Selena Gomez: Living Her Best Life Without Justin Bieber!
While Justin Bieber’s engagement to Hailey Baldwin has been making waves, Selena Gomez has been quietly teasing her “very honest” new album.
Some feared that seeing her on-again, off-again get engaged just a few months after their breakup would be a devastating blow.
Instead, it sounds like her life is better than ever with him out of the picture.
InTouch Weekly reports that a source close to Selena says that the actress and singer is living her best life now that she’s Biebs-free.
“Selena’s on-again, off-again relationship with Justin left her a nervous wreck,” the insider shares.
We can only imagine the impact that his well-documented bad behavior and alleged substance abuse struggles had on her for years.
“Now that she’s accepted that it’s over for good,” the source reveals. “She actually feels relieved to close that chapter of her life.”
The insider continues: “For the first time in years, she feels free.”
“She’s distanced herself from her old Hollywood life,” the source divulges.
“And,” the insider continues, Selena has shifted away from “the fake friends that came with it.”
When you’re a talented, beautiful celebrity, people are going to want to cling to you on the offchance that it could one day benefit them.
Now, the source says, “She only surrounds herself with genuine people who love her for who she is.”
That is good. Your squad should always support you for who you are, not for what you can do for them.
So, in addition to working on her new album (I cannot wait!), what exactly is Selena reportedly up to now that she’s no longer exchanging bodily fluids with Justin?
The insider explains that Selena “spends most of her free time enjoying relaxing dinners or hanging by the pool with pals.”
Well, presumably she doesn’t spend all that much time with dinner. It only happens once a day.
But we get the picture.
“Selena has grown up a lot,” the source adds. “And feels so much more comfortable in her own skin.”
It fills our hearts with joy and peace to hear that Selena has finally been able to put Justin Bieber behind her in a non-sexual context.
We’re not saying that we’re jumping for joy at the idea of Hailey Baldwin, at 21 years of age, linking her life to Justin Bieber’s — potentially for decades to come.
But it is good to see that Selena has outgrown Justin and knows it.
Exes plant their hooks in your heart. Time makes it seem like the bad times weren’t so bad, until all that you remember are the good times. That’s how they get you.
Now, it looks like Selena has moved on. Finally, Justin has no hold on her.
With all of that said, we should say that we’re reluctant to take reports on Selena’s state of mind at face value unless they come from, you know, Selena herself.
Especially when it’s good news, like this is.
We always want to believe that our favorite celebrities are living their best lives.
We will say that we absolutely hope that this is true.
And, again, that we are really looking forward to new music from Selena.

Selena Gomez: Justin and Hailey"s Engagement Is Messing With My Head!
Now that Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are engaged, many diehard Selenators are hoping that Selena Gomez can finally be free of him once and for all.
Unfortunately, a report says that Selena feels like she’s unable to move forward with a new relationship or delete old photos from her time with the Biebs.
It sounds like Justin’s engagement is messing with her head.
A source tells HollywoodLife that Selena is struggling to date in the face of Justin’s engagement.
“Selena feels like right now dating is not in the cards,” the insider reveals.
That’s interesting — there had been speculation that Justin was dating Hailey to get revenge on Selena for Selena’s own rebound.
Maybe the Caleb Stevens thing was never as big as some people believed.
“She thinks that it is hard to find someone because of her celebrity,” the source explains. “And its hard to meet people organically.”
There is, unfortunately, more to it.
“Plus she always thinks how it will be perceived to be with someone in the outside world,” the insider admits.
Dating someone is one thing. Publicly dating means inviting the scrutiny of millions.
The source explains: “She hates being defined by the people she doesn’t know on who she dates or doesn’t date.”
We can absolutely understand that.
Additionally, Selena apparently resents the amount of speculation that follows her every association.
“She can’t hang out with anyone without it turning into something,” the insider laments.
“And,” the source continues. “She knows it scares away the chance of love.”
That sounds so grim!
It’s a real obstacle, the insider explains, “because there are so many more layers to break through for any suitors that might want to be with her.”
Selena also worries that her fame and personal history drives away the sorts of men she would most like to be with.
“People don’t want to be with her,” the source fears. “Because it comes with so much more baggage.”
That is so unfair!
“She is trying to figure that out for herself,” the insider affirms. “And once she does she will be more prone to start dating and putting herself out there.”
That is great to hear.
“Its a process she wouldn’t like to deal with,” the source admits. “But she knows that it is her life and she has to manage it appropriately.”
Another insider tells HollywoodLife that Selena can’t delete her Bieber pics.
