Katy Perry: ENGAGED to Orlando Bloom?!
You may have been aware Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom broke up back in March of 2017.
But did you know they got back together in January of this year?
If you were in the dark on that one, you’re certainly not alone.
Their second time around, Katy and Orlando agreed to keep things much more low key.
But just because they’re not shouting their love from the rooftop, that doesn’t mean they’re not seriously invested in this relationship.
In fact, it seems that Perry and Bloom may be on the verge of taking a major step forward together.
According to a new report from Us Weekly, Katy and Orlando are planning to get engaged sometime in the very near future.
“Katy and Orlando have worked out all their kinks and have had really fluid communication about what each of them wants,” the insider explains.
“Katy doesn’t want this relationship to be a repeat cycle of things she’s already experienced in past relationships that didn’t work out,” the source adds.
“She’s learned to grow from them and doesn’t want that in her current relationship.”
Yes, it sounds as though Katy and Orlando have both learned a great deal from their previous high-profile relationships.
“They really try to communicate well and spend as much time together as possible,” the source claims.
“Obviously, they’re both very busy, but they prioritize communicating and working their schedules around each other,” the insider adds.
“They are very much in love, so an engagement wouldn’t be a surprise.”
These comments sound suspiciously as though they originated with Katy’s reps, which leads us to believe there’s some legitimacy to these rumors.
We’re sure this pseudo-announcement will lead to another round of rumors that Perry is pregnant with Bloom’s baby, but we’re not willing to take it quite that far yet.
Even if the singer is expecting, it’ll likely be quite some time before she makes the news official.
After all, the same reps that are spreading the word about her possible engagement can be quite adept at keeping things secret when they want to.

Kesha Accuses Dr. Luke of Raping Katy Perry
A new and very disturbing allegation has been leveled against music producer Dr. Luke.
To be more accurate, the allegation itself is not new.
But it has only just now been made public, and it has the music industry reeling in many different directions.
Allow us to explain…
The Blast has obtained legal documents that allege Kesha told Lady Gaga via text message in 2016 that Dr. Luke had raped both herself… and Katy Perry.
The first accusation listed above has been documented several times in the past.
Kesha claimed back in 2014 that Dr. Luke assaulted her and harassed her throughout their professional relationship and she has since filed a lawsuit against the infamous producer.
On May 31, however, Luke’s attorney filed papers that include the following sections:
On Feb. 26, 2016, [Kesha] sent a text message to Stefani Germanotta p/k/a Lady Gaga which repeated [Kesha’s] false claim that Gottwald had raped her.
In this text message, [Kesha] also falsely asserted that Gottwald had also raped Kathryn Hudson p/k/a Katy Perry.
Following this text message conversation, and with [Kesha’s] encouragement, Ms. Germanotta spread negative messages about Gottwald in the press and on social media.
For example, in February 2016, Ms. Germanotta posted multiple articles discussing defendant defamatory statements on her Twitter page.
To be clear, as mentioned above, it is Dr. Luke’s own attorney who included these text message excerpts in his court filing.
He is claiming that Kesha has defamed his client and is denying her accusations about both her rape and the rape of Perry by Dr. Luke.
We reported last August that Lady Gaga had agreed to submit unedited text exchanges she had with Kesha to the court in an attempt to assist Kesha with her lawsuit against Dr. Luke.
In addition to co-producing Kesha’s breakout hits “TiK ToK” and “We R Who We R,” the producer also worked on a number of Perry singles, including “I Kissed a Girl,” “Teenage Dream” and “Roar.”
There’s no debate here that he knows Perry well.
But there’s obviously a very big difference between knowing her well and assaulting her in the manner Kesha has reportedly described to her friends.
No one from Kesha, Lady Gaga or Katy Perry’s camps have commented on this story.
In a New York Times feature published a year ago, Perry simply said “I had to leave the nest” when asked why she stopped working with Dr. Luke.
Dr. Luke alleges he lost out on over $ 10 million that he would have made for working on various Perry’s albums… and thinks Kesha’s allegations damaged his reputation and led to his split from the American Idol judge.
The documents published by The Blast also reveal that Perry has been deposed as part of Kesha’s lawsuit, but they do not give details to what was said.
Luke, meanwhile, has strongly denied all allegations of assault and abuse by Kesha.
He has countersued the singer for breach of contract and defamation.
In February of 2016, Dr. Luke tweeted:
“I didn’t rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her. Kesha and I were friends for many years and she was like my little sister.”
Two years after he made this statement, Kesha stole the show at the 2018 Grammy Awards when she performed her empowerment anthem “Praying” in support of the Time’s Up movement with a choir comprised of Cyndi Lauper, Camila Cabello, Julia Michaels, Andra Day and Bebe Rexha.

