Watch Castle Online: Check Out Season 8 Episode 22

That is, sadly, a wrap.

Following weeks of controversy and turmoil, with many believing Castle would be renewed for a ninth season WITHOUT Stana Katic, ABC went ahead and pulled the plug on this popular series.

Which meant, of course, that Castle Season 8 Episode 22 would serve as a series finale.

It centered on lives being endangered unexpectedly when Castle and Beckett got ready to take on LokSat.

Did everyone survive the finale? Did you cry? Only once? Can you believe Castle has come to an end?

Fortunately, you can always visit our friends at TV Fanatic to watch Castle online and relive all the episodes. Click above to see what we mean.

Castle Season 8 Episode 22 Recap: Who Survived?

So there you have it, television viewers.

THAT is how you royally screw up the end of a beloved series.

Several weeks ago, word leaked that Stana Katic would not be asked back for Castle Season 9, were ABC to pick up the show for a ninth season.

Once it became known that star Nathan Fillion had signed a new deal, and that Season 9 looked like a strong possibility, Twitter took action.

Long-time fans of the drama aired their grievances over the social network, actually urging ABC to cancel Castle because they preferred to see the show come to an end than to watch it without one half of its two main characters.

Especially when the only plausible way for Kate Beckett to be written out would have been for her to be killed off.

Proving the power of social media, these complaints were clearly heard and Castle was officially canceled just a few days prior to Castle Season 8 Episode 22 airing on Monday night.

The final centered on Rick and Kate finally tracking down the mysterious LokSat, who turned out to be Gerald McRaney’s Mason Wood, who they killed, along with shady lawyer Caleb Brown.

But Brown was shot and killed by Beckett only after stormed Castle’s residence and got into a shootout with our heroes.

Beckett ended his life, but multiple sources confirm Castle Season 8 would have ended with Beckett’s life hanging in the balance, were ABC to have picked it up for Season 9.

Instead, the hastily-put-together alternative ending was filmed, which featured a seven-year time jump and a look at Castle and Beckett as the parents of three young kids, happily sharing coffee and breakfast with them in the morning.

And that was it.

Perhaps aware that fans would be aghast of the rushed conclusion, one that they clearly hadn’t planned on airing because they anticipated a ninth season, executive producers Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul shared an open letter immediately after the finale wrapped up.

It read as follows:

While we’re still trying to process all the emotions stirred up by recent events, the feeling that stands head and shoulders above all else, is gratitude.

Eight seasons. A hundred and seventy three episodes.

None of it would have been possible without you — our loyal and passionate fans. You are the reason this show survived and thrived. Without you carving out “Castle Mondays” every week, we would never have been able to make the show we love for as long as we did.

So thank you.

And thanks to Andrew Marlowe for creating such a delightful world, centered around a love story for the ages. It was an honor and privilege to shepherd the story of Castle and Beckett this season.

And finally, thank you to our cast and crew, who have been our family for these last eight years. Who elevated every script by investing the best of themselves into each episode. We will miss you profoundly.

Dancing With the Stars Results: Who Made the Season 22 Finals?

After last week’s elimination of Jodie Sweetin, Dancing With the Stars had this going for it if nothing else on Monday’s results show:

There’s no way that level of bulls–t could be topped!

Still, a double elimination night is guaranteed to spark controversy, especially late in the game when everyone left has a lot of support.

Heading into last night, and this season in general, Wanya Morris and Nyle DiMarco felt like the two with the most rhythm, style and talent.

The former, however, never quite reached his potential.

A semifinal elimination, along with partner Lindsay Arnold, was at once surprising and not for the singer, who couldn’t reach his pinnacle.

Conversely, Antonio Brown, who was also eliminated, came on strong later in the season after a slow start, but it wasn’t quite enough.

A lackluster beginning this spring gave way to a man possessed, an athlete who worked with Sharna Burgess to achieve true greatness.

He may have been the weakest of the remaining five dancers heading into Monday’s competition, but he left everything on the floor.

That leaves just three stars remaining to vie for the crown:

Nyle DiMarco, Paige VanZant, and Ginger Zee are your finalists, set to battle it out for that coveted gold piece of hardware, the Mirrorball.

Is it the right trio to finish out the season? Most likely.

Is Dancing With the Stars is rigged in favor of Nyle? The jury is still out on that one, but conspiracy theories abound as they often do.

What do you think? Did America get it right? Who will take home the Mirror Ball trophy and join this illustrious list of DWTS winners?

Teen Mom 2 Season 7 Episode 9 Recap: Kailyn Talks (Lack of) Sex Life

On Teen Mom 2 Season 7 Episode 9, sex talk was off the hook, while some of the obligatory legal and custody battles brewed as well.

At a concert with fiance Cole DeBoer, Chelsea Houska referred to her man’s “ding-dong” and vowed to have Jason Aldean “sign my vag.”

Good times. Meanwhile, her daughter Aubree Lind needed glasses and suffered a complete meltdown over getting her eye drops put in.

Poor thing. Meanwhile, Javi Marroquin arranged (from overseas) for Kailyn Lowry and her friends to go out partying, which was cool.

Not so cool? Kailyn’s sex life, or lack thereof.

“I’m fine … that’s what toys are for,” she mused before complaining about her shower head. “I’m just pissed it doesn’t come off.”

“Javi asked me to send him naked pictures all the time. But I won’t because it’s too risky. What if I send it to the wrong person?”

These are the risks we face today, it’s true.

Meanwhile, Javi was not enjoying deployment, venting to his wife via FaceTime and showing signs of cracking from abroad.

“I can’t go anywhere,” he said. “I don’t have anything here. I have my room. I eat, and I sleep to wake up again. It’s just hard.”

Between being apart and two little kids, it’s no wonder Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin divorce rumors have run rampant lately.

Meanwhile, the drama escalated between Jenelle Evans, her mother Barbara Evans, and Jenelle’s new boyfriend David Eason.

Babs, as usual, was withholding Jenelle’s son Jace, which has been an ongoing issue and which David was very upset about.

“She never wants you to see him, she doesn’t want you to keep him on holidays,” Eason drawled to Jenelle. “That ain’t right.”

“She’s trying to keep your own child from you.”

Barbara ended up getting into a screaming match with David after she picked Jace up, yelling at him as Jenelle hid out in the bedroom.

“Call the police! You live here, and she pays all the bills like every other guy!” Barbara yelled, to which David responded in kind.

Not at all dysfunctional down in the Carolinas.

Finally, Leah Messer and Corey Simms were at odds again, not long after they had agreed to split custody and seemed to turn a corner.

At issue? Messer’s lawyer listed the young mother of three and Corey as “joint custodians,” which was not cool with Simms’ attorney.

Corey’s take on this latest legal twist?

“If the judge says Leah’s primary custodian, [I] hope she makes some right decisions, and she don’t end up in jail for truancy or something stupid like that.”

Leah doesn’t care if Corey Simms dies.

“To do what he’s done to my kids? I don’t care if he takes another breath … All I can do is fight against it. That’s all I can do.”

Stay tuned.
