Elizabeth Banks Mocks Donald Trump: He Stole My Hunger Games Entrance!
Last night, history was made. But that didn"t stop the crown inside the 2016 Democratic National Convention from having a little fun.
While Scott Baio and Antonio Sabato Jr. buried themselves at the RNC, the very opposite happened to the celebs who were invited to speak last night.
Elizabeth Banks made her mark last night when she took the stage, mimicking Trump"s over-the-top entrance with hand gestures and a slow, deliberate walk as Queen"s "We Are The Champions" played.
It was awesome.
“Some of you know me from ‘The Hunger Games,’ in which I play Effie Trinket ― a cruel, out-of-touch reality TV star who wears insane wigs while delivering long-winded speeches to a violent dystopia,” Banks told the crowd.
“So when I tuned in to Cleveland last week, I was like, ‘Uh, hey ― that’s my act!’”
It was nothing short of brilliant. Banks had nearly every one of Trump"s obnoxious moves down, to the point where it even made the GOP nominee speechless.
Well, speechless in the sense that he didn"t directly address it in one of his many tweets about last night. He did, however, manager to insult the convention overall, like any grown-up running for president would do.
"I hate to say it, but the Republican Convention was far more interesting (with a much more beautiful set) than the Democratic Convention!" Trump tweeted.
"The Democratic Convention has paid ZERO respect to the great police and law enforcement professionals of our country. No recognition – SAD!" he also posted, as Banks shared a selfie with two Philadelphia police officers on the social media platform.
Lena Dunham, America Ferrara, Meryl Streep were only a few big names to publicly throw their support behind Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee and the first woman to ever be nominated for president.

Beyonce Inspires Most Epic Prom Entrance of All-Time
Azja Frazier has officially raised the prom bar.
In a video that has gone viral for totally awesome and understandable reasons, this high school student eschewed the concept of simple photos with her prom date prior to the pair leaving for their big dance.
Instead, she adorned her porch with black and yellow column balloons… she rolled out a red carpet… she called a huge audience to her yard… and she enlisted two of her friends to imitate the choreography from Beyonce"s "Formation" music video.
The footage was shared on dancer’s Floyd D. Wimberly Facebook page and has racked up over three million views in just a couple days.
Wimberly is at the center of the footage, emerging through fringe in white pants and a black top.
After several seconds, he launches into Bey"s "Formation" choreography, nailing every move perfectly, prior to walking down the steps to make room for a second dancer.
Eventually, Frazier herself makes a smoke-filled entrance.
And it"s awesome!
The teenage, who lives in Illinois, told BuzzFeed News she hired Wimberly after seeing some of his dances online.
According to his Facebook page, he"s done the "Formation" prom entrance at least twice before, and has also performed Bey"s "Diva" for a sendoff.
"I wanted something to entertain my guests while they were waiting on me to come out," Frazier told BuzzFeed.
"Also, I loved the song and I felt like it was a moment when I slayed … I felt like it was my day to shine."
It totally was, Azja. And shine you did!

Blac Chyna: FORCES Party Guests to Download Her App for Entrance!
I guess it’s not that steep of a cover charge if you think about it.
Still, guests who attended Blac Chyna’s birthday party last night were left with a bad taste in their mouth after hearing about the entrance fee.
According to Radar, attendees were required to download Blac’s new CHYmoji app in order to gain entrance to the shindig, which was held at the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, Calif.
“Please download the CHYmoji app before you arrive and show the attendant the icon on your phone when you check in to the event,” read the instructions on the invitation, reports the site.
Chyna’s new emoji app debuted this week at number one on the App Store and is available for $ 1.99.
“It was absolutely ridiculous,” complained one party-goer.
“People were being turned away because they did not have her app downloaded to their phones and not everyone has iPhones!
“One guest’s phone was dead, and they almost didn’t let him in!”
Listen, I’ve been to those Hollywood clubs and have seen bouncers turn people away for a lot less than that.
Nevertheless, this just adds fuel to the rumors that Blac is a money-hungry fame monger who got knocked up by Rob Kardashian to cash in on his family’s fortune.
Earlier this week, we reported that the model filed papers to trademark the name “Angela Kardashian.”
(Blac’s real name is Angela White.)
She reportedly intends to use the name for “entertainment services, namely live television and movie appearances,” as well as “living as a social media celebrity, model, actress, and performer.”
What will happen to Blac Chyna? Should she have thought about that before releasing CHYmoji?
Because ANGmoji just doesn’t have the same ring to it.