“Selena’s friends,” the source confesses. “Caught her looking at old selfies of her and Justin on her phone.”
As the Nick Joseph meme says, oh no baby what is you doing?
“Selena says she has tried to delete a lot of their pics,” the insider reveals.
“But,” the source continues. “She just can’t bring herself to get rid of all of them.”
“The pics are sweet memories,” the insider explains. “And Selena likes to look at them once in a while.”
That’s normal. And nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
The source says: “Seeing pics of Justin and her smiling, happy together, remind Selena of the good times she had with Justin.”
“She gets emotional when looking at them,” the insider spills. “And does not want to get rid of them.”
This apparently remains the case “even though he is preparing to marry someone else.”
Look, nobody has an easy time letting go of the good times in their past, even if they’ve become bittersweet.
But it is nothing short of tragic that one of the most talented, beautiful stars on the planet is being cock-blocked by her own history.
We hope that she is able to overcome this hurdle soon.
Selena deserves all of the happiness in the world.
And Justin has never let his dating history or fame hold him back. Not even a little.

Selena Gomez: Pining After Justin Bieber, Wishing SHE Were His Fiancee?!
There have been recent claims that Justin Bieber always knew that Hailey Baldwin was the one, even while he was with Selena Gomez.
So it’s only natural that we’re hearing from Selena’s camp on Justin, Hailey, and their looming nuptials.
According to one source, Selena hopes that the fateful wedding day never arrives.
According to HollywoodLife, a source close to Selena Gomez says that she is hoping that Justin and Hailey never make it to the altar.
The insider claims that “Selena is quietly, secretly hoping and praying that Justin never goes through with his marriage to Hailey.”
The source says that, despite having broken up with the Biebs for what many fans hope will be the final time earlier this year, Selena is waxing nostalgic about her time with him.
“The times Selena was most happy in life were days when she was with Justin,” the source claims.
“And she always thought she would be the one marrying him,” the insider reveals. “Not Hailey.”
Justin and Hailey are engaged, though some very believable reports say that they’re not rushing and are instead waiting until next year.
But this source says that any delay is music to Selena’s ears.
“Selena can’t help but feel like the longer Justin and Hailey stay engaged the less likely they will actually get married,” the source claims.
She and Justin have a long history and, despite their many troubles, she allegedly feels that they’re not done with each other.
“Selena fears a marriage between Justin and Hailey would crush her,” the insider describes.
That said, if you’re waiting for her to rush in like a lovesick fool and ask Justin to take her back … don’t hold your breath.
“Selena would never interfere with Justin’s relationship with Hailey though,” the source clarifies.
“So,” the insider continues. “She is not going to say anything to him.”
Well, that sounds healthy.
“But she also feels that as long as Justin and Hailey do not get married,” the source says. “She stands a better chance at having her own happy ending with Justin.”
It’s sort of odd to hear that Selena is still pining after Justin.
One would imagine that, after their latest reconnection didn’t pan out, she would have realized that they are simply not meant to be.
He may no longer have the same alleged substance issues that he had through the bulk of his relationship with Selena.
But sometimes, as Selena herself no doubt discovered last winter, a person’s individual failings can go deeper than, say, struggles with sobriety.
Does Selena really want to relive that, only to learn the same hard lesson again?
Here is what we are totally willing to believe: that Selena Gomez is hoping and perhaps even praying that Justin and Hailey’s wedding day never arrives.
Why? Because Selena is a good person.
And she wouldn’t want Hailey’s life to be defined by making the same mistake that Selena has made multiple times, but amplified with marriage vows.
It’s very believable that Selena hopes that a younger, lovestruck woman can learn from her mistakes instead of repeating them.
The bit about wishing that she were engaged to Justin … we get the feeling that if that’s what Selena wanted, they’d be engaged.

Selena Gomez to Justin Bieber: Congrats on the Engagement, Jerk!
It’s been three weeks since Justin Bieber got engaged to Hailey Baldwin, and millions of Beliebers are still reeling in shock from the news.
Of course, no one was more shocked than Justin’s most famous ex, Selena Gomez.
Reports about Selena’s reaction have varied, but accounts concur that she was shocked by the engagement.
Some have claimed that Selena was happy to be rid of Justin for good, while others say she would do anything to win him back.
The former scenario was always much more believable, and it’s supported by a new report from Star Magazine.
The tabloid claims that Selena recently wrote a letter to Justin congratulating him on his engagement.
“Selena was initially blindsided by Justin’s wedding plans, but after lots of contemplation realized it’s for the best, and told him so in a letter,” a source told the tabloid.
