Kordell Stewart: The Real Housewives of Atlanta RUINED MY LIFE!
The Real Housewives of Atlanta was responsible for the demise of Kordell Stewart’s marriage, the NFL alumnus says in his new memoir.
Well, that and the minor detail that he was married to Porsha Williams.
Kordell was married to Porsha for just two years before it unraveled, as you know if you watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online.
Why? People watching The Real Housewives of Atlanta, according to him.
It’s not that the show single-handedly wrecked something amazing, but it didn’t help, making a tough situation demonstrably terrible.
“As I unlocked the doors and allowed Bravo’s camera crews into our house and our lives,” he writes, everything began to fall apart.
“All existing problems in our marriage seemed to be brought to light.”
The 44-year-old former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback is delving into the split in the forthcoming Truth: The Kordell Stewart Story.
“Over time,” he writes, “I felt like my only choice was to file for divorce.”
A single dad to pre-teen son Syre, he also accuses the series’ “lifestyle” of having a “negative impact” on his “young, impressionable” boy.
We don’t doubt that it did for one minute, but … had he never heard of Bravo, or the Real Housewives franchise, before signing up?
According to Stewart, divorce in the spotlight can get very, very ugly.
“The show made the divorce worse, but I chose to keep my mouth shut,” he says of his breakup with the mercurial, combative Porsha.
“Whenever you see people running their mouths about things, it’s difficult, especially when those things are not true,” he says.
“But the reality is that I have a child who is more important than a foolish reality TV show and people who are trying to make themselves relevant.”
Now, without Williams, “my family is ten times better,” he adds.
“I can be around my son and have the right, positive energy.”
Of course, drama – and Kordell Stewart gay rumors – followed the Colorado Buffaloes collegiate standout long after his divorce was finalized.
Porsha Williams herself hinted at his sexual orientation being something of a gray area, claiming her ex-husband didn’t want to have sex.
And tales of a sordid hookup resurfaced with the memoir.
“A Pittsburgh cop had supposedly arrested me in Schenley Park for performing lewd acts with a transvestite,” he recalls of a 1998 scandal. “
“The rumor was so absurd it was almost funny.”
Almost. But clearly not at all for the bitter Stewart.
Kordell later made a cameo on the series as an acquaintence of Claudia Jordan, but the two never took things out of the friend zone.
Porsha … has had quite the run in recent years.
Williams beat the f–k out Kenya Moore at a reunion taping that will go down in history even by the wild reality TV standards of today.
She was the subject of a police investigation and later demoted to “friend of the housewives” status, but is back in full force nowadays.

Andrew Caldwell Admits He Never Dated Kordell Stewart
Earlier this month, a man named Andrew Caldwell claimed to have dated Kordell Stewart while the former NFL star was still married to Porsha Wlliams.
Stewart accused Caldwell of lying and threatened to sue. Now, after weeks of standing by his story, Caldwell has admitted that he made the whole thing up.
Speaking with TMZ, Caldwell finally came clean and added that he’s no concerned about the suit filed by Stewart.
“It’s true, I never dated Kordell. But I’m not worried about the lawsuit. If Kordell wants money, he has money. I don’t owe him a dime.”
Caldwell goes on to say that he doesn’t believe Stewart has a case against him, but (and here’s where it really gets strange) he may file a counter-suit against Kordell.
“[What I said] did damage Kordell. He has a son. For his son to think, ‘Is my dad gay?’ That is damaging,” Caldwell said. “I may go after Kordell. Yes, I hurt his name, but he also hurt mine.”
It seems that Caldwell – who first made headlines as the star of a viral video in which he claimed that he was cured of being gay – should probably consult with a lawyer before he gives any more interviews.
For one thing, admitting that he damaged Stewart’s reputation is unlikely to help his case.
Additionally, if (when) Caldwell loses in court, it will probably have little to do with Stewart’s sexual orientation, and lots to do with Caldwell’s claim that he slept with and received gifts from a married man.

Andrew Caldwell: I Dated Kordell Stewart!
Viral video star Andrew Caldwell alleges that he is a one-time homosexual lover of former NFL and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kordell Stewart.
For years, Kordell Stewart gay rumors have surfaced off and on, even (or especially) during his marriage to RHOA cast member Porsha Williams.
Now Caldwell, who made headlines with a viral video in which he declared that he had been “delivered” from his homosexuality, says the two dated.
“I don’t like mens no more,” Caldwell famously declared, adding that he “I like women women women!” (Caldwell has since admitted that he’s still gay.)
Now he’s making news with a different proclamation.
“I dated Kordell,” he said in an interview with The ShakeUP Morning Show, adding that their affair was short-lived … but he made the most of it!
“I had everything that Porsha got… I had bags, purses, cars. I’m in a Jaguar right now. Honey, did you see that Jaguar over there?”
Caldwell explained how he and Kordell allegedly met.
“We was at a bar,” he says of himself and presumably some of his friends. “We was at a restaurant and I was like, ‘Oh my God, that’s Kordell.’
“They was like, ‘Yeah, he’s a football player.’ I was like, ‘Mmm… I like football players… I dated other football players too, I dated some of the Rams.”
Caldwell also admitted that he knew Kordell was married to Williams at the time, but isn’t all that sympathetic, adding: “I think she is a gold digger.”
“Girl, you know your husband was gay.”
Again, rumors that Porsha was Kordell’s beard were commonplace during their marriage, but seemed like nonsense tabloid fodder … until now.
