Jeremy Roloff: This is What Fatherhood Has Taught Me

Jeremy Roloff is a changed man.

He’s only been a father for a handful of weeks, but the Little People, Big World star says he can tell something is different.

And that something is centered around his faith.

Earlier this week, the new father of a precious baby named Ember Jean shared the above photo on Instagram and included with it the caption below:

Yesterday I had a dying to self moment. The realization that my life is not about me.

This baby is a part of the continual dying-to-self process that is nescessary to pursue holiness over happiness.

That’s profound stuff.

Typically, Jeremy leaves this kind of religious talk to his wife, as Audrey Roloff has been known to often gush over Jesus Christ and His teachings.

But having Ember has clearly brought something out in Jeremy.

If you pursue happiness over holiness, you may lose both, he continued, adding:

But if we pursue holiness, happiness may get thrown in. There is a selfishness deep down that I’m ashamed to say, almost resented the freedom and time that I am about to lose.

However, as it’s been said, nothing can truly be yours until you’ve fully given it away.

After an admittedly challenging opening few weeks as parents, Audrey and Jeremy have been sharing more and more pictures of their daughter, while also taking her on mini road trips.

Or stroller trips, we guess we should say.

In concluding his latest post regarding Ember and what he’s come to believe/realize, Jeremy wrote:

Jesus said it best, “He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.”

I want to live for the truth of holiness, not the facade of happiness.

I want to find my life and find it in the fullness and freedom of Christ.

Amen, right?

Whether or not you believe with absolutely everything Jeremy writes here or believes in general, his sentiment is that being a father has made him more selfless.

Isn’t that how it ought to be for everyone?

Tarek El Moussa: Loving Fatherhood ... And the Single Life!

It’s been eight months since we first learned that Flip or Flop stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa had separated following a frightening incident in which Tarek brandished a gun.

Given the ugly nature of the split, it’s surprising just how quickly both parties were both able to move on.

But move on they have.

Just a few months after her marriage ended, Christina began dating Nate Thompson, a hockey player currently with the NHL’s Ottawa Senators.

The relationship didn’t last, but we suppose that’s to be expected from a rebound fling following a marriage that yielded two children.

For his part, it seems Tarek is enjoying the single life and playing the field in a major way.

According to Radar Online, Tarek was spotted at the Orange County Fair last night in the company of two “much younger” women.

The nature of Tarek’s relationship to the women is unknown, and they could simply be platonic friends.

But this is far from the first time we’ve heard tales of Tarek making the most of being single for basically the first time in his adult life.

But that doesn’t mean the divorce has been easy for the 38-year-old house flipper.

In a recent social media post, Tarek revealed that he struggles with having to share custody of his two children:

“Well…my kids go home today and I’m sitting in my car on set as I write this,” El Moussa wrote.

“Being a dad is not easy…it takes love, hard work, patience and the understanding that everything you do today around your children will affect them for the rest of their lives.”

“My number one goal in life that I WILL accomplish is being the best dad, friend and mentor to my children,” Tarek added.

“I just love them so much and I want them to live the best life ever! I [love] you Tay and Bray!!”

Sources say Tarek and Christina have worked out a relatively amicable co-parenting relationship, and they’re even planning to continue hosting their show together.

That said, divorce is never easy, and clearly, the split has taken a toll on the entire family.

Here’s hoping the El Moussas can stay on course toward an arrangement that will ensure the greatest possible happiness and well-being for all involved.

Zach Roloff Cradles Newborn, Gushes Over Fatherhood

Simply put, it doesn"t get much more adorable than this.

On May 12, Tori Roloff and Zach Roloff welcomed their first child into the world.

His name is Jackson Kyle and we later learned that he does, indeed, carry the same gene as his famous father; despite measuring "normal" length at birth, he will grow up to be a Dwarf.

This will be a challenge, Jacob has openly admitted.

Speaking to People Magazine, the TLC star talked openly about his own difficulties as a child with this genetic disposition.

He was called names. He was chosen last for sports. There was no talk of him getting elected Homecoming King.

“I grew up with the name-calling,” Roloff said in a feature piece for the publication, adding:

"I look at my childhood and being a boy on the farm, it was a little tough because boys are very alpha-doggy and follow the pack.

"I was always chasing the back and way behind the pack. It was tough."

The result is that “you have to encourage a dwarf child a little more because it will take them five steps to do what others can do in two,” Roloff said a few weeks ago.

