC special last November.
Apparently, Maddie took one look at the crackpot life of her father with his multiple wives and 17 kids between them and said, NOPE, not for me.
Good thing, because a court recently denied Kody"s request to decriminalize polygamy in the state of Utah.