Katy Perry Actually Said WHAT About Meghan Markle"s Wedding Dress?!?
Now that Katy Perry is done feuding with Taylor Swift, the singer has apparently chosen a new target for her wrath.
And that target is…
… Meghan Markle?!?
Apparently, yes.
Following Saturday’s royal wedding, the rare event met with universal approval across the Internet, Perry was asked for her reaction to Markle’s wedding down.
It was a pretty basic ensemble, designed by Givenchy and worn perfectly by the glowing bride.
Or at least that’s what we thought.
“I would have done one more fitting,” the American Idol judge told Entertainment Tonight about the gown, adding with a smile:
“I’m never not going to tell the truth! One more fitting, but I love you!”
Let’s keep in mind that this fashion assessment is coming from someone who went out in public looking like this recently:
Designed by Great Britain’s own Clare Waight Keller, Markle’s dress featured a sleek silhouette featured and an open bateau neckline, along with slim three-quarter sleeves.
Moreover, it expertly emphasized the bride’s slender sculpted waist, according to Kensington Palace’s official release.
Has the gown received the sort of praise bestowed upon Kate Middleton’s wedding dress in 2011? Which actually led H&M to come out with a much cheaper version that it now sells in storeS?
No. Not yet at least.
But why be so harsh, Katy Perry?!?
“Kate won! Kate won!” Perry added even more obnoxiously, making clear in this same interview that she preferred Middleton’s Alexander McQueen-designed frock.

Markle and Harry got married on Saturday, May 19, of course.
The ceremony was attended by several hundred guests, while thousands of people lined the London streets to cheer on the couple and millions more watched at home on television.
We’ve since learned that Harry gave a speech at the evening reception in which he said he cannot wait for him and Markle to be an official “team.’
He also praised his bride’s “grace and dignity,” both of which truly have been on display while she gets dragged left and right by her terrible family members.
In her speech, meanwhile, Markle reportedly thanked her mom (“You have always been there for me through everything…”) and the Royal Family for accepting her into their lives with open arms.
Markle and Harry remain in Great Britain right now, putting off their honeymoon for an undetermined period of time.
It’s unclear just when they’ll depart and it’s equally unclear just where they are actually going for this big trip.
What is VERY clear, however, is that these two deserve a very long vacation.
They’ve been in the public eye for a long time now and they don’t need to just sit back and take this sort of criticism from someone like Katy Perry.
We hope they get the chance to get far away from it all soon, to kick back, relax and makes all sort of sweet and passionate love.

Katy Perry to Taylor Swift: WTH? We"re in a Feud Again!
As it turns out, peace in the Middle East may be easier to achieve than peace between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.
Earlier this week, the celebrity gossip world was stunned to discover that Perry had reached out to Swift on the day of her Reputation Tour kick-off in order to extend an olive branch.
We mean this literally.
According to an Instagram video shared by Swift, Perry sent her long-time foe an actual olive branch, along with a note.
The items were filmed by Swift inside her dressing room, with the artist giving followers a look at just a snippet of Perry’s message.
“Hey Old Friend – I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and hurt feelings between us,” it opens, with other recognizable pieces including how Perry is “deeply sorry” and wants to “clear the air.”
FINALLY, right?
This feud between two of the most successful solo artists in recent music history was ignited over five years ago.
While never totally and/or completely confirmed by either side, it appears to stem from Swift’s belief that Perry stole a couple backup singers from her back in the day.
The one time Swift did open up about the rivalry, she did not call out Perry by name.
But she did explain that tension centered around “business” and that another singer did something “horrible” that involved trying to “sabotage” an entire tour.
Perry, meanwhile, has gone on record as saying Swift attempted to “assassinate my character.”
It’s been an entertaining, passive aggressive back-and-forth that we’re sad to see come to an end…
… except The Daily Mail now says the rivalry isn’t actually over!
An insider tells the British newspaper that a new issue has arisen, and it’s hilariously connected directly to Perry’s aforementioned mea culpa.
“Katy expected that Taylor would post something about it, but she didn’t expect the actual letter to go on social,” says this source, alleging that Perry is peeved that Swift went so public with the note and olive branch.
Why?
Because, based on what we can see in Taylor’s Instagram footage, it makes it appear as if Perry is taking all the blame and is acknowledging that the whole beef was her fault.
Adds this individual:
“The thing is, you can only see part of what Katy wrote and it looks like she’s taking sole responsibility for the entire feud.
“Without context, it looks like she’s taking the blame for everything and obviously there’s a lot more to it than that.”
This is so great. We really hope this report is true.
We really hope Perry’s attempts to make peace with Swift actually had the opposite effect and now things are worse than ever.
It would just be hilarious, right?
We’re not gonna take a side here, but Katy has clearly been the one trying for awhile now to calm everything down.
“I am ready to let it go,” she said on The Thrive Global Podcast last year, adding:
“I forgive her and I’m sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her … I love her, and I want the best for her. And I think she’s a fantastic songwriter.”