“She told pals it gave her enormous closure, because it marked the end of a long, painful chapter of her life.”
The insider claims that with the mailing of the letter (frankly, we’re finding it tough to believe that Selena really still uses snail mail, but whatever), Selena felt that she had permanently turned the page on an important chapter in her life:
“Selena doesn’t want to be linked to Justin forever,” the insider said.
“She really just wants to get on with her life. She doesn’t want to be part of the Justin circus anymore.”
A separate source says Selena looks forward to a future in which she and Justin can enjoy a relationship as platonic friends and share memories of their time together:
“Selena hopes to get to a point where she looks back on her time with Justin fondly and moves on,” the insider claims.
“At the end of the day, she only wants the best for him.”
Well, if this report is accurate, then that’s awfully mature of Selena.
Of course, it’s no surprise that she would seize the opportunity to be the bigger person.
Not only has she always been much more emotionally evolved than Justin, she’s now unburdened of the baggage that may have prevented her from seeking out a relationship with someone who’s actually on her level.
It’s a win-win!

Selena Gomez Obliterates Instagram Record Once Held by Beyonce
Selena Gomez turned 26 over the weekend, and the photos from her birthday bash were dazzling.
The pics were so good, in fact, that the Instagram “likes” poured in with dizzying alacrity.
Selena’s birthday post got so much love so quickly that it absolutely destroyed the previous record … which had belonged to Beyonce herself.
While Hailey Baldwin enjoys Justin Bieber, for better or for worse, Selena Gomez is living her best life. It’s what she deserves.
Remember how Beyonce broke the internet with her twin reveal photo?
That pic received a staggering 7.8 million in only 12 hours.
The pregnancy reveal pic that preceded it received 6.4 million within the first few hours. Beyonce is a powerhouse, there’s no question.
But when the battleground is Instagram, Selena has no equal.
It took Selena’s birthday party post only 13 minutes to reach 1 million likes.
(The number of likes is currently near 9 million and will likely grow by the time that you even finish reading this sentence)
That’s no real surprise.
Selena Gomez has been the reigning champion when it comes to Instagram followers for some time. She is a social media titan and the one to beat.
Even those who come close — like Ariana Grande, Christiano Ronaldo, and Beyonce — can’t quite surpass her follower count.
Not yet, anyway.
Selena is also paid more for Instagram ads.
We all know that Instagram follower counts matter for more than just bragging rights and branding.
Celebrities, no matter how wealthy, can make a small fortune with a few normal photos of themselves, promoting one product or another.
Selena Gomez apparently makes a whopping $ 800,000 per Instagram endorsement. That means that she takes a photo wearing or holding a brand and makes more than three quarters of a million dollars.
Beyonce makes $ 700,000 per photo. Of course, price is based upon more than just follower counts. It also has a lot to do with things like social media engagement.
When it comes to Instagram ad prices, nobody beats out Kylie Jenner — who maks rakes in $ 1 million per pic.
It’s easy to frame this conversation as a competition.
A competition between Selena and Kylie over who makes the most per Instagram ad.
A competition between Beyonce and Selena over who has the most followers, or who got the most likes the fastest.
Instead, let’s keep this in perspective. This was a broken record. One day, perhaps very soon, someone else will get a million likes even faster than Selena.
Social media is fueled by the people on it, and there are more people every single day who sign up for Instagram and click that like button.
So, again, it’s not a competition. Though, if the race to a million likes were a competition … Selena is the current reigning champion.
Selena’s 26 birthday is a big deal.
Not because 26 is a huge milestone. It isn’t. Every birthday after 21 is a grim reminder that we all grow less socially relevant with each passing day as our bodies begin to fail and crumble beneath the weight of time.
No, this birthday is a huge deal because … there were genuine doubts that she would make it this far.
She has been battling Lupus for years. Just a little over a year ago, Selena was rushed to the hospital with kidney failure.
Had it not been for a life-saving kidney transplant, it’s unclear if Selena would still be among the living.
And even now, she continues to struggle with Lupus. Selena’s birthday is worth celebrating for that alone.

Justin Bieber Proposed to Hailey Baldwin to Get REVENGE on Selena Gomez!
Selena Gomez is rumored to be dating her friend’s 18-year-old brother, a guy named Caleb Stevens. She’s known him for years.
While some might assume that this is retaliation for Justin Bieber’s engagement to Hailey Baldwin, a report says that it’s the exact opposite.
It’s claimed that Justin proposed to Hailey because he was freaking out about Selena’s new romance. If that’s true … poor Hailey.
