Chris Evans & Jenny Slate: It"s Over!
There are two kinds of celebrity breakups:
The one percent that falls into the Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie category and makes grown men and women weep as though their own parents split up …
… and the other 99% where you’re like, were you’re all like, “Oh yeah, I forgot they were a thing.”
We think it’s safe to say Chris Evans and Jenny Slate fall firmly in the latter category.
In fairness, some folks seem mildly upset on social media, but they’re vastly outnumbered by the “OMFG Captain America is single!!!” crowd.
Anyway, Evans and Slate started dating back in May of last year.
Despite some early controversy (Many believed that Slate cheated on her husband with Evans. It now appears that they separated before she met the actor.) the couple moved quickly and seemed to get serious in a hurry.
In fact, at one point, it was rumored that Slate was pregnant with Evans’ baby.
That turned out not to be the case, and now it looks like the couple has called it quits.
Sources say the split was amicable and there was no single cause.
In a statement, the actors blamed the usual mix of busy schedules and too much work-related travel.
Both stars remained pretty tight-lipped about their relationship while they were together, but Slate occasionally let her guard down and gushed about.
“It’s kind of like I got my dream 7th grade boyfriend,” she told Entertainment Tonight at a premiere event.
“We didn’t know each other growing up, but we grew up about a half hour away from each other. We’ve been friends for a while.”
At Sundance just last month, Slate was asked about her relationship with Evans by Us Weekly.
“He’s such an amazing guy really in every way,” she replied.
Celebrity couples frequently claim they parted on good terms, but this time we’re actually inclined to believe it.
Evans and Slate both have reputations for being pretty chill, and it never really felt like they were super serious.
A source for the couple says they “remain very close friends.”
Well, that’s good.
Captain America is someone you want to have in your corner – which is probably something that Trump’s gonna tweet any minute now.

Jenny Slate: Did She Cheat With Chris Evans???
They are definitely together, but that’s not what has people talking.
The timing of Chris Evans and Jenny Slate’s coupling is being called into question, considering it happened right before Slate announced a separation from her husband of four years, Dean Fleischer-Camp.
Sources tell Star Magazine that Evans and Slate started getting cozy on the set of 2017’s Gifted, and they did a poor job of hiding it.
“Jenny’s feelings for Chris seemed to evolve quickly to more than just platonic,” a set insider told the tabloid.
“Some people even said they felt bad for Jenny’s husband the one time he visited the set. She didn’t seem too enthusiastic about Dean being there, and he probably sensed the chemistry between his wife and Chris.”
Fleisher-Camp directed and co-wrote Slate’s hugely famous short, Marcel The Shell With Shoes On.
A source told Us Weekly that the couple drifted apart towards the end of their marriage, made all the more obvious by her chemistry with Evans, a fellow Massachusetts native.
“It certainly has the appearance of Chris and Jenny’s relationship having contributed to her marriage crumbling – and I’m sure Jenny would just like to sweep it under the rug,” another source told Star.
Evans’ rep was quick to point out that he and Evans didn’t start dating until April, after she and Fleischer-Camp split, but before their announcement.
Evans accompanied Slate to the premiere of The Secret Life of Pets, but managed to escape the red carpet before Slate did interviews.
“Jenny and Chris walked the carpet together, but he fled the scene when she was being interviewed because it was obvious he did not want to answer questions about their relationship.”
Fleischer-Camp’s heart might be broken, but true love lives on! At least some of Slate’s friends seem to think so.
“Maybe something good will come from all of this. Maybe Chris and Jenny were meant for each other – and if that’s the case, who’s to say they shouldn’t be happy together?”

