Justin Bieber Gets Destroyed By NHL Player; Internet Rejoices
Believe it or not, Justin Bieber is actually a pretty skilled hockey player.
The Biebs says he laces up the skates every chance he gets, and he’s displayed his talents in the past by posting videos of impressive plays to social media accounts.
But there’s a difference between schooling your friends in a pick-up game and actually taking the ice against guys who play for a living – a lesson Justin learned the hard way during this week’s NHL All-Star Celebrity Shootout:
That’s 6’6″ 220-pound former NHL defenseman Chris Pronger clearly enjoying the hell out of laying out a brutal body check on Bieber.
As you can see, Justin didn’t find the experience quite as enjoyable.
“I was giving him a little back massage in the corner,” Pronger said of the hit, which has been celebrated far and wide on social media.
Pronger actually went pretty light on Bieber, but the singer clearly didn’t appreciate the punishment.
Not surprisingly, the epic photo has made Pronger something of an Internet folk hero.
Pronger successfully pinned one of the celebrity world’s most notorious douche nozzles to the boards, even the head of the NHL’s Department of Player Safety got in on the act with a joke tweet that many believed to be legit:
“The Department of Player Safety will have a hearing tomorrow morning with Chris Pronger for his Check from Behind on @justinbieber,” Damian Echevarrietta tweeted.
Fortunately, he was kidding, and there’s no chance of Pronger being disciplined for his heroic deed.
To make the story even better, there’s an inspirational element to Bieber having his face smushed into the glass for our entertainment.
Pronger hasn’t played since 2011 due to severe post-concussion syndrome.
Though he’s not officially retired, he’s not expected to return to hockey.
The 42-year-old former MVP has said in in interviews that there was a time when he was unable to skate, and that he believed he would never be able to play hockey with his kids.
So for many fans, just seeing the man back on the ice was a treat.
The fact that he flattened Bieber was just the icing on the cake.

MLB Player Mansplains Birth Control to Jessica Chastain
On January 12, Jessica Chastain joined the chorus of angry Americans who are in disbelief over various ways Congress plans to destroy the Affordable Care Act.
Following the Senate voting to gut the ACA – an action that could force millions of women to pay for birth control out of their own pockets – the two-time Oscar nominee Tweeted her displeasure.
"#BirthControl is no longer covered by health insurance,” she wrote. “Congrats USA, you’re doing your part to keep women out of the work force.”
Chastain may have expected to receive some backlash for this remark.
But she probably didn"t expect to be lectured on birth control by Matt Garza, a journeyman Major League Baseball pitcher who posted a 4.51 ERA last year for Milwaukee.

Beyonce Fan FREAKS OUT Over Pokemon Go Player at Concert
What happens when the world’s most popular musician crosses path with the world’s most popular app?
One woman in France learned the hard and astonished way over the weekend.
Last Thursday, Beyonce brought her total and complete awesomeness to Stade de France.
But not everyone in attendance appreciated the artist.
While the beloved singer was on stage, one female attendee was seen playing the viral mobile game on her iPhone, angering a male fan seated behind her for two reasons:
1. This is a Beyonce concert. What are you doing?!?!?!?
2. Do you see where you are sitting?!?!?
There would be no excuse for playing Pokemon GO under any Beyonce-based circumstance.
But watch the following cell phone video and you’ll understand why this was particularly irritating. Look at this user’s seats!
“This bitch is playing Pokémon when Beyoncé’s singing! F–king Pokémon!” the irate Beyhive member yells in a video shared on his Instagram account.
He captioned the post:
“She’s lucky Solange never saw her.”
This is a pretty great callback to when Solange flipped out on Jay Z in an elevator a couple years ago.
As the fan scrolls his camera across the Paris-area stadium above, he can’t help but note:
“Look at where she is. Look at where she is! She’s next to the stage. This is the stage, [and] the bitch is playing Pokémon!”
He makes a good point, doesn’t he?
Mere later, Beyonce is seen singing “Me, Myself and I” and strutting down the catwalk, causing this same fan to forget why he was so upset in the first place.
“Never showering again,” he wrote after touching Beyonce’s hand.
Sadly, a Beyonce concert isn’t the most inappropriate place someone has been caught playing Pokemon Go of late.
It will be hard for anyone to top the reporter who actually played the game during a press briefing on ISIS.
We really wish we were making that up.