RadarOnline reports that Justin’s engagement to Hailey was, at least in part, revenge against Selena Gomez for her new fling with … Caleb Stevens.
So, a quick explainer: Raquelle Stevens is a lovely Instagram star whose primary claim to fame is arguably that she’s friends with Selena Gomez.
That’s a tall order on its own, honestly. A lot of hardcore Selenators follow Raquelle for that alone — and, of course, to catch Selena in her Instagram stories.
Raquelle has a brother, Caleb Stevens. And, according to RadarOnline, he and Selena have been hooking up for nearly a month.
And their sources report that, when Justin discovered this, he did not take it well — and it led directly to his proposal to Hailey Baldwin.
“Justin found out about Caleb in mid-June,” the insider says. “And he confronted Selena about it.”
That sounds almost unimaginably awkward.
“But Selena denied that anything was going on,” the source explains. “Because she didn’t want him to freak out.”
Justin has had a somewhat volatile history, and it makes sense that Selena would be concerned about his well-being even after their breakup.
“Needless to say,” the insider dishes. “After finding out from one of Raquelle’s friends that Selena and Caleb were hooking up, he freaked out and went absolutely ballistic.”
Yikes. That’s not a healthy response. But then, Justin believed that being with Selena was God’s plan.
So it sounds like Justin’s proposal to Hailey was less of an action and more of a reaction.
The insider declares: “Selena’s friends all know that the only reason he got engaged to her was to get back at Selena!”
If this is true, it is wildly unfair to Hailey Baldwin. She deserves the world, not to be some sort of twisted consolation prize.
Though Selena apparently tunes out a lot of entertainment news, she did hear whispers that people think that she’s dating Caleb to get revenge.
She laughs.
The source explains Selena’s attitude: “She thinks it’s hilarious that everyone assumes she is dating Caleb to get back at Justin when it is the other way around.”
Caleb has been spotted on set with Selena. Some suggest that they’re either dating or she just needed a younger male assistant and chose her friend’s brother for a weird summer internship.
“Selena has known Caleb for years,” the insider explains.
Elaborating, the source says: “He is not some random dude that came out of nowhere.”
In other words, this was not some rebound of Selena’s. This is not sounding like a meaningless fling.
“He has been a part of her life for a long time,” the insider concludes. “And this is why Justin was so bothered by it.”
“Justin knows that Caleb actually means something to Selena,” the source says. “And that is what makes him so angry”
We’re sorry that the Biebs allegedly feels that way, but even sorrier if he somehow channeled that anger into making a major life decision — for him and for Hailey.
Hailey is beautiful and sweet and she deserves to be happy. We certainly hope that Justin proposed to her for the right reasons.
But … if this was motivated by revenge or a desire to one-up Selena, that would explain why he popped the question after only a few weeks of dating.
Or, you know, it could be like what Ariana Grande says: “Love is lit.”
For now, it’s not yet officially confirmed that Selena is even dating Caleb. Let’s avoid jumping to too many conclusions.
But let’s remember that Justin is the last person with the right to be mad about Selena’s romantic choices.

Selena Gomez: Literally Drinking Herself to Death?!?
According to a bombshell new report and analysis, Selena Gomez is burying her Justin Bieber-related sorrow in alcohol these days.
And it may literally kill her.
Bieber, of course, stunned the free world over the weekend when he proposed to Hailey Baldwin.
The singer popped this major question to the model on Saturday Night in Las Vegas, despite only having dated her for a few months in 2016 and then again for a month or so this summer.
No matter, though, Bieber and Baldwin are engaged and fans around the globe are trying to come to grips with this reality.
They’re also wondering about Gomez.
How is she responding to this development with her (many times over) ex-boyfriend?
Is she truly angry, as one source claimed on Monday?
Or does she not care one bit, as another source claimed, because she grew sick and tired of Bieber’s lies and manipulations a long time ago, long before this news broke?
Hollywood Life wrote earlier in the week that Gomez was spotted at a bar in the Four Seasons hotel in New York City, throwing back shots.
So what, you’re probably asking.
She’s 25 years old and this wouldn’t be an abnormal reaction for anyone to have after a serious former lover gets engaged.
But here’s the thing: Selena Gomez has Lupus. It grew so serious last year that she had to get a kidney transplant.
As a result, alcohol can have an effect on the artist that it would not have on someone who does NOT have Lupus.
What kind of effect? A dangerous one.
Radar Online interviewed a rheumatologist named Dr. Robert Fafalak who spoke freely, for some reason, about someone he has never met and who he has never treated.