Chris Evans & Jenny Slate: Yep, They"re Really a Couple!
Last month, a little rumor flew on our radar about the possibility of Chris Evans dating Jenny Slate.
In fact, some say Slate dumped her husband of four years, Dean Fleischer-Camp, for the actor.
Reports of Evans and Slate"s dalliance hit right just after she separated from Fleischer-Camp, and this new couple seemed just random enough to be true.
And now, a few weeks later, Captain America and the quirky comedian have gone public.
Yep, they"re a bona fide couple, folks!
The pair hit the red carpet for the premiere of Slate"s animated film The Secret Life of Pets, and she opened up to ET about their romance.
When asked about their first appearance together, Slate confirmed they were an item.
"I haven"t really had a large premiere before, so it"s nice to have someone who knows how it goes," she said of having Evans with her for the premiere.
Evans, of course, rose to fame portraying Captain America in a number of big budget films about the Marvel character, so he"s been on many a red carpet in the past.
"And also, honestly, we"re just like both two teenagers from Massachusets so it kinda feels like I got my dream seventh grade boyfriend," she continued.
Uh, yeah. Most would agree that Chris Evans is a dream boyfriend regardless of age.
"We didn"t know each other growing up but we grew up about a half an hour from each other and we"ve been friends for a while, and… yeah," she added.
Slate did not, however, comment on the rumor that she was pregnant with Evan"s baby, probably because it was based solely on a tweet she posted about throwing up in the middle of the night, which could"ve just been attributed to a bad taco or something.
Evans and Slate met on the set of the upcoming film Gifted, on which they found mad chemistry together.
"Oddly enough, I"ve only known Jenny for a few months, which is insane to say because we"re like the same animal," Evans said of his co-star and now girlfriend.
If you"ve never heard of Slate, we suggest you get to know her.
Her indie flick Obvious Child won rave reviews and her appearances on Girls, House of Lies and Parks and Recreation are excellence showcases of her intelligence, wit and offbeat charm.

Jenny Slate: Pregnant With Chris Evans" Baby?!
Last week, we reported that Jenny Slate and Chris Evans appear to be dating.
The relationship stirred up a good deal of controversy from the start, as several sources claimed that Slate was still married to Dean Fleischer-Camp when she started her relationship with Evans.
Now, the Internet is once again taking an interest in Slevans as a result of murmurs that Jenny is knocked up with Chris’ baby.
The rumor started over the weekend, when Slate posted a late night tweet about getting sick in the middle of the night.
“I woke up in the middle of the night all sweaty& then barfed for no reason. In conclusion: I’m 7?”
She followed that up with a tweet about her miraculous recovery:
“Yes I was up all night throwing up but now I feel DOUBLE JOY for feeling better& walking through beautiful Brooklyn on a Saturday. Hiyeee!”
With her love of Brooklyn and open discussions about bodily functions, you might think that Slate is simply taking the Lena Dunham approach to social media and trying to score a spinoff for the character she played on Girls.
That may be, but most fans are under the impression that Slate is either pregnant or doing some serious trolling.
“Mini Cap on the way?” one fan tweeted, thus igniting a firestorm of speculation.
Jenny has yet to respond, and this is one of those situations where her silence could speak volumes.
Of course, she and Evans have yet to confirm that they’re dating, so if she is pregnant (big “if,” at this point), there’s no guarantee that it’s Evans’.
We’re hoping the rumors are true, but only because we like these two as a couple.
And obviously they’d breed impossibly attractive, witty humans, and the world could always use more of those.

Jenny Slate: Comedian Dumps Her Husband For Chris Evans?!
Actress and comedian Jenny Slate is one of those entertainers whom you’ve almost certainly seen before, but you’ve probably given little to no thought to her personal life.
Frankly, she probably preferred it that way.
But like it or not, Ms. Slate’s name is making the rounds in the world of celebrity gossip today thanks to a rumored love triangle involving none other than Captain America himself.
Sources say Slate and Chris Evans are a full-blown couple these days, which is odd, as Slate has been married to Dean Fleischer-Camp since 2012.
Apparently, Slate and Camp separated last week – not long after Slate and Evans wrapped filming on the upcoming drama Gifted.
In retrospect all the signs were there.
The actors recently gushed about one another during an episode of Anna Faris’ podcast:
“I didn’t know what to expect when I met Chris. I was a little scared because I kind of felt like, Well, I don’t know him. He’s a giant man with huge muscles and he’s Captain America. How could we ever connect?” Slate said.
“[But the] first night that we hung out, I was like, Wow, I could hang out with Chris for, like, 90 hours.”
Evans echoed the sentiment, saying, “Oddly enough, I’ve only known Jenny for a few months, which is insane to say because we’re like the same animal.”
In the past, Evans has been linked to Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Olsen, Minka Kelly, and Sandra Bullock.
It may sound like he gets around, but friends say Evans is actually a serial monogamist who’s just looking for the right girl.
In any case, they may have started under sketchy circumstances, but we like Evans and Slate as a couple.
If for no other reason than Slate deserves more starring roles, and someone with Chris’ clout might be able to make it happen, we hope these two work out.