Katy Perry Actually Sends Peace Offering to Taylor Swift, Is "Deeply Sorry" for Feud

In a move that took many music and celebrity gossip fans by surprise, Katy Perry penned an open Instagram Stories letter to long-time rival Taylor Swift on Tuesday, just hours before the latter kicked off her “Reputation” stadium tour.
Perry and Swift, of course, have been engaged in a passive aggressive rivalry for years.
Neither has spoken much about it directly, but each has seemingly referenced the other in songs and in various interviews.
The beef goes back about half a decade and was allegedly ignited due to Perry’s stealing of a couple Swift backup dancers for one of her own international tours.
“She did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy!” Swift told Rolling Stone of the subject of the track “Bad Blood” in 2014, never actually saying Perry’s name.
Added Taylor in this revealing exchange:
“It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under… So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”
We’ve loved it, however.
The feud has been a blast to speculate over and cover.
But now it’s come to an end?
Evidently so.
“Hey Old Friend – I’ve been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and hurt feelings between us,” Perry wrote in a letter we can see parts of via a Swift Instagram video.
The letter is partially obscured, but it also appears to say Katy is “deeply sorry” and wants to “clear the air.”
Included along with the letter, which was actually mailed to Swift, is a literal olive branch.
Panning over the gift in her dressing room in response, Swift says on social media:
“I just got to my dressing room and found this actual olive branch. This means so much to me.”
This is quite the departure for Perry, who tried to use her negative back-and-forth with Swift to promote her last album.
About a year ago, Perry said Swift tried to “assassinate my character” and didn’t sound anywhere close to someone willing to issue a Mea Culpa.
But then Swift released ALL of her songs on streaming music the same day Perry’s album dropped and Katy perhaps realized she was in way over her head.
Her album sales tanked, Swift was viewed as the Queen of Passive Aggression and here we are now.
Granted, it’s also possible Perry just wants to make up with Swift for personal reasons, not because she feels she’s been bested by her foe in the music world.
“I am ready to let it go,” Perry told Thrive CEO Arianna Huffington last summer, adding:
“I forgive her and I’m sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her … I love her, and I want the best for her. And I think she’s a fantastic songwriter.”
So we guess the action Perry took on Tuesday has sort of been a long time coming.
Perry added last year that she thinks she and Swift could put their differences aside and be “representatives of strong women.”
“Maybe I don’t agree with everything she does and she doesn’t agree with everything I do, but I just really, truly want to come together in a place of love and forgiveness and understanding and compassion,” the singer said.
Fair enough.
We’re willing to believe Perry is being sincere and we’re now hoping to see these two take the stage peacefully together at some point.
That would be fun to see, wouldn’t it?
Heck, perhaps an album of duets?!?
Okay, maybe now we’re aiming too high.
But in a polarizing country, where it seems like no one can get along, it’s nice to see Perry and Swift setting an example for the rest of us to follow.

