The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 Episode 12 Recap: Beauty and the Beat

Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta saw a crash course in parenting, a birthday behind bars and a make-up free brunch.

You know. As you do in the ATL. Let’s break it on down …

Picking up where last week left off, The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 Episode 12 saw Kim Fields throw an event for the ages.

If you watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online, you know she’s been struggling for screen time this season. Well, problem solved.

Kim decided to throw a “beat less” brunch, meaning women should come with minimal makeup. On this show, that’s quite the request.

Kandi Burruss, despite her strong reservations, followed the rules, as did Phaedra Parks, Sheree Whitfield and Cynthia Bailey alike.

Porsha Williams did not because she was coming straight from Dish Nation. Kenya Moore did not … because she didn’t feel like it.

“I’m a grown a$ $ woman,” Kenya declared, believing that the entire concept was a personal attack on her personal make-up usage.

“I don’t need to be told what I look like to others. If I go out looking like a clown or garish, that’s how I choose to present myself.”

“I don’t think anybody should tell me how I should look,” she went on, and that’s what I didn’t appreciate in the invitation.”

Moore also isn’t a fan of Fields’ work, to put it mildly.

“She is so freaking pompous and arrogant,” Kenya said. “Tyler Perry literally directed the episode she was supposed to be directing.”

In any event, Kim encouraged the ladies to admire their “natural” beauty and gives them a pen and paper to write a poem on the topic.

Kenya, to put it mildly, was not a fan of the exercise.

“Where is the natural beauty, because you have two boob jobs and you’re wearing a wig,” Moore said. “Is that part of your poem?”

Kim said she wasn’t shading anybody, however.

“This is a celebration,” she said. You buy it?

Meanwhile, Phaedra and Ayden got creative to in order celebrate Apollo’s birthday, as he’ll be behind bars for the next eight YEARS.

Also, Kandi and Todd Tucker meet with a baby instructor who recommends breastfeeding until their youngster is 3-4 years old.

Kandi is even less cool with that than wearing no makeup. As for Todd, he’s never had to deal with a newborn before, so …

He didn’t do a bad job changing diapers, but a real kid might be a little bit toughter. Todd also wants a nanny. [Crickets.]

Monty Brinson, Ex-Husband of Kim Richards, Dies at 58

Monty Brinson, the ex-husband of reality star Kim Richards and the father of her daughter Brooke, died on Sunday after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He was 58 years old.

Rick Hilton – Brinson’s former brother-in-law, who is married to Richards’ half-sister Kathy – confirmed the sad news on Instagram last night, writing:

“We have lost Monty Brinson after a brave battle with cancer. His heart was a big as the moon and he was loved by all he Met. He will be sorely missed. I love You always!”

The ex-Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member and Brinson were married for three years and shared a daughter together.

They divorced way back in 1988, yet remained far closer than most former spouses remain. They even lived together recently as Brinson’s health grew worse.

Brinson, an heir to a supermarket franchise, was a strong and outspoken supporter of Richards over the years, defending her last in 2015 she was arrested twice and spent time in rehab.

“All I will say at this time besides being best friends, and personally a person who has a great heart is thankful to all her fans and friends for believing in her,” he wrote of Kim last year.

“Personally I have not seen her but we speak everyday. Do I know everything absolutely. Do I take up for my family and friends absolutely. Do I say it like it is. Absolutely.”

We send our condolences to Brinson’s loved ones.

Kanye West Finishes "Best Album Of All Time"

Kanye West is prepared to make history.

A few weeks after revealing the release date of his next studio album (FEBRUARY 11!!!!!), the rapper has used social media to provide fans with an exciting update.

Very early Monday morning, Mr. Kim Kardashian Tweeted a handwritten list of the 10 tracks that made the cut for his seventh solo album.

The songs are titled “Nina Chop,” “Father Stretch My Hands,” “Waves,” “High Lights,” “30 Hours,” “No More Parties in L.A.,” “FML,” “Fade,” “Real Friends” and “Wolves.”

Along with these titles, West humbly wrote the following to his millions of followers:

“So happy to be finished with the best album of all time.”

Check out the list below and take note of a certain message at the bottom:

HA!

It looks like Kylie Jenner made a point to leave an impression at the album listening party hosted by Kanye on Saturday night.

A number of the singles that made this cut have been previously released, including Kanye’s recent G.O.O.D. Friday offerings “Real Friends” with Ty Dolla $ ign and “No More Parties in L.A.,” featuring Kendrick Lamar.

Also to be included on “Swish” will be “Wolves,” which West performed last year with collaborators Sia and Vic Mensa on Saturday Night Live.

But whatever.

We have a strong feeling many folks will purchase this album regardless of already having heard a number of its tracks.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 11 Episode 10 Recap: Ill Communication

Last night on Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 11 Episode 10, Kris Jenner attempted to quash the never-ending family bickering.

We know: Good luck with that endeavor! But seriously folks …

If you watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online, or read any celebrity news, you know Kris Jenner basically coined the term Momager.

Heck, she even tried to trademark the term Momager.

Well, things came to a head last night with Kylie Jenner, the rising star of the family brand, frustrated with everyone for being too controlling.

Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian was livid with Kris for overbooking her. We can’t imagine why, Khloe hasn’t been doing much at all lately.

Now that Kylie’s got her own place, she made it clear she wanted a “chill” housewarming party, not … anything planned by Kris Jenner.

Clearly, the family didn’t get the message and kept trying to plan a huge event for her. Kylie kept insisting she’s 18 and all grown up now.

Seriously, she’s an adult! Just ask Tyga!

It got so bad that she called Caitlyn Jenner for advice, and at least her dad told her to make own decisions and plan the party her way.

As for the older girls, Kim and Kris bet $ 1 million over marble slabs, but the much bigger issue was that Khloe is feeling terribly overworked.

Between her book Strong Looks Better Naked, DASH, and appearances for like 19 reality shows, she told Kris to ease up the workload.

“What’s more important, [work] or your daughter’s sanity?” Khloe lashed out at one point, and raising a rather important point at that.

Kris and the producers, writers and editors then came up with the grand idea of the girls see a communication therapist to help them.

They eventually agreed … only Kris was actually in Paris and didn’t attend. Kourtney, Kim and Khloe then decided on a revenge prank.

Summoning the Momager under the auspices of passing on what they learned in therapy, they peppered Kris with family trivia questions.

It was all in good fun, and ended with Kris Jenner dunked in water and pied in the face, so really, what more needs to be said, right?
