The Bachelor Preview: Is Ben Higgins the New Jason Mesnick?

An extended preview for The Bachelor last night hints at Ben Higgins following an absolutely stunning pattern from years past.

One that the star could ask Jason Mesnick about.

If you read The Bachelor spoilers, well, you know how this season supposedly turns out, but many blanks must still be filled in.

The latest promo could be the handiwork of a master editing team (okay, it definitely is that), or a hint of crazy drama to come.

Maybe a little of both? We"ll have to wait and see.

It sure looks like that when Ben gets down to two bachelorettes, however, he sends one home, then changes his mind at the last minute.

Ben is in love with two women, we"re told … no doubt as misdirection to combat the widely accepted notion that Lauren Bushnell wins.

“I love both of them,” Ben says in the promo, pretending to look distraught. “They’re too good to walk away from, and I just don’t know.”

“I have to say goodbye to a woman that doesn’t deserve it."

"It doesn’t feel right. This is the biggest mistake I’ve made and I want to keep her in my life … I don’t want to say goodbye."

""Cause that’s how much I love her.”

Meanwhile, when Ben"s about to propose to the other girl – or so it appears – he’s losing his mind thinking about the first one he cut loose.

No, for reals! Ben says: “I’m about to get on one knee and ask a woman to marry me, unfortunately I just love somebody else more.”

Jason Mesnick, of course, chose Melissa Rycroft with his final rose, only to pull a 180 after the cameras stopped rolling and break up.

On the After the Final Rose special, he asked out runner-up Molly Malaney … who he went on to marry. Pretty incredible, to be honest.

It doesn"t sound like Ben is ready to copy that strategy exactly, but he does look like he"s in the throes of similar, emotional indecision.

"There was a time when I couldn’t imagine saying goodbye to you, but I know that I’m always going to miss you,” Ben tells one woman.

Damn. This is either brilliantly choreographed or it"s going to be intense, but rest assured, he feels good about how it turns out.

“And now I’m going to ask a woman to love me for the rest of her life, cause I’m ready, I’m really ready,” quoth The Bachelor.

Oh, and it looks like Kaitlyn Bristowe may be making a cameo. We can only hope there"s a Snapchat video involved. Peep it:

Tori Spelling: Covering Dean McDermott"s Child Support Payments?!

Lots of famous people have experienced financial troubles over the years, but they usually wind up “celebrity broke,” which means they downgrade from a Bentley to a Benz.

Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, on the other hand, have gone full-blown, regular folk, broke-ass broke, and as you might expect, Tori – who was born into a fabulously wealthy family and began pulling in 7-figure salaries while still in her teens – isn’t coping very well.

Last week, we learned that Tori is being sued by American Express for defaulting on her credit card.

Embarrassingly, court documents reveal that Spelling hasn’t made a payment on her outstanding balance of $ 38,000 since June, when she wrote a $ 1,000 check to the company and it bounced.

Yesterday, we reported that Tori and Dean made a major real estate downgrade, leaving their home in posh Calabasas for a rental property in middle class Encino.

Tori’s mom Candy reportedly paid for the relocation, but she’s stated that she will not pay Tori and Dean’s debts.

That includes Tori’s AmEx bill – and Dean’s back child support.

Yes, according to Radar Online, Tori recently suffered the indignity of foregoing her own expenses in order to cut a $ 45,000 check to Dean’s ex-wife, Mary Jo Eustace.

“Tori is paying for everything,” a source close to the situation tells the site.

The insider adds that “Tori is not happy with Dean,” and she’s been openly wondering “why she stays with him.”

Dean’s son Jack is now living with Tori and Dean, so for the time being, they won’t have to make any further payments to Eustace.

But we imagine it’s getting pretty cramped in those new Encino digs.

Lamar Odom"s Recovery: It"s a Miracle!

It was less than five months ago that no one thought he would survive.

Now, it looks like Lamar Odom may make a near-full recovery from his October 2015 overdose at a Nevada brothel.

At the time, sources told TMZ that Odom’s prognosis didn’t look good after he was rushed to the hospital.

A woman at Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch South found Odom unconscious in his room, and the manager saw “mucus-type liquid” coming out of Odom’s mouth and nose upon rolling him on his side.

The former NBA player had to be intubated, and his condition was listed as “critical,” while his heart was failing and his kidney and lung functions were in serious trouble.

During those first few weeks, Odom suffered 12 strokes, enough to damage his motor skills indefinitely.  When he finally did wake up from his coma, Odom was unable to recognize family members and could only speak a few works.

Now, Odom appears to have been given a new lease on life.  After beling released from Cedars Sinani Medical Center in Los Angeles, Khloe Kardashian moved him into a home in her gated community, where’s he being looked after.

“Lamar’s cognitive functions have significantly returned,” TMZ reports.  “He’s able to process thoughts, speak them and carry on conversations.”

Although he’s still “a bit slow,” Odom issues are not what they once were.  His memory will lapse from time to time and speaking can be an issue.  

Still, Odom’s hike with Khloe and Kim on Sunday is an indication that he is making huge strides in his recovery.

A source said that Odom’s goal is to not only run again, but to get back into the NBA.

Leah Messer: DUMPED By Jeremy Calvert For Brooke Wehr?!

It’s tough to keep up with everything that’s going on in Leah Messer’s love life, but here’s a brief rundown of recent events:

Last week, Leah broke up with T.R. Dues after five months of what appeared to be a very serious relationship.

Shortly thereafter, it was rumored that Leah was back with Jeremy Calvert – her second husband and father of her youngest child. 

Unfortunately for Leah, if she dropped Dues in hopes of convincing the Calvert that she’s serious about giving their marriage another chance, then she may have bet on the wrong horse.

Radar Online is reporting today that Jeremy is back together Brooke Wehr, whom he began dating shortly after the end of his marriage with Leah.

“They are really happy together,” says a source close to the situation.

Jeremy seems to have confirmed the reconciliation just yesterday, posting a photo of Brooke along with a caption reading, “We had our ups and downs, but only to make us stronger.”

Calvert and Wehr split briefly last year, and it was during that time that he reportedly began exchanging flirty text messaged with Leah.

Now, it seems Leah may have overplayed her hand and falsely assumed that Jeremy was interested in giving their marriage another chance.

Just another fumble in the notoriously unlucky love life of Ms. Messer.