He risked his professional reputation to explain to this celebrity gossip site just what trouble Selena could be in if she continues this alleged habit.
“The fact that she’s taking what sounds like a very high amount of alcohol can definitely become threatening to not only making her lupus worse but therefore potentially threatening her life,” Fafalak said.
Good friend Francia Raisa donated a kidney to Gomez last year; that’s how severe a case of Lupus Gomez suffers from.
The condition makes her extra tired at times and has resulted in her need to take a break from touring and sometimes from the music business in general.
“Selena is playing with fire now and if she is, in fact, drinking again she will need to get help quick before it spirals out of control and kills her,” an insider tells Radar.
Fans have also been concerned about Selena’s mental state.
She entered rehab in the past for depression and anxiety and no one would blame her here if she relapsed in some way, shape or form.
But Bieber isn’t worth all that.
All we can really hope now is that Gomez realizes this and also realizes that alcohol never cures any problem; often times, in fact, it makes things worse.
Selena Gomez: Justin Bieber Seduced Hailey Baldwin With Lines He Used on Me!
Over the weekend, Justin Bieber proposed to Hailey Baldwin.
Now, a source close to Selena says that not only is she unbothered by her many-times ex’s engagement, she’s genuinely amused.
Because he tried all of those same lines on Selena before moving on to Hailey, his runner-up.
A source close to Selena tells RadarOnline that Selena doubts Justin’s feelings for Hailey.
Why?
Because the Beibs apparently used “those exact same words” that he used on Hailey not so long ago, but he was directing them at Selena.
This is said to have gone down “just a few months ago.” Which is not a great look for Justin and Hailey at the start of their engagement.
“Selena literally laughed her ass off when she read his Instagram post,” the insider says. “Because he used some of those cheesy lines with her very recently.”
Wow.
“Selena thinks that if Justin [were] really so in love with Hailey and ready to spend the rest of his life with her,” the source says. “He would not need to tell everyone on Instagram.”
That, at least, is debatable. The news had already broken, so Justin broke his silence to gush about his fiancee.
“Selena just feels bad for Hailey at this point,” the insider describes.
This sounds like genuine sympathy, rather than just shade.
“Because Hailey is a runner-up,” the source explains. “And she still said yes to him anyways.”
Selena and Justin were exes when, out of the blue, he started chatting her up, taking her on church dates, and suddenly they were back together.
Fast-forward a few months from their breakup, and he’s hanging out with Hailey again, taking Hailey to the same church dates, and just a few weeks later, asking her to become his wife.
“She had been chasing him for years,” the insider says of Hailey. “And she was a shoulder to cry on when things went bad with Selena.”
Hailey last dated the Biebs from 2015 to 2016. That also happened to be right on the heels of his relationship with Selena.
The source reveals: “Selena thinks that the two of them will be over before wedding preparations even begin!”
If you need on a refresher on exactly which words Selena thinks that Justin used on her and then on Selena, here is what Justin said on Instagram when he finally confirmed his engagement.
“Hailey I am soooo in love with everything about you!” Justin gushed. “So committed to spending my life getting to know every single part of you loving you patiently and kindLY.”
One can’t help but wonder how many of these phrases he used on Selena.
“I promise to lead our family with honor and integrity,” Justin wrote. “letting Jesus through his Holy Spirit guide us in everything we do and every decision we make.”
That first bit, about leading the family, is weird. Whatever, he and Hailey go to the same church so maybe she’s okay with that kind of 1950s language.
“My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS,” the Biebs affirmed. “And I will ALWAYS put you first!”
“You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin,” Justin said, though one wonders if he tried the same line on Selena. “And I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better and we compliment eachother so well!!”
He definitely meant to write complement, in case you think that he’s just saying that he and Hailey say nice things about each other.
Justin wrote that he “can’t wait for the best season of life yet!. It’s funny because now with you everything seems to make sense!”
That seems like another line that he could have easily used on Selena. We don’t know for sure, though.
“‘He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains FAVOR from the Lord!"” Justin quoted. “This is the year of favor!!!!”
It seemed to a lot of people that, when Jelena 2.0 (they dated way, way more times than twice) fizzled out, Justin just decided to try the exact same thing on another ex.
One might characterize Hailey as being the Biebs’ runner-up, though that would be unfair to Hailey.
Maybe Justin did use a lot of the same language when wooing both exes.
Of course, maybe that’s just how he talks.
But there’s a line between using familiar phrases and taking someone on the same dates and expressing the same feelings as if they were interchangeable.
We sincerely hope that Justin recognizes that Hailey is her own person.
