Katy Perry and Dolly Parton at ACM Awards: Watch the Duet!
Katy Perry is known for donning all sorts of outfits while performing on stage.
But viewers of the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night were treated to something few had ever seen before:
The pop star in boots!
That"s because the pop star put on her figurative cowboy hat for the evening, heading over to the country music side of things for an incredible duet with Dolly Parton.
The artists rocked some bright colored ensembles as they belted out three of Parton"s most memorable hits: “Coat of Many Colors,” “Jolene,” and “9 to 5."
It was the first time Perry and Parton ever shared a stage, but we"re guessing both would be up for doing it again.
"MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED. I shall remember though that I am but one sequin on this living legend’s costume!” Perry Tweeted in response to the duet.
It was a big night for Parton all around at the event, whose fashion you can grade HERE.
The icon"s biographical television movie, Coat Of Many Colors, was this year’s Tex Ritter Award recipient, which is an honor handed out to a film from the preceding year that “either features or utilizes country music."
Check out Perry and Parton both being more than just a little bit country now:
