Lee Reherman Dies; American Gladiators Star Was 49

Lee Reherman – the actor and athlete best known for his work as Hawk on American Gladiators – has passed away at the age of 49.

A rep for Reherman says his girlfriend discovered his body inside his Manhattan Beach, California this morning.

No cause of death has been determined, but Reherman had reportedly been complaining that he was not feeling well in the days leading up to his death.

A former football standout at Cornell University, Reherman attended the Miami Dolphins training camp after graduation, in hopes of earning a spot on the team’s offensive line.

He didn’t make the cut, but he did continue his education, eventually earning his MBA from UCLA. He was working on a PhD when Hollywood came calling.

Though most famous for the impressive athletic feats he performed on Gladiators each week, Reherman also racked dozens of acting credits over the course of his career.

In addition to his work in hit films and television shows like Columbo, Last Action Hero, The X Files, NCIS, and Jane The Virgin, Reherman also lent his voice to a number of popular video games, including Dead Rising 3 and the Ghost Recon series.

Law enforcement officials say there is no sign of foul play, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine Reherman’s cause of death.

Lena Dunham Slams Magazine For Photoshop; Publishers Hit Back

After a middling (at best) third season, Girls is off to a strong start in its fourth go-round, and even more impressively, the show’s co-creator and star, Lena Dunham, has kept things mostly controversy-free throughout the pre-season promotional blitz.

Unfortunately, it looks like as of today, Lena will have to re-set the “days since last public feud with a major publication” sign that undoubtedly hangs beneath an Edison light bulb in her Brooklyn office that we’re gonna assume was converted from a meat packing plant, or some other such hipster cliche.

The 29-year-old’s latest tiff stems from the above cover of the Spanish-language pop culture magazine El Pais Tentaciones.

Dunham posted a photo of the cover on Instagram, along with the following caption:

“This is NOT what my body has ever looked like or will ever look like – the magazine has done more than the average photoshop…If you’re into what I do, why not be honest with your readers?”

Surprisingly, the staff at Tentaciones immediately shot back with a statement in which they not only deny any Photoshop wrongdoing, but also claim that a copy of the original photo was sent to Lena’s team, who approved it for publication.

Even if Lena is just stirring up controversy or simply mistaken, it’s obviously not as bad as the time she compared online criticism to domestic abuse, and it’s certainly not as bad as when she wrote about inappropriately touching her sister in her memoir.

Hell, it’s not even as bad as the time she played Homer’s mistress on an episode of The Simpsons (arguably her most underrated scandal), but if someone on her staff really did sign off on the photo, she may have pointed a finger in the wrong direction.