Katy Perry: Did She Sexually Harass an American Idol Singer?
Katy Perry kissed a boy on the American Idol premiere this past Sunday night…
… and he didn’t like it.
On the season premiere of the rebooted American Idol, the popular singer and this season’s lead judge greeted 19-year-old contestant Benjamin Glaze with a playful peck on the lips.
She did so after Glaze told the panel that he had never kissed anyone before.
The episode was filmed in October, but did not air until this week — and the quick spit swap seemed like a harmless exchange of bodily fluids at the time.
But then Glaze spoke to The New York Times a couple days later and…
“I was a tad bit uncomfortable,” he said. “I wanted to save it for my first relationship. I wanted it to be special.”
Benjamin works as a a cashier in Enid, Oklahoma and explained that he comes from a conservative background.
He has been keeping his lips to himself on purpose and then Perry came along and simply laid one on him.
Added the aspiring artist in this interview:
“Would I have done it if she said, ‘Would you kiss me?’ No, I would have said no.
“I know a lot of guys would be like, ‘Heck yeah!’ But for me, I was raised in a conservative family and I was uncomfortable immediately. I wanted my first kiss to be special.”
Even prior to these quotes going viral, Perry had been criticized harshly by insiders who basically alleged she has no clue what to do or say as a judge.
The unwanted kiss took place after Glaze entered the audition room and judge Luke Bryan mentioned Perry’s 2008 track “I Kissed a Girl,” asking:
“Have you kissed a girl and liked it?”
Pretty weird thing to bring up, right?
Producers clearly were aware of Glaze’s background and told Bryan to touch on it.
Glaze said he had never gotten to first base and added:
“I have never been in a relationship and I can’t kiss a girl without being in a relationship.”
Perry proceeded to call the teen over and he gave Perry a peck on the cheek… prior to her pulling him close for one on the lips.
The singer, it should be mentioned, did NOT earn a Golden Ticket to Hollywood.
But it should also now be mentioned that Glaze penned a lengthy message on Instagram to clarify his stance on this surprising scandal.
“I am not complaining about the kiss from Katy Perry at all,” he wrote Wednesday afternoon, adding in detail:
“The way certain articles are worded is not done by me and my true intentions are not accurately represented in every article you read about the situation.
“I am not complaining about the kiss I am very honored and thankful to be apart of American Idol the main purpose for the show is to find stars and new music artist.
“I do wish i would have performed better in the moment.
“I should have picked another song to sing and calmed myself down regardless of the kiss i should have been able to perform under pressure.”
The singer continued:
I do not think i was sexually harassed by Katy Perry and i am thankful for the judges comments and critiques.
I was uncomfortable in a sense of how i have never been kissed before and was not expecting it.

Katy Perry: Will Her Failure as a Judge Doom American Idol?
Taylor Swift must be cackling somewhere — if she’s even bothering to pay attention to Katy anymore.
American Idol’s returned on Sunday, to mixed reactions.
One major problem, a report says, is that Katy Perry is a disastrous judge who doesn’t know what to say to contestants.
Yes, American Idol is back and Katy Perry is one of the judges.
RadarOnline reports that Katy is a disaster for the show — beyond what viewers have already seen on camera and beyond everyone’s worst fears.
“Katy Perry has been worse than anyone ever could have imagined on American Idol.“
Producers were already worried after Katy’s reign as host at the 2017 VMAs fell flat, but apparently she’s even worse as a judge.
Per RadarOnline‘s source, the lines that judges say and the opinions that they espouse “absolutely aren’t scripted.”
And it sounds like Katy, though a great singer, isn’t so stellar at improv.
Or even just … speaking.
The problem seems to be that Katy doesn’t know how to give feedback.
“This is proving to be a huge issue for Katy because she literally has no clue what to say to any of the contestants.”
You can be funny or you can be helpful, but it sounds like Katy is neither.
“During auditions, Katy has appeared to be completely at a loss as to what she should say.”
When she does speak up, it doesn’t play well for the cameras.
“Her feedback and interactions with contestants are flat, and at times, very, very awkward.”
Oh, dear.
It turns out that Katy Perry allegedly has yet another issue: punctuality.
“Along with constantly being late, this is not a very good indication of the show’s reboot success.”
The source summarizes how they view the new American Idol:
“It’s a complete train wreck!”
Over time, we’ll see whether they can get Katy Perry and the show back on the right track.

Speaking of disasters for the show, however, we should talk about Ryan Seacrest.
Recently, Ryan’s accuser spoke out and shared the details of her allegations of working as his stylist for years and enduring verbal and physical sexual harassment.
Among other things, she described him repeatedly groping her in the genitals.
In another incident, Ryan allegedly held her down on a bed while wearing only his underwear and sporting a visible erection, and only relented when another man in the room yelled at him to stop.
Though a number of fans have ignored these accusations and choose to disbelieve the woman who accuses Ryan as well as her witnesses, it’s definitely made American Idol‘s revival … awkward.
The Ryan Seacrest problem sounds like it would easily be solved by firing and replacing him, even though that, too, would be controversial.

As for Katy … that’s even easier.
She needs to hire someone to write some lines for her. Pay a comedy writer $ 100,000 a season — a drop in the bucket compared to what she herself is making — and have them write some lines or even text them to her or whisper them into her earpiece.
Unless this is some sort of pride thing where Katy wants to do it herself but just can’t.
In that case, she just needs a tutor. Seriously — there’s something to be said, humorous or constructive, in response to just about anything. If you don’t know what to say about someone’s performance, compliment their pants or shoes or whatever.
Unfortunately, even if Katy suddenly becomes a masterful judge, that might not be enough to save this revival.