Now, about a month into fatherhood, Zach has talked once again about this life-changing experience.

In new footage for his vlog with Tori – aptly named “Z and T Party of Three” – he discussed the first few days at home with the baby.

“It felt super surreal and natural the first time I held baby Jackson,” says the Little People, Big World star below, going on in a bit more detail as follows:

“Infants, I always thought, were fragile and hard to hold, but with your own child, it’s super confident.”

It"s strange, but true. Only parents can really understand this.

As for Jackson being born with achondroplasia?

“Baby Jackson came in as [a little person] — just like me,” the new dad says, emphasizing:

“We’re super excited for it, though. We’ll hope to just give him a healthy, happy life and support him in every way.

"He can experience as much as the world as Tori and me have been able to and hopefully much more.”

And look how cute he is!

Check out the full video and see what else Zach and Tori have to say about their son right now:

George Clooney Speaks for FIRST Time on Fatherhood!

George Clooney has finally spoken out in public about some rather private news.

Some rather private news that has a nation on the edge of its seat in excitement, that is.

We’re talking, of course, about the fact that Clooney and his wife Amal are expecting twins this year. Yes, twins.

EEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!!

“We are really happy and really excited. It’s going to be an adventure,” the actor said in his interview with Laurent Weil on his French program, Rencontres de Cinema.

The 55-year old seems to be aware that having two babies at once is a pretty big challenge.

But he also sounds like he’s ready for it.

“We’ve sort of embraced it all… with arms wide open,” Clooney added.

This giant piece of unexpected baby news went viral about two weeks ago, with plenty of people on the Internet having their say.

Matt Damon even chimed in about the development, telling Entertainment Tonight that he “almost started crying” when Clooney pulled him aside to pass the news along.

“They’re gonna be great. They’re gonna be awesome parents. Those kids are lucky,” Damon added this month.

Still, the interview referenced above marks the first comments Clooney himself has made on the topic of children and fatherhood.

This is a man, remember, long known for being someone who thoroughly enjoyed his single life, moving from one beautiful woman to another with seemingly no plans to settle down.

But then he was bitten by the love bug. Hard.

The star is aware that he’s a bit older than most men when they become first-time parents.

But he says he drawns inspiration from 89-year-old French actor Jean-Paul Belmondo, who had a child with his second wife, Nathalie Tardivel, when he was 70 years old.

“So, I’m feeling a little better about being 56 by the time [the kids arrive],” Clooney joked.

Hmmm… 56, huh?

Clooney turns that age on May 6. So we now have confirmation that Amal is due some time after that.

Clooney’s mother actually said recently that her grandkids are due to enter the world in June.

She also confessed that one will be a girl and one will be a boy. How perfect, right?!?

“George is excited but nervous,” said a source close to the couple about how Clooney is feeling these days, telling People Magazine:

“He is excited about the kids, but also has the normal amount of nerves that come with being parents.”

Sure. That makes sense. Lots of others have been there.

And the following celebrities will all be there at some point in 2017:

Still. This is George Clooney we’re talking about.

Is there any doubt he’ll slay at this fatherhood thing?

“He’s going to be the best dad,” a second source tells People very simply.

We agree!

Dwayne Johnson Continues to Win at Fatherhood

We can"t exactly smell what The Rock is cooking in the following precious piece of footage.

But we can definitely hear what The Rock is singing… and it couldn"t be more adorable!

The professional wrestler turned major action hero uploaded a video to Instagram last week, one that gives fans their second look at his newborn daughter, Jasmine.

The former WWE superstar and his girlfriend of almost a decade, Lauren Hashian, welcomed their first child together back on December 16.

A few days later, Johnson showed off a picture of the cute little girl.

In this video, which we may or may not have watched a dozen times already, he"s cradling her in his arms and singing to young Jasmine.

And, yes, because there"s nothign Johnson isn"t great at, he"s carrying the holiday favorite about Jack Frost nipping at one"s nose very, very well.

“Twas the night before Christmas,” the actor wrote as a caption, adding: "#BeCarefulSantaShesTough."

“Kinda crazy but in this cool and powerful skin to skin bonding moment with my newborn baby Jasmine, I had just one wish I asked the universe," Johnson wrote in a long message soon after becoming a father for the second time overall.

"Give me the strength to be a better man today than I was yesterday."
