Val Chmerkovskiy: Wants Michael Strahan"s Job on Live!?

Now that we’ve learned Michael Strahan’s departure from Live! With Kelly and Michael has been expedited, producers are hunting voraciously to find a new co-host for the show.

Sources claim host Kelly Ripa is gunning for her good friend Anderson Cooper, but he’s more of a newsy guy, so fans are skeptical he’ll actually take the gig.

Might she be open to a hot Ukrainian dancer with a sexy accent and a body that won’t quit?

Because if so, Val Chmerkovskiy just threw his hat in the ring.

After a performance on Dancing With the Stars, E! News caught up with him and partner Ginger Zee, who is the meteorologist at Good Morning America.

Zee told the interviewer that she is looking forward to Strahan joining the team as an anchor at GMA.

“I love having him,” she said. “We’ve had him obviously for a couple of years, a couple days a week.

“I love Michael Strahan and he’s going to be a great addition and he’s wonderful!” she added.

When asked about possible replacements for Strahan on Live!, Chmerkovskiy cut in and made his ambitions known.

“Look, I’m in,” revealed the dancer.

“Michael is going to come on Dancing With the Stars, and I could go and help out with Kelly.”

“There you go, problem solved!” he added.

At this point, it seems Ripa would be happy to see anyone occupying her co-host’s seat, so long as it’s not Strahan.

She has reportedly not been holding back her contempt for the former NFL player and can’t wait till he leaves this Friday.

Christina Aguilera: Performing Duet With Whitney Houston Hologram on The Voice??

This is either going to be super awesome or horrifically creepy.

Perhaps a bit of both.

Christina Aguilera is reportedly slated to perform a duet with a hologram of the late Whitney Houston on The Voice, a source tells Entertainment Tonight.

Rumors surfaced that Houston"s hologram would make an appearance on the show last week, but so far, Aguilera admits nothing.

"I am sworn to secrecy," she said.

"I can"t say anything, but I"m very excited about the finale. Very exciting things happening."

NBC declined to comment as well.

Houston, who has been nicknamed "THE Voice," is regarded as one of the greatest singers ever to live, as coaches on the singing competition are often heard repeating.

Contestants who perform Houston songs do so at their own peril, as the coaches are quick to compare and scrutinize, usually unfavorably.

However, Aguilera is also highly respected for her talent and is considered by many to be one of the greatest living vocalists.

Putting these two together could result in an immaculate harmony of runs and high notes, but fans aren"t necessarily thrilled.

"No disrespect to Christina Aguilera, but why is a Whitney Houston hologram not just Whitney by herself? Is NBC paying for it or something?" wrote one critic on Twitter.

"Can people not sing Whitney Houston songs or even sing with a hologram of her please. It will never sound good," tweeted another.

Black Twitter also expressed its displeasure with the pairing.

"Whitney Houston"s hologram in my opinion should be sang with by a black woman IMO. But that"s just me. Don"t @ me," wrote one user.

Two years ago, Michael Jackson"s hologram made its debut, and fans raved at how real it appeared.

But the Jackson"s holographic rendering performed solo.

We have to wonder if it would have received the same backlash if Justin Timberlake appeared alongside the King of Pop"s image.

 

Leah Messer: I"m NOT Dating T.R. Dues! Why Doesn"t Anyone Believe Me?!

Yesterday, we reported that Leah Messer is most likely back together with boyfriend T.R. Dues.

Mind you, this observation wasn’t based on hearsay or some unverified tabloid rumor, but rather on a tweet that Leah posted herself:

“Some couples are just madeee for each other! You know what they say. There is someone for everyone,” Leah tweeted.

Certainly sounds like someone who’s in a relationship, don’t ya think?

But today Leah is saying that the idea of anyone even thinking she’s back with T.R. makes her laugh.

In fact, it makes her roll on the floor laughing:

“The fact that my tweet in no way meant I am in a relationship and was about another couple I seen has me ROFL. #CantDeal LOL.

“Can we not find something better to discuss in the media, ya kno? Like how I’m buying my first home with MY DAUGHTERS!”

We totally thought she was gonna end that with “US forces rolling back ISIS,” or “tornadoes ravaging the Midwest,” or “Steph Curry nailing epic threes from way downtown,” but no.

Leah wants the media to continue covering Leah, but ya know – stuff that makes her look super adult and stuff.

As for whether or not she’s living with Dues, well we don’t know but there are lots of people with inside knowledge who seem to think that they’re at least dating again.

“He may not be living with Leah full time but they are still together and is seen at the house all the time,” one insider told The Ashley’s Reality Roundup on Friday.

“Leah is actually about to move (again) but she hasn’t really talked about whether or not T.R. will live with her at the new place.”

Add to that the fact that Leah’s neighbors have confirmed that T.R. comes and goes from the house on an almost daily basis, and it begins to sound like there’s at least a friends-with-benefits arrangement going on.
